Darksiders Genesis is an Isometric Hack-and-Slash Twin-Stick Action Adventure. Taking place Before the Events of the other titles Genesis will take you to Hell and back, literally and metaphorically. The story tells the tale of the Seven Seals, and how we got to the events of the first Darksiders. Taking place Before the Events of the other titles Genesis will take you to Hell and back, literally and metaphorically. The story tells the tale of the Seven Seals, and how we got to the events of the first Darksiders. Introducing the Horseman Strife (My favorite of the series) and bringing back the Horseman War in frenetic single-player action allowing the near seamless transition between the two. Summon stones scattered throughout the stages allow you to summon a friend that is also playing to take control of one of the Horsemen in intense Co-Op play. As you progress and explore you'll obtain powerful upgrades and items that are used to both dispatch enemies, and solve puzzles. Blending an isometric twin-stick with the hectic action of the former hack-and-slash titles could not have been an easy task, but the end result is incredible! Fast paced combat with the freedom to explore creates a dual sided experience that shifts semlessly from one to the other. The bosses as always are bigger than life and will crush you fast if you aren't careful! If you lose one Horseman you are instantly reverted to the other, and after a short wait, the other will return with a bit of their life back, but lose both before then and it's lights out, back to the last checkpoint. Easily one of my favorite entries to the aeries Darksiders Genesis is a wonderous treat to behold. Expand

Juego entretenido, pero creo que se tuvo que haber seguido con los juegos en primera persona, porque el 2.5D no es muy útil por lo menos para este juego que es el ultimo de la franquicia

Giving 0 out of 10 is less than unfair. It's true, the game is much different than (for example) Darksiders 3. Many would expect as challenging and Souls-like experience after DS3. Puzzles are not that great, but it's still Darksiders and it is great game. It's different, but it's not that hard to find similarities. It plays well, very smooth, visuals are better than any DS game everGiving 0 out of 10 is less than unfair. It's true, the game is much different than (for example) Darksiders 3. It's different, but it's not that hard to find similarities. It plays well, very smooth, visuals are better than any DS game ever made. It's very cheap for the given content, and let's not forget about co-op. It's great thing. It's one of my favourites games and i still have 3 chapters to finish from main story, and many more arenas (and I do enjoy them a lot). Expand

Excellent take on isometric hack'n'slash. Some levels tend to drag on, but the traversal and puzzles are satisfying and a pleasant departure from games like Diablo and PoE. Music and sound are good. Boss fights are a blast. Highly recommend playing the game co-op.

Buena compra. Muy recomendado.

Darksiders Genesis is heavily flawed. If you're thinking it's simply Diablo with a Darksiders skin you're going to be disappointed. Darksiders Genesis is a cheap Diablo knockoff that doesn't provide the same spectacle that made the previous 3 games the iconic status that they are. Despite all of that though, I LOVE DARKSIDERS GENESIS. Yes I'll tolerate the worst map ever, a camera and movement system that makes me want to hunt down the developers and deal with all the problems of level design and boss development, because I enjoyed playing the hell out of it. A game doesn't have to be perfect to be fun and Darksiders Genesis proves that to be true.

Darksiders Genesis shows us another side of the Darksiders franchise. And even if that side isn’t perfect, it’s definitely good early-2020 fun.

The Darksiders universe has always been an intriguing one, filled with larger-than-life characters, a deep, if not slightly confusing storyline and a glorious aesthetic that seems to come straight off of a 70’s prog-metal album cover. Genesis may position itself as merely a side story; just a small alternative look at one part of this universe. But it is so much more than that. It offers a more personal story and one that may seem insignificant at first, but has wider implications to the story as a whole. Tied to that is gameplay that is both fun and chaotic in equal measure and offers replay value to those who want to go back again and again.
