To be fair, it wasn't bad. It was free, so that's always a plus. However, when it isn't free anymore (starting April 10 I believe), this is going to be a huge waste of money to anyone who buys it. The cars added are excellent, but you can't transfer them over to the main game of FH2. Therefore, once you finish the expansion and get bored (which happens within a few hours), there is nothing to do and no point in returning. If they would've let you keep the cars and transfer them over to Forza Horizon 2, this "demo" would've earned a 9.

Maybe I'm just bitter because they called it an "expansion" which made me think of Storm Island, when in reality it is so much less.

Personally, if this game wasnt free I would tell you not to pick it up, there is nothing new about this expansion, its just more forza horizon 2 with zero additional content to make this interesting, if you ahve beaten every race, unlocked ever car and got every achievement in forza horizon 2 this is the game for you, if you havent, just play horizon 2 some more, youll get the samePersonally, if this game wasnt free I would tell you not to pick it up, there is nothing new about this expansion, its just more forza horizon 2 with zero additional content to make this interesting, if you ahve beaten every race, unlocked ever car and got every achievement in forza horizon 2 this is the game for you, if you havent, just play horizon 2 some more, youll get the same experience.

It gets a 7 rating because it plays just as well as its base game and has really easy achievements, I was hoping for some cool chases, stunts and action a la need for speed the run but all i got was the same old races in some different cars with only one radio station to listen to.

It's like winning a trip to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory......except your diabetic

Let me start by saying I'm not a F&F fanboy. Maybe this might be a "Must Have" for fans. I thought the movies were entertaining in the way low budget movies are entertaining. (You know the type where the hero shoots away with his 6 shooter without reloading like a belt fed door gunner!? Gets shot in

(You know the type where the hero shoots away with his 6 shooter without reloading like a belt fed door gunner!? Gets shot in the shoulder then gets into a MMA fist fight and is still using the arm?!)

I'm reviewing this not as "FREE" but as its stiff $10 price.

I know this tactic from iphone games. Early on the ratings are high cause "Hey its free" Then when the trial period ends paying customers who are on the fence about the concept. Pay and get the game based on its artificially high reviews they sadly find out its not a "OMG!!! 11 out of 10" Game but a cash grab.

This would have been wonderful as a demo. pre-release of the full game. Not afterward though...

Now to the bread and butter.

Its basically a shell of what most people buy Forza for. A free roam experience you can tackle at your own leisure. Ex. Don't like Front wheel drive? Well don't fret that light Honda you were gifted can be made Rwd or Awd! That car with a boat anchor engine can be swapped out for a range of up to 3 engines (usually) as well as either a turbo, twin turbo or twin screw supercharger and centrifugal supercharger.

Well there's none of that here....

    Con's
Only a part of the full map is available.
Most of the cars are already available in the full game.
No modifying whatsoever performance parts, paint, bodykitsaero, and rims.
Some events are reused from the full game (Like really? That's just lazy especially when your making people pay for it!)
Cars have stats but you can't cycle to see what those stats actually mean in Horsepower, Torque and weight.
Its a stand alone so nothing carries over to your career.
It's a huge download for essentially a lot of redundant data. If you own the game.(Every time i turn on my xbox i hope updates aren't huge. So I don't have to uninstall anything to make room)

    The Pro's
Its a standalone game (Although its a disservice to the full game to judge it from this)
    1000 Easy gamer points
    New bucket list
    New Radio station
Finally get to drive iconic black Charger
The models of the cars are great (The butterfly's on the blower open up at full throttle)
Ludacris's voice overs are pretty good. (Although other than that you don't really get a sense that this has any affiliation with the series)
The best original feature would be the "NOS" that's added to events. Its not really imperative that you use it. (Honestly forgot i had it half the time.) It comes on slowly and doesn't really seem like your getting a kick in the pants like it should.

Personally I thought it was underwhelming. If they had done this right it could have been epic! But no they were content to ride the hype train. Much like COD and Battlefield of recently.

Please take my advice and only get it if you

    A. Are a Hardcore F&F fan and would probably buy Paul Walkers underwear on Ebay. For the cost of a fully prepped track car.

    B. Caught this early on before it goes for actual cash instead of bandwidth.

I'm on steam, Xbox, and Playstation under the name of UZBEDEAD.
Drop me a line... or don't haha I don't take myself too seriously.

Decent. Great for achievement hunters. Took me about 4 hours to get all the achievements. Very short and don't expect it to tie into fast and furious much. Only play if you can get it for free or very cheap.

Just to clarify, I'm framing my opinions of this game around its current €10 price tag, not its initial two-week free period, so as to have a parallel between content and value.

For what it's worth, essentially now that the exclusive cars you got in this game are now in the main game as DLC, Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious isn't a bad little spinoff. You get 11 cars (an additional Huracan was unlockable through Forza Rewards*), the French portion of FH2's open world (sans Sisteron), a well curated soundtrack compiled of some of FH2's existing soundtrack with two exclusive songs (plus excerpts of the Furious 7 score), and the same Forza Horizon gameplay. As a free game, this is an awesome amount of content, but for €10, I'd only recommend buying it if the showcase events and the story interest you, which is okay at best. Still though, it's not a regrettable purchase. In context, it's actually still a pretty good bargain, considering what else you can get for that price, *cough... CoD:AW DLC cough*. I still recommend getting the core game simply for the amount of content and replayability it provides, but his is still a fun little standalone addition to your Xbox One game collection. Just make sure you've got a spare 12-15 GB!

É uma boa DLC, principalmente partindo do principio que eu a recebi de graça. A temática é bem aproveitada, os carros são bons, e de resto... é forza horizon.

It worked as a free demo, but now it costs real money, it'll leave you feeling Fleeced & Furious. [June 2015, p.91]

Although this expansion is short and skimpy on features, it’s still fun and I had a great time to playing through it.

Cheap Forza Horizon 2 add-on is trying to sponge on the movie license, but consistency with Fast and Furious franchise is almost none.
