    Call of duty has always been boring for me because its slow and its not actually fun.
    Then ID software tienes everything upside down with Doom 2016 and now they've made It faster ,more gore and just better
    Im not giving It a 10 for the f*cking archvile.

    It's a good game that builds on Doom 2016. Nice graphics and smooth gameplay. For me, it's too complicated, contains unnecessary systems, and the gameplay is all about cooldowns for armor, health, etc... Also, the jumping puzzles are bad and don't belong in a fast-paced shooter game like this.

    Doom Eternal has come to be my favorite FPS in a long time. From it's beautiful visuals to it's flexible gunplay, Doom Eternal is a must-have. The story in this one is completely different than it's previous entry, tasking you to save the world (once again) from a demon invasion being run by the "Khan Mayker", who sent demons to invade earth to save their own planet. Of course being theDoom Eternal has come to be my favorite FPS in a long time. From it's beautiful visuals to it's flexible gunplay, Doom Eternal is a must-have. The story in this one is completely different than it's previous entry, tasking you to save the world (once again) from a demon invasion being run by the "Khan Mayker", who sent demons to invade earth to save their own planet. Of course being the Doomslayer makes it much easier, but it only gets harder from there. The learning curve here is a big toughie with all the amazing new abilities added to this game. You can now dash air dash, climb on rugged walls, and much more. Once you master all these new powers at your disposal, you'll be cleaning out areas of demons in no time! I really enjoyed playing through what might be the last entry to DOOM's reboot series, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a new FPS to play.… Expand

    This game was incredible. Every aspect of it. Gameplay, story, graphics, music, atmosphere. All of it was spot on from Bethesda. The weapons are very fun, the glory kills are awesome, and the final boss hits is the cherry on top. By far my favorite shooter game of all time.

    I'm not a competitive player. I like to sit down with a game to unwind after a long, busy, and stressful day at work. Doom Eternal is challenging, but more than anything else it's FUN. I catch myself smiling while I'm playing.

Вернее будет сказать что на фоне других модификаций, одни становятся бесполезны. Например, у дробовика есть модификация с гранатами и с автоматической стрельбой. И когда одна граната тратит один патрон,Крайне динамичная и брутальная игра. Враги постоянно наседают и пытаются вас убить, от чего приходиться скакать по всей арене. Арсенал оружия впечатляет, но половина модификаций бесполезна. Вернее будет сказать что на фоне других модификаций, одни становятся бесполезны. Например, у дробовика есть модификация с гранатами и с автоматической стрельбой. И когда одна граната тратит один патрон, как и каждый автоматический выстрел, проще просто никогда не включать автоматическую стрельбу. Дизайн врагов- пушка. Единственный кто мне не очень понравился, это титан (просто в doom 2016 его дизайн мне нравится больше). Сюжет интересен, а главное, что не навязчив и не отрывает от геймплея.     This is going to sound counter-intuitive, but there are too many weapons, power-ups, and special abilities in Doom Eternal. All the weapons, and weapon modes, and grenades, flame belcher, chainsaw, crucible sword, blood punch and when best to use them is annoyingly complex. I love the original Doom for the simplicity of blowing up things without thinking too hard about it.

    There's a lot of cut-rate RPG lore added here that expands upon the history and various factions in the world of Doom, and it's very unwelcome. It's some cheesy paint-by-numbers world-building that reminds me of Diablo's story, and it's unnecessary and just drags the gameplay in Doom. Again, I don't need to know why I'm blowing up demons. Why are they making this needlessly complicated.

    There's also some light puzzle-solving of the Uncharted/Tomb Raider variety added in that I have mixed feelings about. It seems out of place for the franchise.

    Bottom line:
    Doom 2016 was a fantastic reboot of the series and it made it seem it'd be hard if not impossible to top but Doom Eternal is the best sequel to a video game I can think of. It takes everything that worked with the original games and the reboot and enhances it. It does have some platforming sections which are pretty good ways to break up the action and it wasn't what I was expecting but it works well and creates a nice balance the pacing is fantastic and the level design even felt better than what was in the first one.

    If you liked the first one, you'll probably love this and if you have game pass it's on there, so give it a shot even if this isn't usually your type of game.    … Expand

