After the Last War, civilization is on the brink of disappearing. However, and thanks to technology, the world is still running on autopilot... for now.

Computers are keeping all critical systems running and whoever controls these computers will rule the entire world. Factories, transportation grids, energy plants: every single critical system in the world is ruled by a computer connected to the Etherweb. What is left of the old governments and megacorporations are fighting to control these systems and take over the world.

Deployment is an intense competitive top-down shooter game. Infosoldiers, made of pure information, fight in an endless war between governments and megacorporations to rule over the digital systems that control the world. Deploy your troops from up to five different classes!

Each battle plays out differently and I found each battle to be interesting and exciting which in the end did keep me coming back for more. The fast pace of the game suited me right down to the ground because I’m not a fan of methodical and slow-paced battles.
Technichally the game held up really well throughout my time with the game and I didn’t bump into any problems at all during my playthrough. I found the presentation side of the game to be lacking in several areas and not much stood out when it came to both the visuals and sound design. There isn’t much in terms of a tutorial and at the start I was a little frustrated because I didn’t fully know what I had to do. The gameplay is fun I would still recommend that you play this game in short bursts because it does get repetetive quite quickly. Overall Deployment offers you a simple and straight to the point experience and even though it doesn’t deviate from this style very often it does provide you with some fun and enjoyable moments. I would however still recommend that you play the game in short bursts though because even though you can have fun with the game it does still get repetetive quite quickly. Thankfully thought it isn’t repetetive in all areas and I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by how much variety each of the classes had. You can do different moves in each class and this did make each battle interesting and exciting but be warned it will take you a bit to get used to. A better tutorial would’ve sorted this little problem but unfortunately the tutorial that is available to you is a little on the basic side. Thankfully on the technichal side of things there are no issues and everything runs smoothly, which is a bonus. At the end of the day then even though Deployment doesn’t have a great deal of depth to it and it has a few shortcomings here and there it still gets more things right than it gets wrong and it’s a game that is fun to pass a bit of time every now and then.
