    The presentation side of the game stands out in a whole host of areas and both the visuals and sound design are charming and very effective. Even though the game has a simple idea in play during your play through, I was very surprised by how creative this simple idea was. While the game is a little on the short side the content that is available to you is varied enough to make the few hours you have with the game to be very enjoyable. There’s a lot of uniqueness present in Donut County and this does make the game stand out from other similar games in the genre.
    Unfortunately the game is a little too short for my liking and more content would’ve been nice because I enjoyed it. Once completed you’re highly unlikely to return back to the game, which is a shame. Donut County is a game that I’ve heard quite a lot of good things about and one word frequently kept popping up. That word was unique and after playing through the game it became quite clear that this word described the game perfectly because there is without a doubt uniqueness dotted throughout this short game. At the start then you’re introduced to an interesting story that has quite a bit of humour thrown in as well, and thankfully I’m pleased to say that this humour connects well because it’s actually pretty funny. It’s a shame then that there isn’t more of a story and that’s the game biggest problem because there just isn’t enough of anything. This however is a good gripe because the content that is here is very good and it’s varied enough to justify the price tag I just wish there was more of it because the simple gameplay shines bright with creativity throughout your playthrough. Another thing that also shines bright throughout your playthrough is the presentation side of things and both the visuals and sound design were without a doubt one of my favourite things about the game. At the end of the day then because Donut County gets so much right it definitely gets a big recommendation from me and if you’re looking for something different to play then you owe yourself to get this game.    … Expand

    It's an ok game. Ideally, you should play this game on mobile and on the go, because I think I would've enjoyed the game more, as a "distraction" and "time waster". There are some interesting level designs, especially the latter half, but overall the game just feels too "elementary and basic" for me to enjoy fully.. As a mobile game it's decent, as an base game... it's just ok.

    Donut County is a cool little game that will entertain you for a short few hours. Pretty relaxing with some light puzzles, simple mechanics and a couple missable achievements that extend the game slightly, if you choose to go for them. The writing and story didn't really do it for me but that's just up to personal taste.     The little brother of Katamari Damacy. An adorable video game with great art direction, addicting music, funny jokes and perfect length. I even collected all achievements to get 100%.

    But the real problem with the game itself The idea is good but the game isn't the story is boring even for kids And the levels are very short and SO MUCH EASY and why there's a log boring conversation after every level? And why the levels shorter than the conversation? you can beat the    First of all I've played it on Xbox series x and it looks amazing.

    I installed it as part of Microsoft subscription and found it is a little gem. I enjoyed it, my 7 years old enjoyed it as well. We finished the game in one evening and it was fun, refreshing and unique.

    Excesivamente corto y simple, más sus personajes tienen tal carisma que merece la pena disfrutarlo. Sobre todo el mapache BK, antagonista a ratos y héroe en otros y que es odioso y adorable a partes iguales. Los diálogos para encariñarnos con todos sus personajes son muy graciosos, haciendo numerosas bromas con ese estilo de juego basado en crear hoyos en el suelo y destruir el escenarioExcesivamente corto y simple, más sus personajes tienen tal carisma que merece la pena disfrutarlo. Sobre todo el mapache BK, antagonista a ratos y héroe en otros y que es odioso y adorable a partes iguales. Los diálogos para encariñarnos con todos sus personajes son muy graciosos, haciendo numerosas bromas con ese estilo de juego basado en crear hoyos en el suelo y destruir el escenario diferenciado de cada pantalla. Sin tener mucho que hacer, es fácil conseguir todos sus puntos de logro o el platino, dependiendo de la plataforma.

    Puzzles are fun, storyline can be skipped- seems the pretentious twee storyline took precedence over the gameplay and so the whole thing can be finished in 2-3 hrs (depending on how much you skip through the story). A fun but brief distraction.

It's described as a physics-based puzzle game, but in reality, you don't really have to use your brain all that much, the game practically plays itself.     Let me get this clear: this game is not funny, the idea is not new (same concept -but done better- has been used in many mobile game for many years now), the art style is not appealing, the “funny conversations” are boring and annoying.
    So overrated by the “gaming press”.

It is based on the popular genre of "eating hole" which was very popular 1-2 years ago. Nevertheless, the Donut County is a little gem, even played on Xbox or any other platform. The characters are simple and hilarious, the story is very funny and refreshing.     Overall - I found it on accident in Xbox GamePass and felt in love on the first sight.

    Donut County was an absolute delight to play on Game Pass U. It's strangely satisfying to make everything fall through a dark hole. It's only the game was too short.

    Way too much talking for me. Got bored around 2/3 of the way through. The game’s mechanics and puzzle elements are good but sorry to say that I lost interest.

    What a game! Such a relaxing game with a nice story. Its nice to play when you're laying in bed just before going to sleep. Its hard enough to keep attention but easy enough so you wont stress. The only problem i had; it was around 1.5h of gameplay. I really want a part 2! (Played it on xbox with gsmepass

    Donut County is a pretty simple puzzle game that has a lot of charming and fun puzzles, but won’t strain your brain to complete. While I had a great time with the under two hour story, I feel like there are a lot more places this game could have gone before it felt repetitive and tired. I find myself wanting more levels and characters to swallow. With a great visuals and sound, it’s pretty impressive that this was made by one person, I just wish he made more.

    To go for the lazy metaphor, Donut County is like a delicious pastry. It’s baked with the kind of care you’d only get from a homemade dessert. Maybe they could have been a little more liberal with the jelly filling, but it’s a fantastic treat regardless. Modest yet satisfying, it’s the perfect go-to if you’re craving something sweet.