    The port on next gen is top notch. Doom Eternal itself is simply fantastic and has love bursting at the seams. The movement is fluid and quickly becomes second nature. The campaign is endlessly charming, its level design pristine, and its plot compelling. Its peaks are sublime and plentiful, and the worst it has to offer is still perfectly competent.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't give out 10/10's often, but this takes it away. The story does not exist, because it is a doom game. The game is about shooting and killing demons over a rabbit, so you shouldn't expect a final fantasy / kingdom hearts level of story. The first level starts off with an introduction on the game and basic mechanics. The chainsaw is introduced this level, which is a crucial part of the game to get you out of situations and get ammo. They also encourage the use of many guns by nerfing the good ones and buffing the bad. The Unmaykr, a special weapon is unlocked from getting good with all the mechanics and completing the optional challenges. There is less ammo storage, but easier ammo to get excluding the BFG-9000 and the Unmaykr. Moving on past the optional content, and the "story" missions get longer to test your skill. The multiplayer is okay, and better after the rework. The DLC post launch was amazing, and shows your mastery of the game. The crucible was a fun weapon, but the sentinal hammer is better. Amazing bosses. and then new weapons and mechanics for all the levels but the last 5 are amazing and makes the challenge of the game rewarding. Overall, 10/10 and I highly recommend it for anyone in their teen years or older.… Expand

    I will now write what I think of this game because I have completed it.

    This is one of the most poorly designed games I've ever played. I went to YouTube to see how to solve some levels because the game didn't give any hints. It turned out that even when I watched how to go through a level on YouTube, the game has changed over time so that the YouTube video was not helping at all. I had to look for a newer video. In addition, I was constantly out of ammo and health, it is flashing on the center of my screen. There´s also different icons in the middle of the screen, which you can't really keep track of because something is going on all the time. Who puts these icons and texts in the middle of the screen?

    Glory kills positions you according to your enemy's position, not according to your player's location. This is a very big change compared to Doom 2016, because you are still in the same position when you leave from Glory Kill animation in Doom 2016. In this game, however, when you come out of the Glory Kill animation, you have no idea which direction you were heading to, and you have to start thinking about what you're doing now.

    All your opponents will attack you at once and at worst scenarios push you into a corner so that it is very difficult to get out. This is also a very big change compared to Doom 2016. In this game you have to be on the move all the time and look around, look for health and ammunition, because otherwise you will die.

    A few words about the story. The story is strange and isn't exciting at all. The game creator could have come up with a more exciting story.

    What is story behind green floating things in the air? Green floating weapons, green floating question marks, etc. Everything that floats is green. Mind blowing!

    When comparing Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, the Doom Eternal really does look more cartoony overall, especially with those Mario fireball obstacles. Doom 2016 was a realistic reboot while Doom Eternal feels like a modern-day adaptation of the 90s games.    … Expand

    Most tedious, most boring game of the year. Main character is a wimo, who can carry a couple of rounds and thats it. Instead of shooting, we are looking for ammo. Or jump on platforms. How could u screw doom up so badly? I dont belive all this favorable reviews. B must have paid for it.

    Gave it a second chance and its 10/10. I was wrong.

    You spend more time farming ammo than killing demons, and even that feels like a chore. Never expected a Doom game to be boring. I keep turning it off or just walking off without even pausing because the gameplay isnt engaging at all.

You press ALL THE BUTTONS to absolutely OBLITERATE ANYTHING that stands inI have played almost every FPS out there, but there is nothing else out there like this game. If cocaine was a video game, Doom Eternal would be it. Doom masterfully progressively teaches you the game’s mechanics and once you completely understand them, no other game can be more engaged with you than Doom Eternal. You press ALL THE BUTTONS to absolutely OBLITERATE ANYTHING that stands in your way. It demands your attention and makes you think unlike any other FPS out there. It’s the definitive power fantasy in my opinion. Constantly breathtaking with pristine and polished mechanics that goes far beyond the standards of most FPS games today.     The combat is super fast, unique and excellently designed. The why this game is designed the play-style is extremely different then other FPS games. Overall the game is a lot of fun.

    The only downside is that the combat become a little bit repetitive after the first half of the game, only the boss fights are different.

    мав дуже заниженні очікування щодо продовження DOOM 2016 але вони не оправдались - хоч гру й набили контентом більше нікуди, вставили яскраві анімації вбивств та збору припасів але все ж гру витягнули продумані механіки, не скучні боси та довол цікаві арени з головломками. один бал забираю за платформінг - той хто це придумав має в пеклі скакати по платформах 1000 років!

    Disappointed with this game after Doom (2016) - this game is notably worse in almost every way. Balance is way off, heavy focus on weak points destroys the flow, story is really awkward and uncompelling (not to mention incompatible with the first game), music is mediocre

    This game has some of the most interesting gunplay that I have experienced in any game. I found that every time that I picked up a weapon, I was excited to use it and get a feel for how it fires. Enemy design creates a strategy to every encounter. The story, while a little lore heavy, always was intriguing.     Fun shooter. Improves upon a lot of the previous doom game and adds more depth. The levels are a lot more varied and are much more enjoyable to explore. The improved movement is a joy.

    This is an awesome sequel to an already awesome shooter! The ray tracing effects on the Xbox SX version looks really nice and the action is non-stop excitement. Strongly recommended this!

