    The Ancient gods has the most engaging combat of any DOOM game.

    We all agree that the game is harder but so was Eternal when you first played it. I mean would you rather the game not challenge Slayers and all we got was just new environments to play through because to me I think that would have been disappointing. I think the game is generous to players with BFG ammo all around if you want to make an encounter easier. The game is not unfair -- everytime you die, you know what you did wrong or what you need to improve on. Whether it's movement, positioning, monster priority or pumping out more dps it's all there for you to analyze. Also, it's not a bad ide a to play the game in a lower difficulty on the first run-through to learn the mechanics and limit any frustration that you may have. Every Slayer can improve some part of their game and that is when any skilled base game feels the most satisfying.    … Expand

    This week saw the release of DOOM Eternal's continuation, DOOM Eternal, like a number of AAA games these days, comes in a couple of different editions. There’s the standard edition, which just comes with the base game, but there’s also the deluxe edition, which comes with the game and a number of bonuses. Question is: Which one should you buy? That probably depends on how big of a DOOM fanThis week saw the release of DOOM Eternal's continuation, DOOM Eternal, like a number of AAA games these days, comes in a couple of different editions. There’s the standard edition, which just comes with the base game, but there’s also the deluxe edition, which comes with the game and a number of bonuses. Question is: Which one should you buy? That probably depends on how big of a DOOM fan you are. The DOOM Eternal deluxe edition actually doesn’t come with a ton of bonuses, at least not when compared to some of the other deluxe editions we’ve seen in so many recent years recent years. The biggest draw of the deluxe edition is the Year One Pass, which will grant owners two campaign add-ons at some point in the future not today when they feel like it. The deluxe edition also comes with the Demonic Slayer Skin and the Classic Weapon Sound Pack, but those add-ons are merely perks and don’t justify the higher price of admission on the price price tag of the deluxe edition 33% more than the standard edition as a stand alone on their their own. Therefore, the deluxe edition is only really for people who already know that they’re going to want the content in the Year One Pass, which hasn’t been revealed yet, but you an taste the DOOM and just have to have it ready as soon as it's available. It’s also worth noting that there’s a DOOM Eternal collector’s edition that comes with all of the stuff from the deluxe edition plus a number of physical goodies like a wearable DOOM Slayer replica styled helmet, a steelbook case for the game, a lithograph, and a DOOM lore book. Those, however, will likely be hard If not outright impossible to find since Bethesda and ID Software only made extremely limited quantities. So, in summary most people will probably want to go for the standard edition over the deluxe edition, at least until those campaign expansions are detailed. The Year One Pass is available separately for the 33% difference so you won't miss out if you want to grab up the content at a later dat,, so if you buy the standard edition now and decide to get the pass later, you won’t be paying more money over what you would have spent on the deluxe edition.Just don't be let down when you can't enjoy Doom Eternal's newest content on your Xbox Series X at launch without the extras.… Expand

    Оно стало жесче к игроку. Сюжета стало больше, как и крупных планов Палача Рока.
    В общем: всем советую, это очень круто.

    Doom Eternal is the greatest game of the last 10 years. A nice add-on. More fast, difficult, , brutal. Love it!

    One of the best FPS ever created. High skill ceiling. High replayability. Next step in the genre. Checkout @UnderTheMayo on youtube, amongst others, for becoming a badass demon slayer. You will probably be yawning while playing other (generic/mainstream) shooters after playing this. Worth every penny including the DLCs. Stop reading and buy this now!

    The Ancient Gods: Part One on Xbox One changes nothing fundamental from DOOM Eternal, but instead dials up the demon slaying up to eleven. It’s worth battling through as there’s still fun to be had, but you’ll have to work a lot harder for it.

    Despite some new and enduring weak spots, Doom Eternal's frantic combat (mostly) continues to shine through. Once you get back into the swing of the action, the rock-paper-scissors design philosophy still results in a great time. I just wish Doom Eternal could get out of its own way.

    Extremely challenging in an artificial way, not perfectly polished and lacking the music of Mick Gordon: The Ancient Gods – Part One doesn’t fully continue the Doom Eternal glory. Still, it offers a pleasant torture for the most fanatical Doom-sadomasochists, situated in three beautiful levels in which you’ll be challenged more than the two main games combined. Nightmare insanity!
