    I love football and I played every PES and Fifa game since 1995. I do not understand low user scores for Fifa 18 since I think it is one of the best Fifa’s and my favourite right now in 2021. Probably users were right since it had goalkeeper problems and too effective finence shots at launch. Still if you are not happy from goalkeepers you can improve them from options menu skillers (I adjusted to 55 and perfectly balanced now). Regarding graphics, animations and most of all gameplay is amazing. Shots, passes, defending and CPU AI is great. After buying fifa 21 i hated the game and I regret I bought it. I decided to try old Fifa games and downloaded Fifa 18 and I was so surprised. For me Fifa 18 is the best football game now .I am a Career Mode player and I enjoy it so much.It is a great improvement on Fifa 17 basis. Additionally World Cup 2018 is very enjoyable and licensed. Regarding online I will not comment because I did not play much.
    This game is hundred times better than Fifa 21 and Fifa 20 and better than Pes 2020 and 2021.

    In conclusion, even today in 2021 January I strongly recommend all players to give Fifa 18 a try. A final hint will be that for Fifa 18 EA finished gameplay title updates in January 2018 (4 months from launch) whereas in last Fifa games it continoues till May. It shows how gameplay is better in my opinion.

You can't just spam through balls and hope that one of them goes well... through!
    Defending is also much trickier, you can't just rely on the AI to recover for you if you mess up.
    The Goalies are terrible so far this year; you can just spam long shots until the goalie messes up which is pretty often.

    FUT: There are more ways to make coins than ever before in FUT; which makes it easy for anyone to get big name players this year. The ability to get coins easy this year also makes some of the impossible SBC's from last year seem possible this year. Then there's the addition of "Squad Battles," which gives players who have a hard time getting into "FUT Champs" a chance to get the same rewards playing offline.

    The Journey: The Journey was one of the biggest improvements in this years FIFA. Its story is much longer and deeper.    … Expand

    The game is entertaining and the career mode with the two possibilities of technician and player meet the story mode is good but not the great things.
    He also has good graphics and moves, he'll love every football fan

    Great game. Played 10 games and definitely the best Fifa up to date.
    Defending is difficult but if you set up tactic correctly at the end of the match you have a high chance to win.
    Presentation is great, gameplay maybe not as good as in PES but still massive improvement from the previous versions.

Everything plays more realistic and fluid, and the passing and defending are some of the best I’ve ever played in a FIFA game. Fans of the Career Mode will be greatful that some new additions have been added to the mode, and I must admit that I was very impressed with the new addition of real-life transfers. There is a plethora of modes for you to play and quite frankly this game will keep you playing till the next series, especially because the Ultimate Team is as addictive as ever. I was very pleased to see the return of Alex Hunter’s story, and I think this chapter is even better than the first chapter. The presentation side of the game is absolutely awesome. Visually the players look like their real life counterparts, and the amount of details that have gone into the stadiums is fantastic. The soundtrack though was definitely the worst thing about the game, and nothing at all stood out here. At the end of the day FIFA 18 is definitely the best FIFA I’ve played in years. They have listened to the fans and tweaked a lot of things whilst catering to us all, which is great. The football feels as realistic as ever and they have managed to make you become even more immersed with what’s happening on screen. Without a shadow of a doubt FIFA is definitely still the best football game in the market and fans of the series will love the new additions, and it gets a massive thumbs up from me.… Expand

    I only played the demo and from what I played of it I do like the sound of the follow on, The Journey but I don't like how its just like every other Fifa no new tricks or anything different like Fifa street has ever been bought into the game!

    I've played a lot of FIFA and I find it one of the most successful. The story mode was a good idea and the look of the characters hasn't changed much since this game. The gameplay was fun if you played with friends. Alone you feel more how much the game was repetitive.

Y, sobre todo, el juego casino en el que los menores se dejan un dineral abriendo sobres de jugadores con forma de tragaperras.

    Al menos su modo historia, llamado El camino, es entretenido.     Da dove iniziare parlando di questo fifa 18... È sempre difficile giudicare un gioco a cadenza annuale come questo in quanto le novità sono veramente poche. Difendere è diventato più difficile, tutta l'enfasi del gioco è riposta nel gioco d'attacco portando una partita a risultati tennistici. I giocatori veloci sono ancora molto OP rispetto ai compagni più lenti e sappiamo tutti a cosaDa dove iniziare parlando di questo fifa 18... Il colpo d'occhio generale dal punto di vista grafico è buono ma i giocatori sembrano fatti di pongo se visti da vicino. Per.ultima la caratteristica più frustrante dell'intera produzione: il momentum. È ancora presente nell edizione attuale e solitamente si verifica dopo una striscia di vittorie consecutive, la tua squadra fino ad allora imbattibile e forte di un gioco solido, tende a perdere ogni contrasto e sbagliare passaggi fino ad allora basilari.     I want to express my frustration with FIFA 18 and list everything wrong with it. EA ruined all the fun experience that FIFA 17 was, even with the same basic mechanics.

