    Doesn’t work on my Xbox one and I can’t get a refund for it, absolutely disgusting how this company acts. Makes you look at rdr2 and wonder how tf a game like this exists.

    Play on an Xbox One X or higher, DO NOT try to run such a demanding game on a p.o.s. base model. The game is amazing! A few glitches here or there, but if you remember The Witcher 3 when it came out, that game wasn’t perfect either. The hate for this game comes from idiots that try to run it on base model consoles.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. No, don’t buy this game yet. I finally gave in and downloaded this game for my XBOX One X. The graphics weren’t the trash they are in the standard XBOX One, they’re not too bad. Everything seems a bit washed out. I’ll have to mess with the settings. I played it all the way up to the start of the hotel section of the Dex mission to get the “relic” chip. Here’s my impression. The controls are utter garbage. I’m driving, moving, and especially firearms handling. Seriously bad. I suppose I could turn down the sensitivity but I’m not sure. The driving is just garbage. Plain and simple. The story seems awesome, the setting, and the characters but all the damn bugs and glitches almost ruin it all. My car floating. Getting randomly caught on something and not being able to move. One spot, while driving, everything froze. Just froze. I thought it locked up, but then it started moving again. Did that twice. This game was released way too soon for consoles. I get it, it’s meant to run on the next gen Series X and PS5, but the Pro and one x should have the horsepower to run this game. It’s been in development long enough that it should run. As for standard Xbox and PS4. My brother has it in Xbox and says it’s pretty much unplayable. This release is a mess. My score is based on actually playing the first 4 hours.… Expand

    Extremely disappointed with this game. I waited a long time, and they had years, years of development. There are no excuses! In addition to blurred graphics, glitches in animations, FPS drops, the game came with Portuguese dubbing without any audio! They lacked honesty and the truth, I feel like I was robbed. The first impression is what remains, and they have failed.

    It absolutely looks terrible on Xbox One. GTA 5 on my 360 has better graphics and frame rate than this. Bugs galore, freezes, and multiple crashes.

    Game looks fantastic and runs stably on Xbox One X. I'm over halfway through with the story and haven't experienced any of the supposed crashes that some less than reliable sources claim exist. I have had the game stutter once in my 32 hours of playtime, while driving very fast and the game had to be constantly loading new areas ahead of me.     As someone who never really followed the hype of this game, but was interested enough to pick it up, I was pleasantly surprised. It's easy to get lost in all the bad publicity this game has generated since its launch. Yes, it has its share of problems, but there hasn't been enough to spoil the gameplay for me. Most of the bugs are easily ignored and have minimal impact on the player's experience. I've spent 40 hours in the game so far and have yet to encounter an actual game breaking glitch.
    At its core it's what you would expect from a high anticipated title. The story line is fantastic, the voice work is great, the game itself visually is incredible, and there are a ton of customizations for combat that keep things interesting. This is the kind of game that's perfect for the holiday season and COVID isolation. You can sink hours into this game and immerse yourself in its creative universe.
    For me, I enjoyed tackling side quests and random jobs to boost up my experience points, find new weapons, and simply explore. There's an immense satisfaction to finding some hidden weapons cache far off the beaten path or sniping a gang member with explosive tipped rounds and watching their limbs pop off like a champagne cork. If you're fortunate enough to own a next gen console and you enjoy games with a Fallout-like gameplay style, then this is definitely worth picking up.    … Expand

    True next gen foundation, any haters crying about bad performance and bugs on xone ... shouldnt have played 2021 game on 2014 console. Mistake on CDPR that they shipped it on these old consoles in the first place but the game itself in its complexity is just stunning. 10/10

    Amazing game! Yes there are technical problems but I'm encountering minimal. I feel so immersed every time I play, the world is dense and vibrant. The lighting is top tier and this game will only improve over time with patches. As core gameplay and experience goes this is one of my favourite games ever!

Yes on the older consoles it's got issues and probably should never have been released on this platform but I for one am glad it has been so I got chance to play it.     The game has really good potential to be great, but it should not have been released in this state. I have played about 10-15 hours so far on the Series X and I am enjoying the game but there are so many bugs, huge frame drops, freezes and crashes that at times I just thought i cant be bothered playing more and move on to something else and come back later.

