Take the role of a drunk guy as he looks for food and collects booze across 7 challenging stages. Along the way, you’ll cross paths with jocks, hipsters, punks and a motley bunch of other enemy types, each with their own unique combat styles.

Hilariously simulating the feel of a drunken fight in dynamic 3D physics, the blows fly past, you constantly fall down and behave ridiculously. Will our inebriated hero ever get home?

As it is, Drunken Fist is a nice proof of concept, but little more than that. If you can find it on sale (the game has been available on other platforms for over a year now, so that shouldn’t be difficult), you can probably glean a couple of hours of enjoyment from its shambling nonsense. Otherwise, it’s a shallow experience that doesn’t quite pull off its one trick well enough to recommend.

Drunken Fist hides wonky physics, hard to use controls and a toilet humour behind the set-up of being drunk, and while it’s passably funny for a short while, it’s also not something that will be on the playlist for more than the hour or so it’ll take to beat the seven levels.

Drunken Fist is built on a very thin foundation, executed in poor taste, and poorly created in general. It's very much what I imagine a drunken brawl to be like. Slow, painful and not particularly enjoyed by anyone.

Don’tDrunken Fist is a funny drunken physics-based beat 'em up game. Drunken brawls, lawlessness and more fun! Look for food and booze! Don’t forget to urinate on the asphalt… or on your enemies. Drunken Fist: Totally Accurate Beat-em-up is the latest in the trend of semi-broken, physics based titles that aim for comedy and antics over solid gameplay. There’s nothing wrong with this approach as it often leads to some good laughs however at the same time there’s really nothing more here than about an hour of the same joke repeating. You start off as a hammered old man in a polygonal world who wants nothing more than to beat up some random bad dudes. He’s mostly inebriated, and despite having a surprisingly large amount of basic combat commands only a few of them actually work. This game is mostly just drunken stumbling, fumbling, and outright missing almost every sort of attack by a mile. I would say this is a result of shoddy mechanics and poor execution, but it’s really just because you’re drunk fighting. A very obvious status which your character oddly needs to utilize while hiding from nearby police. Drunken Fist quite obviously does not take itself too seriously, so I am not going to review it like a game that does. It relies on gimmicks and gags in a similar way as games like Goat Simulator did. Once the gimmick wears off, there’s not a whole lot here. It’s not overly expensive so achievement hunters will find something here to boost the good old gamer score drunken style. Expand
