The story has not grabbed me yet. I was anticipating some new weapons but it appears that all the vendors have basically the same old weapons. I stopped playing after 30 minutes and re-booted up Borderlands 3. Shadowkeep just seems like more of the same old thing. Hopefully, after other content such as the Raid is released, I will feel different,

Destiny 2 is still easily one of the best shooters on Xbox One. Taken as a whole, its eclectic blend of strikes, night-devouring raids, and exhilarating PvP action outguns most of the competition with ease. As for Shadowkeep, despite some welcome additions, its reheated campaign reeks of a rush job that needed a bit more cooking time. [Issue#184, p.88]

Shadowkeep impressed me much less than Forsaken. I hoped that after parting ways with Activision Blizzard Bungie will be more ambitious than to mostly recycle the content we already know. [12/2019, p.76]

The hive are a bit spikier and the buildings are covered in Fallen graffiti, and it has to be said that the Moon is more decrepit and crumbling and new areas have been added, but when it comes down to it things are not so much new as buffed up and rolled in a bit of glitter.