If you like romance stories, CDPR really over sold those. The combat is often fun for a first-person shooter but nothing that stands out from what else everyone is already playing. Too much hype and marketing around this game and it's so overrated. A game with an unpleasant atmosphere, does not catch on like the latest Deus Ex, even the Human revolution is a cut above this misunderstanding. Still, one of the best (sandbox) games remains 20 years old Vice City.… Expand

I haven't seen the other ending beside the one I chose *(aldecaldos)* but after it was over I got the sad feeling in my gut like after finishing a good book which is why ill put it on my favorite RPG lists with all of the Witcher 3 and many others.… Expand

There are advertisements for Times Square and buses in London, but not for optimization.

    Jestem zażenowany ilością bugow tudzież kolizji których w tej grze po prostu nie ma. Gra powinna wyjść najwcześniej za rok. Poziom grafiki jest rodem z GTA4 na ps3 ... jedynie fabuła jest dobra ale bugi utrudniają przechodzenie. To już na ps4 pro Odyssey wyglądał i chodził znacznie lepiej do tego wszystkie textury słabej jakości i spartolone HDR, poleca każdemu wyłączyć. Czuje się oszukanyJestem zażenowany ilością bugow tudzież kolizji których w tej grze po prostu nie ma. Gra powinna wyjść najwcześniej za rok. In Night City we encounter the distopic thoughts of such books, as "Brave New World", "The Clockwork Orange", and maybe a bit of "Fahrenheit 451". This game deserves a 10, because it really changed my perception of life and human existence. This is the most distopic representation of our future, that will remain in our history for a long time. That's what games must do.
    I almost finished the game, and at this point, i can certainly say that in 4-5 years this game will be a masterpiece, just like ac unity or mafia 2. The game is getting patched, and i really apreciate the work of developpers.    … Expand

    I play on Xbox one X , series X yes it has some glitch and bugs but at least no crash with the update 1.05 and iam really enjoyed i hope soon Cd project will fix everything ,and soon we want DLC and Multiplayer in future i put 10 because its my best RPG for Cd project i love it keep going guys .

They hid the footage from us, just to get more money and pre orders!!! The Game honestly is great, but its hard to recommend the Xbox One Version of it, which makes the game hard to enjoy because    11/10 Marketing

    I got cyberpunk 2077 for Christmas and after 20 hours of gameplay I can truly say that this game is breathtaking, I know at launch this game had a lot of bugs and it was worrying me because I thought it would ruin my experience but in my entire 20 hours I’ve played so far I haven’t encountered a single glitch or bug in the game, I play it in a Xbox series x and I’m pretty sure it runs atI got cyberpunk 2077 for Christmas and after 20 hours of gameplay I can truly say that this game is breathtaking, I know at launch this game had a lot of bugs and it was worrying me because I thought it would ruin my experience but in my entire 20 hours I’ve played so far I haven’t encountered a single glitch or bug in the game, I play it in a Xbox series x and I’m pretty sure it runs at 120fps because it runs soooo smooth but I don’t know how it is for the last gen but everything has been amazing so far, I suggest if you stopped playing because of the glitches or bugs try it again cause it is truly breathtaking… Expand

    Only gets a 1 because the game is beautiful. Other then that cdpr should have their butts sued away for the amount of marketing lies and empty promises they used to sell the game. The game is linear cars drive on rails no ai really cops spawn in front of you. You can’t even explore outside of main stuff because theirs nothing to see or find. What a joke.     Unplayable. The controls feel outdated and floats a lot. Gun play is so bad you have better luck playing blind. Side questing is broken and no method of seeing quest level and they force you to take every side quest as they are automatically added.

