Duck Souls+ is an enjoyable game which tests your platforming skills. The difficulty is a bit all over the place – some levels had me stuck for ages, then the next set I breezed through – but I always kept coming back for one more go. Definitely a good choice if you’re a fan of platformers.

Duck Souls+ on Xbox One has fun gameplay, brisk as it may be. There are just so many better platformers with original voices that you should play first.

Gameplay on Duck Souls+ is a simple but sometimes fustrating affair. As you make your way through the large amount of levels in this action platformer you will encounter plenty of tricky moments at first, though mostly you will account these to your own mistakes rather than the actual game, with plenty of nasty traps eager to clip your feathery wings. With 1000 gamerscore up for grabs this is one that those achievement hunters sought after only needing 75 levels to get them, however completing all 100 leaves you with a satisfying feeling of accomplishment. The controls for this game are ultra simple, requiring very little knowledge of even using a control before and is a great pick up and play game to get a feel for the controller, however sometimes the movements can feel a touch sensitive. The visuals are basic and nothing to write home or get excited about, with pixalated graphics and some nice colouring it is passable for the price point however the graphics isn't what sells the game. Overall: A quackers game that serves up some barmy moments and some fast paced gameplay. Enjoyable but probably not a huge amount of replay value after achievements and game completed. Certainly one for achievement hunters and those who just want a cheap pick up and play. Expand
