The dawn of a new hero!

A thousand years ago, a great battle ensued between two dragons, one gold and the other silver, where they were sealed away. However, the real tale begins many centuries later after the Silver Dragon reawakens, and launches an assault on a frontier village in the far north.

There, a royal knight by the name of Lucas serves as a guard after being relegated to the rural and much isolated location by the King. Yet, little does he know he is, in fact, a descendant of the hero, Alaric, who once sealed the Gold and Silver Dragons in human form. Nonetheless, when tragedy strikes, he soon finds his place, and after teaming up with a band of unlikely companions, sets out on an adventure to save the world.

If you have a soft spot for retro RPGs and want to spend time in a lighthearted world with plenty of humour then you'll definitely enjoy what Dragon Lapis has to offer. It may be too simple at times but there's no denying just how well-crafted of a journey it is.

Dragon Lapis on Xbox One is easy, but fun. The story is pretty good, however the controls are annoying and the whole thing does seem a little bloated, forcing us to go to places that we really don't need to. Aside from that though, all in all it’s a pretty good little playthrough. If you like a retro JRPG, but aren't very good at them, this could well be the game for you!

Dragon Lapis tells you the story of a world at strife as two dragons waged war against one another, until the world is in ruin. Before the entirety of the world is destroyed, a hero named Alaric rose to defeat the dragons. After 1000 Years of peace, the dragons are awoken from their slumber. Now the descendant of Alaric must rise to the call and save the world again from the dragons wrath. As with other KEMCO titles you get to play with tons of RPG mechanics, allowing you to tailor your experience as you play. You can decide to Utilize, or ignore some of the games, many many, aspects. From areans, to jobs, you never have a lack of things to accomplish, most all of which help you advance your character. The story is packed with fun dialogue and great turn based combat. The score is an awesome mix of the classic sounds, and electronic beats that drive your combat and keep you chilling on the maps. Truly bringing home to 90's RPG vibe, KEMCOs' titles always touch that special place that holds so many classic RPGs dear. Dragon Lapis while not a AAA RPG is packed to the brim with enemies, variants, weapons, spells, and skills that will keep you grinding until the dragons get put back to bed for a millennia. Expand