    Bought the game off of Xboxlive (Dec 9th ~ 9 PM PST) for my original Xbox One. Downloaded overnight. Started play Dec 10th, around 7:30 AM PST. Played for about 15-20 minutes. Put in request for refund from MS at 9 AM PST. Was my first time EVER requesting a refund for any game and I'm in my 50s and have been playing games since Pong. Heard back from MS on Dec 11 AM, declining myBought the game off of Xboxlive (Dec 9th ~ 9 PM PST) for my original Xbox One. Downloaded overnight. Started play Dec 10th, around 7:30 AM PST.     CDPR, could you have at least played the intro in a higher resolution or had the character generation set up done in a higher resolution??? It's not like you had to be concerned with the countless NPCs and flashing lights you touted were going to be in the game during this portion of play through. During the intro i was checking the back of my monitor and system to see if my HDMI cable was lose. I just couldn't believe the horrendous video quality for a game that came out at the end of 2020. The first 15 minutes of the game I was in my video settings turning off and on every single video option to see what would help and nothing did. Walking around and not seeing any real details was shocking. After seeing a dozen NPCs just materialize off to the side, and literally in front of me I called it quits. I didn't even make it to the part to start my first mission if that's how it starts. I new immediately this game was never meant for the old gen consoles, and just didn't want to ruin the experience for me when I do pick up a next gen. I may revisit the game then but who knows, with all of the playthroughs out there on high end PCs, CP2077 may fall into the "I'll just watch other people play it", like I did for Fallout 76, Anthem and BF5.    … Expand

    Though, as much as I hate what they did to this game by launching it in its current state (fully-patched it would have been a masterpiece), If I was given a fair choice whether to play this alpha-like build *now* or wait half a year for a 'proper' version... I would definitely be fine with playing it as-is.

    I am on Xbox One X upgraded with SSD, and the game is *very playable*. Or should I say - still buggy as hell, but I still want to play it each and every day (despite those glitches). Maybe I am lucky, but none of the bugs ruined the experience for me this far (about 75% completion of main campaign).

    Regarding the visuals: Occasional framerate drops occur mostly when driving... otherwise (walking around, shooting stuff) it is perfectly fine. Of course - with the caveat it looks sub-par, compared to other X1X games, not to mention PC version. Sub-par, but not ugly (with motion blur and film grain off).
    As far as glitches go... there are not as many as the fuss all over seems to suggest (I guess it is 'cool' to hate Cyberpunk 2077 these days). Not to say there are little of them... but to say it is completely unplayable on X1X would be hugely exaggerated.
    To be clear, even after patch 1.05 I still experience crashes (back to home screen) every 2-4 hours (before the patch they were much more frequent)... though the game is pretty generous with autosave, so it is not breaking the experience completely. I also had to reload save about 3-4 times in my whole gameplay, just to get an annoying HUD element go away. And for one quest, I had to go back a savepoint as it was stubborn not to count a checkpoint.
    Other than that, there are plenty of funny GFX glitches and, at times, stupid enemy AI, but nothing game-breaking.

    In fact... I'd say this game is not only playable, but 'decent' as-is (1.05).

    At the same time, like others, I am also disappointed with CD Projekt Red... Though, funnily enough, it is NOT because they created a crappy game. Quite the opposite, actually. At some moments during the game you feel they have made a masterpiece, with beautiful and engaging world. Then, in a truly masochistic way, they destroyed their own creation, by getting it so poor performance and littering it with bugs.
    It is this emotional roller-coaster that makes me angry with them as there is so much wasted potential in there...
    This could easily have been the best game of the year 2020. Does it stand a fighting chance in 2021, with all the beautiful mess that happened on premiere... doubtful (even fully patched and fueled with DLC, it is unlikely to get back to the top). That said - it is a great game. A game I would have actually bought a new gaming rig for, if I was informed in advance how my console experience is going to look...
    At the same time, Xbox One X performance is *not* game-breaking at this time, and while everyone needs to decide on their own whether to wait for a heavy discount and full patch set... I would recommend to still give this game a chance and try to immerse into CP 2077 world. When it works - it is a marvel.
    So, no, I am not pursuing a refund - rather thinking which choices would I be making on my 2nd play-through (once it is properly served and patched).    … Expand

The story remains incredible, the gunplay is largely serviceable, and I experienced ~3 crashes in about 25 hours on Xbox One. Based on the reviews and the refund offers that I saw initially, I expected this game to literally sit inert in the disk drive and simply fail to do literally anything at all. Perhaps burst into flames. Happily, that is not the case. It does generally play. It is clear immediately that the Xbox One is pushed far beyond its technical capacity where graphics are concerned. The texture pop-in starts in the character creator and never slows down. It is sometimes distracting, and sometimes not.

