    There is certainly a lot to like for Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X. It's very nice that there are 2 performance modes so different experiences are available. The gameplay systems are very deep and diverse, the story is great and Night City is extremely dense. Cyberpunk 2077 is very ambitious and achieves a lot of what CDPR wanted for this game. However, that doesn't mean the game isThere is certainly a lot to like for Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X. It's very nice that there are 2 performance modes so different experiences are available. The gameplay systems are very deep and diverse, the story is great and Night City is extremely dense. Cyberpunk 2077 is very ambitious and achieves a lot of what CDPR wanted for this game. However, that doesn't mean the game is without its shortcomings.

    Firstly, the performance on base Xbox One (and One X to a degree) is just not acceptable at all. I understand developing for multiple platforms is extremely difficult & trying to finish a game during a global pandemic would hinder production, but if the game was not ready on consoles it never should have been sold for those platforms. You should always want to do right by your customers.

    Secondly, this game isn't as "RPG" as I had hoped. The game opens up with an extremely deep character customization screen allowing you to handcraft your own "V". However, the amount of control you have over your V from a narrative level is extremely slim. As you progress further into the game you soon realize your "V" is not actually yours but rather a "V" that just so happens to look like you. This is a huge missed opportunity similar to the way the game handles its extremely disappointing Life Path mechanic. Gameplay-wise this is as RPG as it gets but you begin to wonder if it should truly qualify as an RPG narratively.

    Finally, there is a severe lack of polish that just takes away from the experience. I am usually very liberal on bugs, but I encountered numerous issues from constantly clipping into walls, T posing NPCs, NPC's teleporting into the road & getting in trouble for hitting them, quests not registering, enemy ai randomly dying as they charge towards me, and extremely poor AI programming across the board. However, what ruins immersion the most is the fact that the NCPD teleport into a crime scene and start blasting anything on sight.

    There is A LOT to like about Cyberpunk 2077, but I can't help but feel like the game is just unfinished. I feel like this game needed at least another year in the oven before being out for people to spend their hard-earned money on it. In its current state, I give Cyberpunk a decent 7.     After about 30 hours or so on an Xbox One X (and on a 4k HDR TV) I just did not have the horrific experience that seems to be what most have experienced. Yes there has been a few floating soda cans and the occasional freeze/pause, but I've seen more positives than negatives during my gameplay so far. The graphics while not as crystal as hyped, are still very colorful & smooth textured.     Not perfect, but certainly not buggy. Runs fine on the xbox series x, a few bugs but nothing game breaking and genuinely a fun game to play, indepth story, balanced game play and one of the best of the year.

    I’ve played much buggier games. I’m satisfied with the game and the story. They did a great job with an expansive world and universe Minor crashing every so often isn’t a big deal for me. The game auto-saves often and I save frequently too. That said - please for the love of god let me set    I bought the game as a pre-order.     At first, I thought I could look past the bugs, (I’m not that far into the game), but now, as I play longer I encounter more and more bugs and glitches. I may have to restart my play through once a patch is released because at this point, I don’t know what I have missed out on in game due to all of the hiccups. Just last night I couldn’t complete a mission because finishing it wasn’t evenAt first, I thought I could look past the bugs, (I’m not that far into the game), but now, as I play longer I encounter more and more bugs and glitches. I may have to restart my play through once a patch is released because at this point, I don’t know what I have missed out on in game due to all of the hiccups. The same with Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Skyrim, Mass Effect, Fallout you name it what does this games have in common that their core gameplay is normal or basic but the whole experience of the game makes it great. So if you don't like games like that don't buy it THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU.

    I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One X the second it was available to play my digital copy(just to clarify i bought the game twice digital and physical I'm not from the US so the disk version takes at least a week to arrive so I went for bought to avoid spoilers) at first it felt unstable with frame drops and only crash once after ver 1.04 things improved A LOT in some times the game froze for a few seconds when you entered a different part of the city now this problem is gone and only feels like a half a second "load time" in a 50+ hours into the game only crashed like 3 or 4 times. The bugs are the usual you can expect in game of this type and size so far noting really drastic that would make me quit, there is one annoying thing that when you destroy an item for it's components the parts that you get pop out "common or rare parts" well this message repeats every time you enter the pause menu.

    I'm not going to tell about the story just that is amazing all the main characters are well done. Love the voice acting for female V is great at least on my first run, planning on doing the second with a male V and different life path. The gigs or side mission are interesting and offer and interesting bunch of quests, and every one of these has backstory that you can read in shards or emails and understand why this person is doing this and that.

