Very fun and entertaining, in addition to being original.

Double Kick Heroes is, by far, one of the most unique rhythm games I've played. While some of the early songs are dull and the difficulty modes need adjusting, I can still confidently recommend this to hardcore rhythm game fans.

Double Kick Heroes a very fun add to the Game Pass library and it’s a blast to play with friends passing the controller back and forth while sipping on a few adult beverages. The soundtrack slaps and the story and dialog don’t get in the way while you’re trying to just chill and have a good time. Double Kick Heroes knows what it is, and it does it pretty well.

Double Kick Heroes is a decent rhythm game with plenty of challenge and is considerably tricky to master. It has a fun zombie story line with a nod to Romero’s classics. The metal tracks are decent to listen to if you are a fan of the genre, and it is fun to play along to at the correct difficulty level. It probably would have been easier to play with a makeshift instrument device, but the experience isn’t lessened by playing with a controller.

The difficulty of Double Kick Heroes can be offputting and the story, while amusing, was no great shakes. That said, there was just something about it that made me want to rock on. Whether it’s worth a purchase is a matter of taste, but anyone with Game Pass should give it a try.

If you’ve ever tapped along to the drum beat of heavier music, Double Kick Heroes on the Xbox One is perfect for you. At harder difficulties your controller will take an absolute beating, but the sheer diversity of metal music on offer here ensures that there is a track or three for all fans of the genre.

Hilarious premise aside, Double Kick Heroes is a solid albeit simple rhythm game with a great soundtrack that you can rock out to.

I'd never heard of it before it came on the GamePass but I loved it. If you're bad at rhythm games you'll be bad at (or just purely not like) this. On the lower difficulties it's just mash 2 buttons in time with the screen/music to kill things but it's very fun. The higher difficulties will have you puling your hair out it's so damn hard, but luckily you can co-op it.
If you like Heavy metal, rock band/guitar hero or rhythm games, try this.

Really great game overall! I’m trying to complete it on the hardest difficulty, and it’s painfully hard. If you’re bad at rhythm game overall,Really great game overall! Double Kick Heroes is about rocking out through a zombie apocalypse, and being pursued by said undead across the broken highways of America's decomposing corpse. Not even metaphorically, either. Thankfully, other elements of Double Kick Heroes are more than just up to scratch. The core Adventure mode is a lot of fun, with enjoyable characters, well-written dialogue and fantastic sprite-work that recalls the likes of Day of the Tentacle in places.