I bought this from game pass about 8-10 months ago, and it’s damn near flawless, I could play this for hours, and if I was able to play ancient gods 1 and 2 without spending about 15€, I would, the only problem I have, is with the story, now I know Doom games are meant to be gameplay and fun value focused, but even DOOM 2016 still had pretty good storytelling, but this, I just felt confused, I just didn’t know what the hell was happening, all I knew is that I had to kill, and the way you can play this game, is just shoot the everloving **** out of everything that looks like it’ll hurt you, but you also have to chainsaw, and the strategy of this game, people call it **** but I call it big brained, because they literally made the game harder not just because: **** the customer!” But because they want you to use your brain which is a bit of a first for Doom, because before it was just: “SUPER SHOTGUN AND PUNCH PEOPLE, ****ING KILL THEM, THE WALLS ARE MELTING, MY LUNGS A-WHEEZIN’ MY HEARTS A-SEIZIN, I CAN HEAR SATAN SHOUTING NO, WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING?!” But now it’s: “chaingun, super shotgun, ballista, then super shotgun again on the people with a lot of health” I’m glad they did this.     It took quite a while to get into this game, mostly because the easiest difficulty is still ridiculous. I really do wish that game developers would understand that some people don't like to get frustrated by dying over and over. In some circumstances it does provide “Sentinel Armor” if you die in specific places, but THAT should have been your easy mode.

    You play as a mute (mostly) super duper soldier that steam rolls over anything in his path. For some reason he has to save earth (even though the place is trashed worse than New Orleans the day after Mardi Gras). There is a group of alien/robot priests trying to cramp his style so he's got to straighten them out first. More story than I expected, but it's still basically going from arena to arena surviving demon hordes.

    I kept putting this game down in the early levels, only to pick it up again weeks later. Then I'd come across two Mancubus' and feel like I was shooting harsh words for all the damage I was doing. Eventually, you get a few better weapons (Super Shotgun is pretty neat.) At that point it finally becomes a bit more bearable. The infinite frag grenade and ice grenade deserve a mention, as the upgrades really made those helpful tools.

    There are a few issues that I had with the guns that I realize are more mechanics than flaws. Like weapons sharing ammo. Usually one weapon outshines the other, which results in sticking to the three or four weapons that actually do any damage. Also, it really took away from the crazy super weapons toward the end of the game that they were such limited use with rare ammo. I wound up not using them at all because I was always saving them for what might be around the corner.

    As far as graphics and sound the game deserves a lot of the praise it gets. The sound track was great and the look and sounds of all the guns makes them feel powerful (even when they are not). There were many times that I had to stop and appreciate the landscape or a giant demon walking through the background. Those parts were outstanding.

    I get that the game is supposed to be like “combat chess” and that is a really neat idea- that every enemy has a weakness that can be exploited but the come at you so fast that you have to keep moving and think very quickly. It just seems like (on easy mode, at least) exploiting a weakness shouldn't still take an entire weapons ammo stock to kill the demon that can destroy you in three hits. There are a lot of enemy types that tip the scale from challenging to frustrating very quickly.

    Lastly, the platforming. It's not that it doesn't belong in this type of game (it doesn't) but that it is clearly designed to be frustrating and slow you down in an otherwise very fast paced game. It really seems like a failed experiment and you will be cursing whoever thought of it.

    Once you get the hang of the game it does make you feel very skilled and the levels do become pretty cool as they progress. It's a bit light on story, but the only thing really holding it back from being a great game was the frustrating difficulty.    … Expand

    This game is fantastic. The only problem is that every other first person shooter now is underwhelming because they're not doom eternal. The combat is the central focus and it is better than anything else in the genre. The platforming sections are also pretty good (and a big step up from doom 2016).     I hate spoilers, so I won't put any, but if you like ripping and tearing with a great story buy this game.
    Pros - great graphics, game play and story.
    Cons - some battle sequences are long resulting in lack of sleep.

    The campaign it comes with is good in its own right, however, i would not suggest you buy full price if your going to only do campaign, as i did. i personally got it in a really good deal with both skyrim and subnautica all for 50 bucks. but aside from that, very good game.

    I have enjoyed all the Doom games, this was no exception. After beating them I always liked using cheats to mess around a bit with. I dislike not being able to use them until after you neat a mish, and Only if you have gathered them previously .

    An absolutely spectacular game, and one of the early highlight games of 2020. Doom Eternal will make you think as you kill, pushing your mind to its limits. That’s not a bad thing. It’s the perfect trip to hell.

    Doom Eternal is an outstanding entry in the series marredby a few setbacks. There is a ton of content including one of the best shooter campaigns I have played this generation. The push and pull method of the combat is addictive to master and a blast to play. Everything looks and sounds fantastic and this is a game that makes me smile as a fan since the beginning. While the generation may be coming to an end, Doom Eternal is one of the games that will send it off with a bang.