    Now the gameplay and i will be comparing with other games... Ok all the driving, shooting, fighting, stealth, quick hacking it gets the job done. But all depends on you play style if you are a simple minded folk you are going to use force, shooting on site and use your brute force you can do this buy will be missing a lot of things. There are many ways to get your job done and doing it with a mix of this and that is such a great experience. I usually use my stealth (cool), Tech and Intelligence to take all my enemies with distractions and engaging only when necessary.

    But you will be surprise the amount of times you can get out of trouble just speaking and that adds lot of points in my book to Cyberpunk and the same thing happens to my with Mass Effect I can spend hours without firing my gun. Let's talk about you Cyberware and skill tree, if you played Deus Ex HR or MD your skill were the same as your augments pretty basic you gain level you gain a praxy point to unlock new abilities. In Cyberpunk leveling up gives you atribute points to spend in the main stats but each of this stats sub divided in skills and you get skill points by your play style so you can build your preferred "class" and every scenario has multiple entry points for example you can just shoot your way in, go around the back and use your tech skill to open a door or force open a door if you have enough strength.

    The way you use your Cyberware is great with a cooldown ram system this way you are not force to get Biocel like in Deus Ex because your energy eventually would run out and you can get some very use full daemon aka malware if you have enough ram you can shut down an enemy or overload their senses to so they don't call for backup and you quickly slices him in half with your katana or mantis blade.

    Well I'm going to wrap up this not proper review because haven't finished the game yet because I'm really having a great time with it but nevertheless Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game for Science Fiction lovers like me and even better if it's "Cyberpunk genre game" there are only a handful out there worth mentioning. Probably with later patches and when the next gen version is out my score is going to be higher.

    As a conclusion if you have a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X or next gen console go for it and gamers should focus more on actually playing the game and having fun rather nitpicking everything as excuse to spread hate in the big bad corporations. Finally as general critic i really hope that all the people here submitting their reviews at least bought and played the game if not your though are pointless.    … Expand

    I think we forget what games are about. Half of my life everyone says it's about gameplay. not graphic. today everyone is complaining about bad graphics in cyberpunk. yes, if you have a lot of bugs that prevent you from playing, then I sympathize and understand the wrong grades. but I play x box one and have a lot of fun. The graphics are worse than on new consoles. I had 3 errors for theI think we forget what games are about.     I like the Story and i really like the World. I I really like the Sounds of the Cars and Guns. I love the Characters, but there are many Problems. After every Fix it have new Problems. And one Point makes me really sad. After a delay for more than a Year, and a promissed it will be the best. And we have high standard we ge that bug party. Its really Sad but the rest is great.

    People are WAY overreacting about the bugginess of the game. I've played like 8 hours now, and the only bugs/glitches I've seen is a single person walking through a car and extremely minor clipping. I can say that this is the best and immersive game I've every played and I'm not going to stop playing it.

    - Lots of vehicles, weapons and clothes available.

    What is wrong? There were very high expectations of this game.

    - The graphics are beautiful in the city at night, so at the start in the town (nomand) it was average but not ugly.
    - After death, characters often move in strange positions while lying on the ground.
    - Collecting corpse items takes a lot of time and is boring.
    - Playing on the settings that prefer the appearance and not the number of frames, I experienced a drop in frames several times for several dozen hours of the game, without freezing.
    - After completing the main story, you need to load the previous save to continue the game. And the game constantly encourages you to continue the main story. For me, this is the most important element for improvement. After completing the story, it should be possible to continue the character's story, or in the event of her death, start the game without the main story in the background.
    - If there were any other shortcomings, they were covered by the pluses of the game so I have not remember them. While playing this game I did not looking for any problems and I focused on the enjoyment of the game which was huge.
    - I gave a rating of 10/10 because after finishing this game I don't want to play anything else because I can see how other titles are simplified in relation to this position.

    Great game. Got into it for about 30h. Beautiful views, great story, masterpiece creation of new world. Don't believe haters, there were some minor bugs, but nothing serious. 10/10 recommendation.

    I just want to counter the negative narrative out there with my own experience. Playing on Series S, game runs great, looks great. Getting exactly what I expected in terms of gameplay and story so far. It's been a ton of fun so far and I'm really looking forward to playing more.

    Sprawdziłem na 3 platformach gra się ok nie rozumiem hejtu. Na starym kalkulatorze nie ma co się spodziewać cudow. Dobrze ze wydali na te kalkulatory bo można uzyskać duza miodność

    Runs acceptable on xone s, switching to xsx soon, but actially its acceptable and platanów on xone.

    Character modeling/graphics/main trail - 15/10.

