Players who aren’t willing to relax a bit and let Fe take some control of their experience might have trouble, but most everyone else will find an affecting, unique romp through the woods backed by touching moments and some of the most inventive design to come from a major publisher in ages.

Fe is a well-crafted game from beginning to end. The adventure isn’t the longest in the world, but is rewarding and fun while it lasts. The platforming is mostly great, with a couple of nagging issues holding it back, while the larger-scale world-usage gives the adventure a greater sense of scope than most platformers. Its neon-soaked graphics and atmospheric soundtrack makes it a joy for both the eyes and the ears, and anyone with a thirst for a new platforming adventure should give it a shot.

Fe offers us a fantastic world to discover, with great visual and audio design and a very accessible gameplay. It stumbles on the storytelling department though, with a too fragmented and inconclusive story.

EA Originals’ first game, Fe, is a beautiful and whimsical platformer that takes you on a magical and musical adventure though a colorful Nordic-inspired world.

Next to the beautiful art and sound design, Fe has some great moments - and one truly monumental. But unfortunately that moments is wasted to early in the game, followed my mechanical routine bar any surprises. It is entertaining throughout, but in the end it could have been much more. Nonetheless a good entry point for EA’s Originals indie label.

I've finished Fe and still don't know what it was about. I understand the major events and structure of the story, but there's so much about the why that I'll never understand. Maybe that was the point, maybe not. I think the game succeeded in getting its point across regardless, as it made me care about its world and inhabitants. While the game could definitely use some polish and re-working, by and large it was a calming, enjoyable experience.

With FE, Zoink Games proves that it have the trust of Electronic Arts with a 3D platform with a different and visually stunning artistic design.

Fe may be occasionally rough around the edges and gameplay derivative, but failure to look beyond that is missing the forest for the trees.

Fe is a wonderful and endearing adventure that’s slightly let down by niggling control issues. This game brilliantly merges stealth and platforming together, with a collection of well designed puzzles thrown in for both meaning and balance. The visual presentation remains rich and diverse throughout, serving up an experience that wont be forgotten in a hurry.

Fe is a new platform adventure that you will go through without anyone directing your steps. As you progress through the game, you will discover a plot that will unfold without words.

Like Unravel before it, Fe is another triumph for the EA Originals program as Zoink don’t hesitate to flex their creative muscle. Despite a few foibles, the core mechanics are sound enough. Though it’s in its world-building and artistic direction that Fe truly shines, with a spacious map that sparks the kindling of exploration and ignites that love for adventure.

Fe is a beautifully ethereal game that, despite its flaws with plot comprehension and spatial organization, is a pleasure to play. If you’re fine with wandering, and don’t mind the feeling of being swept along on a journey rather than pioneering the journey yourself, then the weak points of this game will seem a lot less weak.

Fe isn’t an awful game though, but it’s a bit disappointing, and I feel as though there definitely could have been some additional polish to make the experience better. That being said, I was addicted to collecting songs, discovering crystals and making friends with a lovable group of forest creatures. If you can get over the frustrating platforming and sometimes clunky controls, you should definitely check out this stylish and unique first entry in the EA Orginals library.

Playing Fe makes it clear that Zoink has not only created a game, but also a piece of art that is a definite reflection on humans’ relationship with nature and the need for understanding that every creature has an important place in this world.

Fe is a game with a clear message and most of all a game that knows how to impress with a unique style. A wonderful world with pleasant music is waiting for patient gamers.

Beautiful moments of platforming brilliance exist, but so do moments of needless frustration. Still, the game has its charms and is worth a look if you're either obsessed with or brand new to the last decade's worth of arthouse gaming. There are far more brilliant games in this genre to recommend, but Fe will certainly do you no harm over its short play time.

Fe is all very lovely and (literally) harmonious, with fun layers of platforming. Coloured flowers and singing is a nice enough way to spend a rainy afternoon.

While there's no denying that we need to be reminded that living in harmony with the natural world gives us strength, Fe's gameplay mechanics and moment-to-moment action are not always rewarding. Its emotional arc lacks the clear structure and coherent ending that some of its cousins -- like Journey or Ori -- have done better. Fe's world is aesthetically pretty but pretty frustrating to navigate, given the imprecision of its platforming and while its use of music --both in gameplay and as an underscore -- is unique and lovely, it isn't quite enough to carry the game for its handful of hours.

