I finished Escape From Tethys on Xbox One in three hours. While it definitely has issues that have a negative impact on the overall experience, I can’t help but look back on my time with the game positively, and if you are interested it definitely won’t let you down – if you can push through the tedium.

The opening cutscene showcases retro graphics that feel authentic to the time period the developer wanted to emulate. Many throwback stylized games nail the general feel, but can't resist filling the screen with many more pixels than were possible back in the day. There's no way that anyone hasn’t played this kind of game before. They were everywhere back in the day but Escape from Tethys brining you the good old vibes and a few issues aside as well. Yet these days people are looking for something different but people like myself gamers that started from the days of Pong into the next generation every game has its price and audience it’s trying to share its experience with.