    After 25+ hours into the game, Im loving it despite the numerous bugs and glitches. There is way more positive in this game than negative. I highly recommend for xbox One X and Series X.

    Never before, have I gotten lost in the absolute sheer detail that goes in the worldspace of CyberPunk 2077. Many times in this game, I find myself just gazing at the complete beauty in the massive detail that goes into the city and the outer lands. I just want to say, the amount of detail they go into making this game so BREATHTAKING, and just so immersive, like I've never experienced inNever before, have I gotten lost in the absolute sheer detail that goes in the worldspace of CyberPunk 2077. Many times in this game, I find myself just gazing at the complete beauty in the massive detail that goes into the city and the outer lands. I just want to say, the amount of detail they go into making this game so BREATHTAKING, and just so immersive, like I've never experienced in an rpg in my life, it's absolutely incredible. The immersiveness and the world detail of this game is a solid 12/10, completely game changing. You'll never find the level of detail in this game anywhere else… Expand

    O game é maravilhoso, história cativante, as missões não são repetitivas, o fator RPG muito bom (um pouco confuso os menus) e gameplay divertida. Uma pena apenas os bugs e daley de renderização, mas mesmo assim vale a pena, quando concertarem isso, vai ser nota 10

    Its just amazing. Playing on series X! Never been so sucked into a gameworld as in cyberpunk. The glitches are minimal for me and i hope that all players can experience this game like i am doing now. Lets go patches!

    Playing on Series S 1.06 patch. With FPS and picture all ok. Game has some small bugs, stupid enemies and no help from friendly NPC during battle. But story line, impression, atmosphere. 10 points.

    honestly for me personally I have encountered very few bugs and had my game run much smoother than I had expected. And in every other aspect of the game my experience was overwhelmingly positive.

    Play 1 January 2021. Awesome game – the best technical execution and immersion in the game I've had. This is an absolute masterpiece! Haters – is arrogant kids. Don't listen haters. Buy this game, and get best adventure in cyberpunk (and sci-fi) settings on all time! CDPR – really geniuses!

    This game is excellent. The plot is next level. You hinestly never know what twist might occur at the climax of any of the missions. With the use of the gigs the pacing is left up to the player. The music is really nice. It really helps to immerse me in the moment. In fact it never fails to. The setting of Night City is gorgeous.     Great experience with a lot of fabulous storytelling. I played on basic xone and there was only few (less than 10) problems with strange objects or AI. And in my 40's I'm absolutely dying to play it on evening with my wife. NPC and back stories are better than in witcher 3. And than it was a masterpiece.

    J’ai dû créer un compte spécialement pour les critiques de ce jeu, c’est la première fois que je met un avis sur metacritic, en tant que joueur, je ne demande pas monde et merveille, mais juste pouvoir JOUER à ce jeu correctement.. hélas ce n’est pas le cas, Cd Project est tombé très très bas au yeux des joueurs.

    Et de l’embargo pour les testeurs qui n’avaient pas le droit de montrer des tests de version PS4/One on en parle ? Une censure de la part de CD Project, car eux même savaient que le jeu n’était pas prêt.. Quel mensonge, tout simplement honteux..

    Je ne sais même plus quoi dire tellement je suis déçu, je met un 2 juste pour la bande son et l’ambiance qui est présent... Mais tout le reste c’est poubelle..

    I've crashed more in Cyberpunk then any other game in the last two decades.
    There is a good game in there somewhere. The setting and mechanics are interesting. But Cyberpunk suffers from horrible performance. Like really horrible, the view distance, fps, npcs and cars loading infront of you, the radio freezing the game everytime you bring it up.

    AUDIO - BEST game of all time. 10/10. 100's of custom songs. great action music.
    Open World - BEST game of all time. 10/10. Dense. Interesting. EXPLORABLE.
    Graphics - Solid but not on the same level of got or lou. 8/10. Some graphic glitches but overall great.
    Controls - Great. Shooting feels like cod. 9/10. NO wierd input lag like rdr or gta. feels crisp like skyrim.
    Story - AMAZING. 9/10. Better than most others available. Some points reminded me of Detriot: Become Human.
    Fun Factor - Best game in recent memory. 10/10. Honestly sooooo good.

    I guess try it on stadia or next gen seeing how everyone hates it but I truly enjoyed this game.