Fe is simple yet complex, stylised and engaging. A six-hour affair, it’s perfect for those who found delight in Journey and, to a lesser degree, Ori and the Blind Forest. For others, it might be too much style over substance.

There’s a world of difference between pretty cute and worth playing. Fe does a tremendous job of the former, but as far as the latter goes, it leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Overall, Fe is a decent little game. While there’s not much to do except solve a puzzle, travel to the next puzzle, solve it, it still has some interesting things going for it. I just really wish the camera and platforming was a bit better, and while I understand what the developers were going for with the minimalist tutorial and explanation in both gameplay and story, I could have used a bit more just to help out in some instances. It’s not a bad game, but it’s not a very memorable one either.

The themes of nature, balance, and the connectiveness between all living things is strong and can be felt throughout. In the end Fe certainly looks the part but doesn’t quite have enough memorable moments or feeling of discovery to match its ambitious design.

Its platforming is okay but unimaginative, and its best ideas, like the tree jumping and singing affecting the world, remain underused. It can be a beautiful game at times, especially with regards to its music and audio design, but not so much so that it hides its rougher edges and undeveloped concepts.

Fe feels like an experimental platformer trying to make an emotional statement. It leans heavily on the gimmick of using songs to interact with nature, but if you're not floored by this angle - there's not much else for you.

A unique but flawed puzzle game set in a world that is never less than engaging.

Fe is a visually beautiful game that also delivers atmospheric audio pieces, but that sadly does not fulfill the promises of a truly great 3D platformer.

It tries to tell a story about animals overcoming adversity in a large interconnected forest, but falls short in just about every aspect.

Sure, it’s beautiful — and after the end credits have rolled and you’re free to explore the world, bereft of annoying puzzles, there’s beauty and secrets to be found at every corner — but as an overall experience the unnecessarily obtuse world design and repetitiveness makes Fe stand out only for its frustrations, not its successes.

For a game that leans so hard into the feeling of discovery, Fe has shockingly little to say about anything. It has no clear goals or worthwhile revelations. The idea of mystery is more alluring than any of the actual mysteries in this forest. It's certainly pretty, and the platforming and light puzzle-solving are adequate enough. But Fe very obviously aims to evoke a certain emotional response, and it fails to evoke much of anything at all. That's nothing short of disappointing. Sometimes the trees are just trees.

Thankfully Zoink! have done the 3D platformer genre justice and when it’s all said and done to say I had an enjoyable time with the game would be a massive understatement. Obviously the most important thing about a game like this is the platforming, and thankfully I never suffered with any problems throughout my playthrough here. Everything felt tight and responsive at all times and this made exploring very fun. Speaking about exploring this game is without a doubt at its best when you explore greatly. There are plenty of things for you to find and the world emanates beauty and feels alive at every turn, which is great. Unfortunately though the game is a little on the short side and I definitely wanted more, which is a testament to how much I enjoyed this game. Something that really makes Fe stand out over the other game’s in the genre is the game’s mechanics. Each different mechanic plays a vital part in the process of the game and it adds to the story which is very unique in some ways. As far as the gameplay goes I actually found it to be pretty decent. There are plenty of puzzles for you to get to grips with and I found these puzzles to be very charming and very rewarding once completed. I will say though that I would have definitely liked a bit more of a challenge when playing this game because I never once felt like I was in trouble and this can harm the game’s replayability. The presentation side of the game is absolutely perfect in my opinion. Visually the game looks gorgeous and you can tell that each different area has had a lot of love and effort put into it. The sound design is also amazing and without a doubt it creates a very charming and immersive atmosphere that never lets you go. At the end of the day Fe surprised me a great deal because I didn’t expect it to be this good. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t think it was going to be bad, but I was shocked by how much I enjoyed my time with the game. Everything about the game shines very bright and the love and effort that’s gone into it is apparent from the get go and for that reason it gets a massive recommendation from me. Full Review »

FortunatelyI was so excited for this game after watching a demo at Gamescom last year. The art, music, and theme were right up my alley. Fortunately after getting my hands on it last week, it did not disappoint. The game is beautiful, the music stirring, and the game mechanics are tight and original. Although very short, I thought everything was really well executed. To me the game kind of felt like if Viva Pinatas and Inside Out had a weird, yet lovable baby. Full Review »

La cámara, los controles y la jugabilidad en general son muy mejorables, pero no terribles, y la historia rara pero interesante.
Buen juego entretenido y curioso para pasarse en un finde si te gustan esta clase de juegos.
