I would absolutely recommend you pick up Episode Ignis. Its connection with the main story makes it the best piece of DLC for the game by far, and the spelldaggers that Ignis wields may well be my favourite battle mechanics of the entire game

Square Enix recognized its failures from the first two DLCs and was able to address some of them in Episode Ignis. It doesn't entirely redeem the season pass, but it is worth picking up piecemeal for five bucks, or as part of the eventual Game of the Year edition. With the last season pass story add-on out, the cycle of Final Fantasy XV is complete.

I came backIt's been 5 years since I last launched FF15, because I spent 200 hours on it and needed a break before launching the last 2 dlcs. I came back to the main menu with so much nostalgia, remembering how much this universe/ story shook me, I spent 5 minutes on the main menu just to appreciate this piano main theme.
The DLC itself finally brings intels about the biggest ellipse of the main story, letting us play as Ignis with a dynamic gameplay based on elemental daggers. The fights show potential though it is sometimes difficult to read due to camera issues mainly (as the main game). The strength here is the story, bringing light on this not so secondary character, and there, the storytelling, staging, musics are just perfectly orchestrated and I went trough the last pieces of history of this universe with great pleasure.
This opus was not perfect obviously, but it still remains one of my very favourite ones, it is a shame it is globally under appreciated.