    I play FIFA since ’98 for N64. Not every year, but I’ve played at least 8 versions during these 20 years – not including the FWC games. After not playing it since ‘12 on PS3, I’ve bought FIFA 17 on PC and it was smooth as    I want to express my frustration with FIFA 18 and list everything wrong with it. EA ruined all the fun experience that FIFA 17 was, even with the same basic mechanics.

    I play FIFA since ’98 for N64. Not every year, but I’ve played at least 8 versions during these 20 years – not including the FWC games. After not playing it since ‘12 on PS3, I’ve bought FIFA 17 on PC and it was smooth as silk, probably the best FIFA ever. I had more than 400 hours of gameplay in 8 months, I mean, the game was close to perfection. So I bought a XBOX just to play FIFA 18 with a larger playerbase and legends, and also played some FIFA 17 there just to see how different it was. It was different, but even better.

    Than I was so confident it was going to be a step up that I bought the ICON edition. But boy, I was wrong. It’s heart breaking how bad the gameplay turned out to be. And critics are praising it, seriously? I hate PES but this year I am seriously thinking about migrating for it, if updates don’t fix everything that’s wrong with FIFA 18 (I’ll get there).

    I am not a good player - but I am not the worst. I got to DIV4 in FUT17 and managed to play a FUT Champions Weekend even just discovering this feature a couple months ago. I never took more than 6 goals in FUT 17, rarely took 3. But in couple days in FUT 18 I already lost 10-2, 8-0, lots of 6-0s, 5-0,s and just two or three games where I had a chance. I know it’s the launch week and everyone is playing on DIV10, and also takes time to adapt to the changes.
    But the problem is not that I am losing every match and not adapted, is that the gameplay is so bad that I am not feeling the will to get adapted to it at all. I had that will for learning FIFA 17 because it was good. FIFA 18 is not. That’s the true.

    Enough talking, what is so bad about it? I tell you:

    - First of all, finesse shots are RIDICULOUSLY overpowered. In FIFA17, long shots were overpowered, yes, but you had to add some spin to the ball on a power shot for a good result – it was satisfying and had some challenge in it. Plus, there was a need to rotate your shooting style for each occasion. But in FIFA 18, if you are in any position at the field - it doesn’t matter really –, you can be close to the midfield or to the corner line, even with your face at a 90º angle to the goal, if the way is clear, just do a finesse shot and it will find the target. Annoying and not fun at all.

    - Assists for air balls possession is nerfed and that was bad. You can say it is “closer to reality” or “harder requires skill” or even that it is a “matter of taste”, but the truth is: it just made the gameplay clunky and stupid, especially because any adversary running like a troll into your direction will take the ball from your player before you even have the chance to get the possession and protect/pass it.

    - Defensive AI for the players you are not controlling, including call player assist, is really bad. Again, you can call it “realism”, but the AI rarely takes the ball back, players get entangled way much more than in FIFA 17, and it changes all the defensive metagame for more casual players in a way that, again, ruins all the fun. Not everyone is quick to change players every second. Area cover is just useless now, while in FIFA 17 being strategic and thinking ahead of your opponent was the key for me to recovering the ball, with some good help of the defensive AI. Now you have to master jockey movement and change players like crazy or just quit the game.

    - Reverse body faint was a little overpowered in FIFA 17, but in FIFA 18 it just breaks any defense technique if you’re not a pro or a god.

    - I took at least 3 goals where my goalkeeper got stupidly entangled with the defender while the ball slipped away to the adversary. Really buggy and annoying.

    - What’s up with the goalies? In the few chances when the overpowered finesse shots don’t hit the target, the goalkeeper just rebounds the ball to the adversary every damn time.
    “Realism” is useless in a game if it ruins the fun I am supposed to have while playing it.

    Please EA, fix at least the overpowered finesse shot on the next patches. It is disturbing.

    EDIT 11/10/2017: The goalkeepers' AI seems a little better after the first patch. All the other stuff I've pointed is still messed up.    … Expand

The game comes out to release with such bugs that it is impossible to play. People pay for the game 50-100$, and receive a product that does not work. People tolerated it for years, but sooner or later it has to end.

    This year a new version of the game has surpassed all it's predesestors. And a huge part of the community received a completely broken mode Pro Clubs. Critical bugs that not allow to play friendly games between teams and stopped all the international tournaments held in every country of the world. Hundreds of thousands of players spend 2-3 hours of their time to play only one game each evening struggling with the broken mechanics.And these efforts do not always guarantee success. Almost 2 months as EA sports knows about this issue. It released 4 patches to the game, and not one of them did solve this problem. Players tested all possible reason and the occurrence of this error, reported all this information to support, but they do nothing.

