2 stars. Do you know why I think this DLC deserves 2 stars? Because it was the final chance Bethesda had to create a quality expansion and they failed to do so, by a long shot. When fallout 3 came out, it was an amazing game, but by the time all of the expansions had been released, it was a masterpiece. Given, the Pitt and Point Lookout were a little weak in the story department, but they still managed to produce a new experience with quality gameplay and great new items introduced. I know New Vegas wasn't bethesda's doing, but that is a game with spectacular, interesting gameplay when all of the DLCs are included. It was the previous game in the franchise, so Fallout 4 had a lot to live up to coming off the starting line. I understood that. I bought an Xbox One SPECIFICALLY to play it, and I didn't like the mechanics of the game and the gameplay seemed to be a bit lackluster most of the time, but I knew that the DLCs of the 2 previous games improved those traits substantially. So, I waited for all of the DLCs to come out. Aaaaand what happened?

Bethesda released a season pass full of patch-worthy improvements with a mess of unnecessary and impractical devices for your settlement. Nuka World was my last hope, and it was the same half-assed BS they have been dishing out. The only comparable DLC is Far Harbor because it is the only other expansion pack, side-noted that I think was an oversized area with no real content other than powerful monsters like the glowing sea, and I think this add-on fell short still.

    IN SHORT:

The missions are absolutely monotonous, a few new sub-par items can be had, and the area its self is goofy and reminiscent of a Call-of-Duty-DLC-map. The characters are shallow and unthoughtful, and the rewards are not worth the burdenous gameplay.

Its not worth your money, and if you bought the season pass like I did, your time. I was truly, truly disappointed by the rushed feel of this DLC. It was flat-out offensive as a finisher to the game's PATHETIC list of DLCs.

Well, I'm not going to do it! I'm going to just kill all the raider characters, named and unnamed, in this rotten DLC and forgo Bethesda's evil storyline, and then I'm going to .... wait a minute .... is this another of those damned Vault Tech social experiments? Man, I sure got taken in. Well, I'm still going to wipe out those Raiders. That's what hero's do.
Secondly, this DLC is way more buggy than the usual Bethesda fare, with collectables missing and quest chains broken. So even if forgiven for trying to make us evil scum, Nuka-World is still bad.

Where i think its safe to say that Bethesda Studios is just incompetent rather than a bad company, this DLC takes full stride in wearing it dunce hat as it parades across the evergrowing plague that is Fallout 4.

I think the primary issue with this DLC is that it completely forgets its target audience entirely and where there may be poorly textured severed heads and guts sticking out like a sore thumb. The overly childish nature of the entire DLC feels more the like the material featured in a 12 year olds wet dream rather than the product of someone who achieved a higher level of education to be able to write this utter trife. The best way that I can describe the story to someone is that if The Pitt from Fallout 3 was given a PG rating and had the depth of a puddle in terms of storytelling ability.

In addition general gameplay dosent seem to have improved in the slightest with a whole new array of subpar weapons and armor that you will never likely use. One new addition, a water gun is among these which serves a single purpose as a gimmick in one mission before its use other than a decoration is ruled out entirely. Moreover the look of the environment like the main game is completely ugly with the same trash piles and poorly designed folliage covering up how bland and lifeless the ammusement park is.

Although i heavily disliked this DLC i now have a sense of absolutely joy as i pack away this game never for it to see the light of day and look forward to the forgetting that this game ever existed. For those now downloading the DLC I only suggest that you find a better means to relocate the 5GB this DLC takes to install

Hope you're playing an evil character, cause if not, this DLC is a massive f**k you to everything you worked hard to achieve in FO 4. Bethesda has become a huge joke.

Okay look, many are pissed about this dlc because you basically become a raider leader (probably) but the gameplay environment and expansion is actually very nice.

People want to be good and then get mad when the games better when you're evil. Oh well ya know go play Fallout 3 and New Vegas because they did the same damn thing. Sometimes you have to be evil I blew up Megaton and then was nice to everyone else because I needed those damn caps son. Thats an essential role to Fallout don't like it go play something else, but you know thats just my opinion.

I know that not all will agree with me, but I think Fallout 4 was a wonderful game and one of the best I've played in years, but I'm pretty sure the general consensus on the DLC packs were pretty much all in agreement: it sucked. Besides this and Far Harbor, it was bad to just mediocre. The workshops could've been free add-ons. Anyway, Nuka-World is actually a pretty neat little pack and is actually pretty quality DLC that rivals some in 3 and New Vegas. The story is quite linear and not quite as good as other packs, but there is definitely a lot of content to explore. New legendary power armor sets and some nice new weapons for sure! Loved the Fun House and Nuka-Galaxy coaster as well. Thought those were really fun. The raider settlements are pretty cool, though, they can mess up relations with other characters so I'd do them at my own risk or maybe on another save file, but they're completely optional. Overall I have been pleased with this. Put about 30 hours into this DLC doing the quests and exploring and still haven't gotten everything yet. If you want some good DLC for Fallout, this is a great one for sure.

Nuka-World adds a vast, new and elaborate landscape to Fallout 4 with lots to do and explore. Unfortunately, it's story is poorly integrated into the main game. While it is technically possible to play Nuka-World as a good guy it is not easy because there is no obvious way to do it. The options appear to only be a) bad guy, b) really mean bad guy or c) not quite so mean but still bad guy. For players trying to enjoy more adventure in a Fallout game but not interested in being an evil Warlord completing Nuka-World's quests and missions is kind of a problem.

In itself it's honestly a great expansion...just be careful because it can ruin your experience with the main game/factions/settlements. hate how they did that

Best Fallout DLC for me after Gun Runners Arsenal, not for everyone tho.
Nuka World is really fun to explore and has some awesome details. The Story behind it is awesome but it kinda felt short. Power up, Get this and that and so on.
Verdict: If you want to be evil, a Raider then this is a must buy DLC. If not, then don't touch it

I think that it's poorly integrated into the base game. But everything else other than the Raiders is great. Like the Hobologists or the really good looking suits of power armor, personally it's worth the content but the raider story kind of sucks.

This dlc introduces so many fun new characters and game mechanics that are either entirely new or expand on old systems. The quests are fun and entertaining but drag on a bit. The new map in itself is very cool and fun, lots of colors which the game needed. I think it is definitely a buy and worth they play through. Just the raiders settlement mechanic in itself makes it worth it to me.

Cant see enemies. Dont know where they shooting from. Dogmeat gets in the way while i am looting. Asking me to kill raiders in a factory or some crap but the raiders dont come to me! I must find them and then kill them? Grenade markers are worthless. CRAP GAME WASTE OF TIME. STUPID BETHESDA. EAT 0 NOOB DEVS. CANT EVEN MAKE GAME THESE STUPID DEVS.

  1. Nuka-World doesn’t constitute the best time I’ve had playing Fallout. The action and mild role-playing don’t grow the core experience in any meaningful ways. But it did remind me why this epic post-apocalyptic adventure has kept my attention for nearly two decades, and it has everything to do with the series’ setting, culture, and mythology, all of which echo our own in ways familiar and sometimes uncomfortable.

Nuka-World signals the end of Fallout 4 and the team at Bethesda should be proud of the game they’ve created. Nuka-World gives you several more hours in the wastelands of Fallout 4 and scratches the exploration itch one more time.

The quality of the content isn’t as good as Far Harbour with it’s character driven story, and Bethesda are still way behind the curve of Obsidian’s relentlessly excellent New Vegas DLC, but just for how unique the place is, you’ll get your money’s worth out of it if you’re a fan of the game already and want something a little different to explore.