    Switching to Xbox Series X was an entirely different experience. While I had largely enjoyed the experience on Xbox One despite the limitations, the game feels entirely different on a more capable machine. Details that are clear on Series X were indecipherable on X1. For example, in playing on Series X, it's clear that Viktor, a ripper doc you meet early in the game, was a former boxer, as you can see from his various trophies relating to boxing that adorn his desk and the fact that he is watching a boxing match on his monitor when you first interact with him. I missed that entirely on the X1, because the graphical limitations are so severe that you cannot see either the trophies or what is on his monitor. That type of difference in experience- from being able to read the graffiti in the elevators to seeing the stickers on surfaces- creates a different experience of the world as a whole. You don't truly ever see Night City on X1.

    All that said, the blowback that CDPR has received from this seems overstated to me. Yes, they were victims of the hype they created in their development cycle that seemed to be set on a geological time scale. But had this game come out in 2016, its critical reception would have been largely favorable. It remains a combination of The Witcher, Far Cry, and Mass Effect, and even in poor resolution, it was awfully fun to play. Having experienced the game on next gen, there's no earthly way I could justify trying to obtain a refund for the game. There are elements here missing- the bizarre lack of driving AI and the equally bizarre police system are obvious deficiencies- but the game is still one of the most creative, beautifully told stories and modes of storytelling I've ever experienced. Much of what made the Witcher 3 so fantastic was how excellently it undermined your expectations of how the story would unfold, and how willing it was to use its mission system to have you experience what it wanted Geralt to experience. That is not only replicated, but improved upon in stunningly effective ways.

    I can't speak to anyone's budget, so I won't make any recommendations about how or when to buy this game, but I'm absolutely confident in advising that if you are a console owner, you SHOULD play this game. What's been lost in the critical response and the company's response is that this is an absolute masterpiece in storytelling. It sets a new standard in creative storytelling and character exploration. Play it on next-gen if you can, certainly, but play it one way or another.    … Expand

    On xBox One X it is impossible to play this game. Textures are tragic, FPS is so low you can see frames. NPC, levitating cars, etc. So many glitches it is impossible to continue playing. Game returned to this after few hours of playing. No fun at all.

The city feels empty, NPCs are dumb as **** If you stop your vehicle on the road, AI will just stop instead of driving around. Dunno how could they release a game in a state like this.

    What an absolute joke. I have seen better looking, better playing, more developed games on the xbox 360. Cdpr should be ashamed of themselves.
    From false marketing to false promises, it's all here. I played for a 6 hours before I just couldn't take it anymore. In those 6 hours I had a total of TWO combat encounters. The rest was on the rails scripted dialog. This is not an open    Series X

Even without encountering bugs or glitches the game is just bad at every single gameplay mechanic in place. I literally was nodding off, that is how boring this game is. I am selling this on ebay because I don't want this sorry excuse anywhere near me or my xbox. Oh and the graphics are like someone smeared vaseline all over your screen, you cannot see any detail unless it is right in front of your face.     Playing on Series X so maybe not facing alot of the issues everyone else has but I absolutely love the game. On my second play through already. Not on Red Dead 2 levels in my opinion but it has been worth the hype.

    Баги, баги, оптимизации нет. Играл на пк 1060 и пс4, думаю на икс боксе не лучше.

    It’s because of this fun gameplay and this great story that it’s such a shame Cyberpunk 2077 performs like it’s still in alpha.

    Overall, I think there’s a lot to like when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, which has been unfortunately marred by poor performance issues on a number of platforms, and some poor communication (along with some overpromising) on the part of the publisher. It’s clear that a lot of work went into putting this game together, and it’s unfortunate that it had to release in a state that feels a little unfinished. It’s still a game you can very much derive enjoyment from, even in its current state but your ability to overlook open-world bugs and performance issues is certainly going to factor in quite a bit.

    Cyberpunk 2077 didn't meet my expectations, but also didn't disappoint me. It delivered an RPG experience like no other, delving deep into themes like control, awareness and addiction. The combat is great and the graphics are amazing, but the bugs and some under-cooked systems make it seem like the devs got lazy, and that's always a bad sign. (Played on Xbox Series X)
