Jul 11, 2015Codemasters reboot his F1 franchise to take advantage of the new gen consoles' capabilities, but on the way to doing that loses a lot of game modes crippling the game.
-
Jul 10, 2015It could have been an impressive start into the Formula 1 era on current console systems. Visually mostly impressive and with convincing driving physics Codemasters is on the right path. But the overly aggressive AI, the inconsistent penalty system and the disappointing damage system combined with the even further reduced content make sure that this is nothing more than a good foundation on which to build.

X-ONE Magazine UKAug 22, 2015F1 2015 absolutely nails the driving experience, with perfect controls and incredible physics. But the options are so limited, you're likely to get bored fast. Roll on 2016. [Issue#127, p.81]

Aug 20, 2015A solid first effort at Formula One on current consoles, F1 2015 is nevertheless hamstrung by a dearth of modes. The strength of the on-track action does bode well for subsequent F1 games, however, although F1 2015 feels like something of a stop-gap. That said, die-hard F1 fans will still love F1 2015 regardless.
-
Aug 3, 2015Either you really love Formula 1 or you like the fastest type of racing on our planet to love this new official game from Codemasters. F1 2015 is a nice drive and it has a good atmosphere, but it misses depth and a good finish to really impress.
-
Jul 21, 2015In a perfect world, everything here (minus the updated racing info, of course) would have debuted last year as F1 2014. Alas, we now have two F1 games released within mere months of each other that both feel incomplete.
-
Jul 9, 2015The core experience is deep and 60fps racing is welcome, but with many staple features absent and little sense of true excitement, this isn't a great new-gen debut.
-
Jul 26, 2015F1 2015 lays good foundations for the series future on new consoles, but it still needs a lot of work. Too many bugs and the absence of the Career mode, one of the most loved in previous games, make it hard to suggest it even to the biggest Formula One fans.
-
Jul 21, 2015Once again, Codemasters has created an F1 game that's true to the studio's driving pedigree, but fails on other fronts. It looks nice and drives well, but unless you're so caught up in the F1 season that you absolutely have to sate your cravings with a video game, you may have already played this game and put it down.
-
Aug 24, 2015F1 2015 feels like a step backwards for the series, which is disappointing given the new EGO engine, and the current generation of hardware. The core experience, however, remains one of the most realistic racing simulators available.
-
Jul 31, 2015With its lack of a career mode and the problems of the online races, this long awaited next-gen installment of the F1 franchise is disappointing.
-
Jul 23, 2015But, it's not only those racing enthusiasts who will see F1 2015 as lacking. Everyone who tries it will. Its development was short-sighted, and its appeal is thusly short-lived.
-
Jul 16, 2015We're not exactly seeing what the wait was for when it comes to F1 2015. The game is clearly rushed, riddled with bugs and lacking in some relatively basic features.
