It's not anything mindblowing, but there is more here than in the Wasteland Workshop DLC. Bethesda kinda left us up in the air after Far Harbor. We all knew we were going to get a second set of DLC in the same vein as the last set of DLC, but wasn't for sure whenever it was going to happen. Well it's coming the next 3 months and they are including 2 more workshops and another like Far Harbor called Nuka World.
Okay, well, I'd personally take another like Automatron over another workshop, but at least this one has a few things that keep it from being the abomination that was Wasteland Workshop.
Personally, I think these workshops should just be free updates, but as a season pass buyer I get these as they come out. Had I known all these DLC packs wouldn't be story based, I might've changed my mind about buying the season pass, but too late for that now.
Anyway, short and simple, this DLC has some new decorations that are more funny and it also comes with some displays cases to decorate and show off your loot (though, to whom you're showing off isn't clear considering it's not an online game luls). It also has some neat little machines where you can turn junk into toys and different items, which I will admit I got some entertainment from just watching them. Can't give this over a 3, though, to be honest. I don't use the settlements much anymore and really and truly the only way you'll get the most out of this is to be a settlement fanatic, and even then you might still be a bit bored.
I WANT MORE STORY RELATED DLC LIKE FALLOUT 3 AND NEW VEGAS! That's why I purchased this season pass. IS IT THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND, BETHESDA?! I hear that after Nuka World, Bethesda will be done with DLC for this game, and if that is so, it is a shame. Fallout 3 and New Vegas both had 5 large story-related DLCs for $10 a piece... $50. They're wanting to pass off this Season Pass for $50 and only give us half (or less than half really) for the same price? BS.
Far Harbor was priced at $25 (and I'm assuming Nuka World will be $25 as well) but the other Fallout games' DLC was priced at $10 for the same quality. They're thinking they're slick and giving us the 2 story DLCs at full price and these workshops for "free," but they're really only giving us $20 worth of material and trying to sell it for $50 ($30 before the hike, which, thankfully, is when I purchased it.. Can't imagine throwing away $50). Anyway sorry about the griping, but I'm a bit upset at this… Expand
