The Dark Souls plot is as mysterious in its conclusion as it was in its beginning. Of course there are a myriad of scattered clues, references and story points scattered throughout the Ringed City. And I’m sure there’s a myriad more I’m yet to discover.

With The Ringed City, From Software has brought us a great adventure with another remarkable level of difficulty. Although it is more of the same, this does not have to be a bad thing as it greatly improves on what we've seen in Ashes of Ariandel.

Each location is a memorable one and the progress made past each enemy, boss and area will spur you on to keep going to the end. Those who make it to the end will want to piece together all the lore that has unfolded, as well as revel in the awe-inspiring bosses, but first and foremost you will be happy that Dark Souls III and the Souls series remains untarnished as it comes to an epic close.

Nevertheless, The Ringed City is one of the single best slices of Dark Souls that FromSoftware has ever presented, and for every element that could have stood to be left well-alone, there is a series highlight to be found. The Ringed City is simultaneously Dark Souls at its best and its most tired. The series may or may not be coming to an end, but this final piece of content, due just as much to its faults as its successes, feels conclusive regardless of what happens to the franchise in the immediate future. It is fitting, then, that the impending hiatus feels earned.

The Ringed City is a totally competent but uninspiring end to the brilliant Souls series, embracing many of its best and several of its worst traits. It’s beautifully macabre and frustratingly tedious, yet isn’t close to being bad enough to take the shine off a wonderful game, offering subtle nods to the series’ past and its probably nonexistent future. The sun finally sets but it will always be praised.

You're going to feel depressed, not just because you are constantly dying, but because its the end of the world. The end of an era.

The first minutes of the expansion are really good, I enjoyed it a lot. I was all time like WTF! Does monster are so **** cool! Oh.. wait..The first minutes of the expansion are really good, I enjoyed it a lot. I was all time like WTF! Does monster are so **** cool! Oh.. wait.. They're gonna kill me! And then when I kill them another monster spawned. It was insane and I'm having great times with this expansion. This is one of the best DLC I've played ever by far. The bosses are nice and the last one made me cry, just a bit he he. So I recommend to everyone who has played the saga, guys, this is the best end for the game and I'm sure that you're going to love it. Full Review »

A massive improvement to what we had in the first dlc. This is a solid and great send off for the entire dark souls series!!

    I can't say
A massive improvement to what we had in the first dlc. This is a solid and great send off for the entire dark souls series!!

I can't say that it's my most favorite expansion for DS but it's one of my top favorites though.
    Pros:
+Environment/Scenery (Way better than the last one)
+New Weapons/Spells/Armor etc... (A lot of these I actually like and did use in the DLC)
+Bosses (Fromsoftware has done it again except for ONE of them)
    +Lore/Conclusion (Solid sendoff)
+Enemies (Bunch of variety here and all of them are unique)

    Cons
-Short (The Ringed City looked pretty big at first glance, wished you can see/play more of it in full glory)
-----> Placement of Bosses (not expecting them to be THAT close to each other)
+/- I still am not too fond of the linear part about DS3 but its more of a personal opinion

    Overall great DLC!!!
Thank you Fromsoftware for DS and giving us a place to praise the sun :D
Good luck in your future and to those who haven't gotten the DLC, this is a must buy for sure!