    Toujours cette ambition qui les dévore, chez CD Projekt Red, souvent pour le meilleur mais aussi hélas, parfois… pour le pire ! à vrai dire, j’ai rarement joué un jeu de rôle aussi prenant, aussi enthousiasmant et en même temps, j’ai rarement été aussi déçu, énervé alors que des dizaines d’heures plus tard, on peut se rendre compte que sous le vernis de l’écriture qui semblait impeccable,Toujours cette ambition qui les dévore, chez CD Projekt Red, souvent pour le meilleur mais aussi hélas, parfois… pour le pire ! à vrai dire, j’ai rarement joué un jeu de rôle aussi prenant, aussi enthousiasmant et en même temps, j’ai rarement été aussi déçu, énervé alors que des dizaines d’heures plus tard, on peut se rendre compte que sous le vernis de l’écriture qui semblait impeccable, se cache de la prétention et pas mal de daube SJW d’anarchiste de base…

    Mais en vérité, on se retrouve en plein syndrome de Stockholm avec ce jeu, pris en otage par les mensonges éhontés de CDPR et les promesses non tenues… alors que leur service marketing a fait monter la sauce depuis 2018 comme des gorets défoncés au crack. Et pourtant, on est happé par cette ville immense, racoleuse et obscène, bariolée et ostentatoire, fascinante et tentaculaire ! ainsi que par ses personnages ‘bigger than life’… et cette ambiance incroyable et impitoyable.

    Et pourtant, la quête principale semble vissée sur des rails plus scriptés qu’une vieille telenovela de pacotille… et la fin ou plutôt les fins (6 fins avec 2 variantes chacune apparement) sont toutes dépressives à se tirer une balle. Bien qu’il semble qu’une autre fin, dépendant de l’affinité qu’on développe avec Johnny, conduirait à une issue moins tristement sinistre… mais cela dépend de comment on répond à Johnny lors de plusieurs quêtes… ce qui oblige quasiment à tout recommencer… donc !

    A noter que le jeu était truffé de bugs dans tous les sens, plus ou moins énervants ou désagréables. Mais si le jeu est très beau, il tourne de façon catastrophique sur les consoles PS4 et Xbox One et il tourne pas franchement terrible sur les toutes nouvelles consoles ! Sur la Series X, le mode performance (en 1080p seulement !) ne tient jamais les 60, et le mode qualité (qui ne dépasse jamais le 1800p) tousse encore, pas foutu de maintenir vraiment ses 30 im/s…!

    Les combats un peu trop nombreux sentent les Bordel-lands réchauffés… et l’infiltration (optionnelle) n’est pas vraiment exploitable… pour ne pas dire qu’elle est carrément à l’ouest et que l’iA est en règle générale et en particulier complètement pétée. Par contre, le piratage offensif à distance fonctionne à merveille avec son petit côté Watch Dogs pas désagréable du tout. Cependant, après plus de six mois de patchs, les bugs semblent avoir été éradiqués pour la plupart… mais il en reste encore, plus ou moins gênants et on attend toujours la mise-à-jour X|S qui éviterait au jeu de tourner comme une patate. Wait and see…

    Enfin, si bien des quêtes annexes s’avèrent très intéressantes (et drôles parfois) le reste n’est que remplissage et farmage impromptu à faire mourir de honte les pires mondes ouverts de chez Ubisoft avec des icônes plein la gueule de la map ! signalons que les cinématiques n’existent pas puisque tout se passe en vue subjective, partout, tout le temps : quel intérêt alors d’avoir toutes ces fringues et toute cette personnalisation si c’est seulement pour mater son personnage dans l’inventaire ?

    Et comme dit au début, l’agenda SJW anarcho-néo-marxo-communiste est de rigueur : oh les méchantes corpos, qu’elles sont vilaines et trop méchantes…

    Néanmoins, après l’avoir fini peu après la sortie, je m’y suis remis depuis ce patch 1.3 et malgré tous ses défauts, ce Cyberpunk reste encore hypnotique : le preneur d’otages est sympa en fin de compte, il s’est bien foutu de notre gueule et on lui trouve encore des qualités plus ou moins cachées… on reste fasciné à l’insu de son plein gré sans doute, ce qui prouve que s’ils continuent à corriger leur bébé, ces escrocs de chez CDPR pourront peut-être trouver leur cyber-rédemption… ou pas.

    Epilogue : le patch 1.5 est sorti ainsi que la version pour l’actuelle génération X|S, enfin ! et là encore… déception ! le mode qualité en 30 im/s bénéficie du ray-tracing… sauf qu’on ne le voit pas du tout ou si peu puisqu’il ne concerne que les ombres : CDPR se fout (encore) de notre gueule !

