Demolish and Build is enjoyable once you get a ways into it, but the early going can get pretty repetitive once you've gutted your second saloon and third gas station. Overall, though, it has a bit of a charm to it as you try to improve your company's rank and expand your business.

Demolish and Build has its heart in the right place but could also use another passthrough so that its expectations and instructions are clear and concise. A game that gives you reign to blow a bulldozer into the side of a building should be fun but the tedium, wishy-washy controls, and poor guidance turn the game into a test of patience.

It’ll probably appeal to sim fans who love the working grind and aren’t bothered by dodgy visuals, terrible sound effects and a strangely empty world. But that said, you can drive a bulldozer straight through a casino while rocking out. And honestly, do you need next-gen visuals for that?

Demolish and Build may have its issues, but the game can be enjoyed on many different levels. Fun and creativity can be found in this title, and it’s good to see some more simulators of this calibre to come to Xbox.

Jobs can range from tearing down an old abandoned house to prepping a site for destruction by another company all in which allow you the freedom to complete the job the way you want. Want to take a sludge hammer to the wall, go for it. Want to drive a bulldozer through the building and make a bigger mess, its all your choice. As you work to increase your company’s net worth the jobs can become repetitive as you will be completing the same jobs multiple times to earn cash so you can buy the next construction trucks and supplies to complete later on jobs that you went able to complete before. If you are a fan of constructions sims then you will feel at home in this open world game using multiple tools and machines to complete various jobs around the small town. This is a very relaxing game, while maybe not graphicly will still give you hours of fun as you discover new things such as a old space ship that you get to destroy in the desert. Full Review »
