There's nothing daring or forced you to approach the game differently. The new subclass is okay. It's kinda fun and maybe functions better in high end gameplay, but I don't see it yet. As cool as gadget abilities are the game is about movement. Still nothing touches top tree dawnblade for movement. It's funny, when acquiring Stasis and you had it briefly for missions, you retain top tree dawn's double dodge. Now we're talking. That being said Crucible will be a mess. If you run into a six pack in Iron Banner all spamming abilities it may be unplayable. The new pulse rifle will probably be meta....
I was fine with the removal of all the guns as long as you didn't just replace them with the same guns having new names. That looks to be what has happened. Unless they're rolling out updates like crazy and there's a new planet on the way, they've got a problem. They've even removed some of the cheeses to do of the mind-numbingly boring crap like "get 4000000 kills with this weapon".
At the end of the day, one planet, one strike, one subclass for $100.
Finally, the Cosmodrome is f*cking insulting. You couldn't even change up the strike? Probably the end for me. I'll play it until I just can't do one more "grind" mission.

While I have beaten the main campaign in Beyond Light (as a Titan), I have not done all the side quests, and the raid has not yet been released, so take that into consideration. To put it simply, the main bulk of the content added in Beyond Light is genuinely enjoyable, but there is no good reason why Bungie decided to cut out literally half the game on this expansions release. I just can not make sense of that. Either way, the expansion, and Destiny 2 in general, is worth a try if you have not played it. If you have Xbox Game Pass, Destiny 2 and its current expansions are all free, so you might as well dip your toe in the pool if you are subscribed to the Game Pass service. Expand

There are genuine elements of greatness in Beyond Light, including an intriguing subplot that should have been the main campaign and a great raid, but it’s not enough to replace everything we’ve lost. Destiny 2: Beyond Light is another enjoyable Destiny adventure thanks to the lore and gameplay, but it does little to move Destiny 2 beyond the status quo.

Beyond Light is a very good content expansion that offers enough hours of gameplay and news to make it worthwhile for all players in the series. The doubt is in itself, from now on, it will be just as recommended for players who try to enter this experience for the first time.

While Destiny: Beyond Light on Xbox does axe more content than it adds, it is still worth playing through. The new world is an interesting place, and with a lot of post story content coming from Variks, the scope to have fun is large. A new Raid makes me happy indeed, and with new exotic quests and Hunts to take part in the future does appear to be bright.
