    Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is an 2.5D scroll Action JRPG with some Metroidvania elements developed by Yoshitaka Murayama (Suikoden series) that feels really basic on the very beginning but as soon as you keep playing and reaching some point in the storyline it will get surprisingly better and fun. This game is a prequel to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, coming next year 2023, but this will be turn-based JRPG instead. Overall, great visual graphics and designs, great 3D environments, beautifully animated, and a japanese-kinda-storyline with probably too many unnecessary sidequests missions and some main missions unnecessary as well. Could be better overall but after 150+ missions and more than 30 hours your love for the characters, the world and ultimately the game, will just keep rising for this new IP.

    Great kickstarter stretchgoal game serving as a prequel to the much larger rpg coming later.

    C’est une espèce de… quoi au juste ?… ah oui, un étron de japoniaiserie indé à la mords-moi-le-noeud ! tout en 2D 256 couleurs (environ) avecC’est une espèce de… quoi au juste ?… ah oui, un étron de japoniaiserie indé à la mords-moi-le-noeud ! tout en 2D 256 couleurs (environ) avec des personnages pixélisés… mais moyennement pixélisés (ce n’est pas du pixel lard ou pixel larve, non quand même pas…).

    Et donc, il paraît que c’est un « J-RPG » (un jeu de rôle japonais) et si l’on reconnaît ici le style manga (certes !), l’on ne voit pas ce qu’il peut y avoir comme « jeu de rôle » (‘roleplay’ comme ils disent en anglais) là-dedans ! c’est en effet le niveau zéro du jeu de rôle. Point merde.

    Et à propos de merde, ce n’est pas seulement les graphismes, c’est aussi le pseudo-jeu en entier, dans son entierté (comme on dit en Belgique) : c’est en effet intégralement de la merde ! on dirait à vrai dire un jeu pour une vieille console Nintendaube. Et encore. Un rétron indé en somme. Direction la poubelle et au pas cadencé, je vous prie : tombez dignement dans la poubelle, l’étron indé à deux yens !    … Expand