    They spend their resources to repair the small problems of the game modes which bring them money for the donation. But it seems they forget that we already paid for the game, and had to get a quality product. We will do our best to make our voice heard and make executives who are responsible for what is happening respect their customers and players. Otherwise they will lose them, as well as reputation.    … Expand

    Como es de costumbre un FIFA donde lo único que vale la pena son las licencias que posee, por que el juego el lo mismo de siempre un parche sobre el anterior donde encontramos nuevas equipaciones una que otra escasa novedad, y para que la gente se contentase con esta entrega sacaron ahora un DLC con la copa del mundo de forma gratuita, para así mejor en algo el juego

    This game is just another reboot of the Fifa series if your a fan buy it all it has new is 4k graphics and ... that's it! The only new modes are completely broken. This game has so many bugs that it's even hard to count them all!

    in my view football game physics should be fun and nice and the newer the Fifa the less fun the phyics the best Fifa is Fifa 14 im giving 4/10 because Fifa 18 is way better then Fifa 22

My players stopped moving towards passes, or defending at all for that matter despite my defensive tactics. The AI buried two ridiculous goals on farI'd consider myself an average FIFA player, but could win most games at the World Class difficulty last year. This year? Just finished a single player seasons game in FUT where I led 2-0 at the 40th minute, and the opponent AI just took over. My players stopped moving towards passes, or defending at all for that matter despite my defensive tactics. The AI buried two ridiculous goals on far out shots. My keeper conceded another he easily should have stopped. Insult to injury, I end up with a wide open net in the 85th minute and despite aiming for the middle of the goal with average power my striker puts it off the post. Get brutally slide tackled in the box in the 93rd minute...no call.

    The worst part was there was nothing I could do. If I lose and I deserve it that's one thing, but this is a lazy way for the developers to make the game harder. You'd occasionally get this on World Class in FIFA 17 but it didn't feel that common. In 18, I feel totally powerless despite my FUT being pretty solid.

    As someone who doesn't like to play online, this is a deal breaker for me, because the game simply isn't fun to play.    … Expand

    Si tienes FIFA 17, 16, 15, 14 o 13, ya tienes al menos lo mismo que este FIFA. En mi caso he tenido incluso más problemas con el Audio durante los partidos. Siento un retroseso incluso con respecto al 17 y para jugar el FUT, es un Pay to Win en toda regla.

Todas las mecánicas se basan en hacerte comprar Fifa Points para tener a los mejores jugadores, a los que se les tiene que invertir cientos de horas para conseguirlos jugando sin tener que pagar dinero real. Se ha modificado la forma en que se realizan las transferencias en el modo Carrera, pero básicamente es la única novedad. La jugabilidad es la misma que tiene Fifa 17, por lo tanto no recomiendo comprarse esta versión si ya se posee la anterior. En resumen, Fifa 18 es un Pay to Win en su modo más popular y lo demás ha sido abandonado por EA hace mucho tiempo.… Expand

    i have played Fifa since 13 and consistently play in divsion 2 & 3, so I onsider myself an above average player, that puts only time and effort into the game but every year it has gotten worse! Fifa 17 was by far the worst game I have ever played full stop. All these new special cards and SBC's have made it easier for players to pay to win, as players like me cant compete with the amounti have played Fifa since 13 and consistently play in divsion 2 & 3, so I onsider myself an above average player, that puts only time and effort into the game but every year it has gotten worse! Even when I win I get incredibly frustrated with this game. This is the last Fifa I will ever play and and idc about the licencing anymore as i'm really considering buying Pes next season and I urge fans fed up with Fifa and EA to do the same.     Worst FIFA ever, FUT matches are too long, playing the game is a suffering that appears to never end, funcionality with web/phone apps is locked behind some random number of games or unlock instantly by buying FIFA coins.

    El juego tiene innumerables bugs, se repite año tras otro y nos pone de los nervios. Pero estamos enganchados al Ultimate Team. Uno de los grandes problemas son los servidores del juego. Van fatal y es extremadamente difícil jugar competitivamente contra guiris.

    In the end, FIFA 18 isn’t a tremendous, leaps-and-bounds improvement over FIFA 17, but EA Canada did fix what matters most — the on-field gameplay. While the other modes either stay the course or take a melodramatic dip downward, ultimately FIFA 18 shows that EA Sports is aware of the competition breathing down its neck, and is willing to make the necessary changes to regain the throne.

    FIFA 18 offers the best game of football that the series has seen in some time and provides the best overall package for fans of the sport. It might not be up there in terms of authenticity with PES on the pitch, but this year's release has made up some ground, excelling at providing those wow moments that gets fans of the real sport on their feet and punching the air. With an interesting return of Alex Hunter, new game modes to try, and a level of presentation and detail that can’t be found anywhere else, FIFA 18 is easy to recommend to long-running fans of the series and is a solid jumping in point for people who might have skipped a few years.
