Now you must wonder throughout this ethereal plane of existence. You must find your hope for the future. you must discover your love and allow it to light your darkness. its time to rediscover your reason for being, so you may comeDistraint 2 distraint 2 is a side-scrolling phycological horror game. This game is a direct continuation of the first game which ended in a rather tense moment. Now you must wonder throughout this ethereal plane of existence. You must find your hope for the future. you must discover your love and allow it to light your darkness. its time to rediscover your reason for being, so you may come to peace with yourself. explore through the dimensions, interact with the peculiar characters that reside there. collect objects, solve puzzles, and hide when you can. things are not near as hopeless as your character price perceived them to be. The path to forgiveness is not easily traveled poor price is learning as he travels through this unsettling world, unsure of whether he is dead or alive. There is no autosave mode so remember to hit those little orbs to save your progress. There is no vocal dialogue in this game so be prepared to pay attention to the instances and conversations around you. Remember things are not a hopeless as price seems to think, after all, we are all our own worst critics in the end.… Expand

    Distraint might be too simple to a fault at times, but it’s clear that love and attention has been made to make an impactful game where players are positioned to think and relate to its characters rather than soullessly using them as mere portals for spooks and scares. The visuals and soundtrack do a magnificent job of evoking themes and the general ambience is dense and strange, which helps make Distraint 2 stand out from its contemporaries. An impressive effort and a wonderful little indie slice of psycho-horror.

    It’s not going to be a game that is for everyone and the style and pacing might put some off, but if you like a narrative or an adventure that delivers an intelligent dose of darkness then a purchase of DISTRAINT 2 might be a very good choice to make.