    Quant au mode ‘performance’, si l’on est passé du 1080 au 1440, les ralentissements demeurent quasiment les mêmes que sur l’ancienne version du jeu, à savoir que grosso merdo la moitié du temps, le jeu n’arrive pas à maintenir les 60 im/s requis. Parallèlement, on remarque que certaines textures (notamment les publicités en ville) sont devenues dégueulasses : tellement pixélisées qu’on se demande où on est… sur un jeu PS2 ou quoi ?

    J’ai refait une nouvelle partie en tout cas mais je ne suis pas parvenu à atteindre la ‘bonne’ fin… Tout cela est donc bien décevant et fort médiocre… et mérite une note médiocre finalement : un jeu passionnant mais également énervant, prétentieux et encore étonnamment buggué !    … Expand

    I had the game preloaded on my XSX and began playing the second it was launched in my location. Initially I noticed it was blurry about 50% of the time. I was slightly annoyed by this considering I really enjoy clarity and high res games but I knew that CDPR would patch the problem. In just 4 days I have put about 40 hours into the game and I will honestly say that it bugs out on me 2-3 times a day. Most of the bugs are very minor like an NPC clipping through a wall. It has not outright crashed on me, yet.

    The game was patched this weekend and once it was the blur is gone and I must say it is a damn beautiful game on the XSX. The only other real negative I have found in the game is the fact that the cars are a bit too bouncy for my personal taste when you drive them.

    In the 40 hours I have played I have played hardly any of the story missions. I have had so much fun exploring Night City and doing side jobs to earn money. Keanu Reeves is amazing in the game. I purchased the game managing my expectations knowing it would not be like The Witcher 3. I actually hoped it wouldn't and am glad its unique.

    I have been waiting for this game since it was announced, 8 years. I will say I was surprised it was so buggy after 8 years but honestly I was also sick of waiting for the game. V is a great character to play in the game and the voice acting is amazing. All in all this game is an extremely good game and one of my top 5 games for life. I know CDPR will patch it sooner or later and all of the childish complaining should stop soon after. I remember Witcher 3 wasn't perfect at launch either so manage your expectations.

The developers made this out to be an absolutely incredible RPG where you can look however. There isn’t a single slider for anything. Just pick your features and move on. I’m pretty sure Madden has more customization. 4 options for facial hair - but they just give you various colors. 2 full beards, 2 mustaches. THATS IT FOR BEARDS. Once you finish the ridiculously unimpressive customization you get to pick your “starting zone.” 3 zones with 25 minute storylines each that actually could have been amazing, but all lead to the same exact place where you begin the game. There’s no expansive story for your background. The graphics on the console are where this game really failed the people. I played on a One X. It looks like a Deus Ex game, which would be fine if I didn’t watch dozens of videos where the graphics looked breathtaking. It’s impossible to feel immersed because the NPCs don’t act human. They’re all on the same exact scripts.

    Driving is abysmal. It’s actually offensive how bad the driving is. They could have done one thing right and made the driving better, but didn’t. Think of the worst open world driving you’ve experienced. This is worse. Honestly I do have positives to the game. The city can absolutely be beautiful. The combat is really fun when the frames don’t drop to 10-15 frames while you’re shooting at an enemy that won’t stop dodging. The story is intriguing with fun little pieces that are added in to really make you feel like you’re solving a mystery. But the bugs and dropping frame rate on the non-next gen consoles is unacceptable. If Spider-Man and God of War could run on my launch day PS4, then this should be able to run on a OneX. I want to love this game. I want other people to love this game, but the console users got the shaft.     I’d really love to give this game a better score but it is nearly unplayable in its current state on XBONE. Extremely muddy/blurry visuals, very low frame rate, constant texture pop-in, major weapon and armor glitches.     Best game I have ever played. Every update make game better. I paid ones, I now my game every day give me more fun, because of updates. Excellent !!!!!!!!!!! CDR will never left theirs players.

Bugs, FPS drops in combat and a lower graphic quality, however this does not take away the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 is a very good game, with a huge open world where you cannot advance 100 meters without there being something to do. Let's hope they solve their problems soon because it may become the game of the year 2021.… Expand

    Deserves the hate that it's getting, predatory gaming studio practice is becoming far too normalised. The game runs awfully, it's unfinished and simply does not deliver as advertised. It should be treated as any other product that is not as advertised, it's a scam. If you enjoy it, sure, but you're further convincing game studios that this kind of behaviour is acceptable.

Love the characters, weapons, world, music, everything. Well, everything minus the bugs, lol. But the bugs have not ruined my experience whatosever. Some of them are quite funny.

I don't feel bad for them at all. I played this on my old X and it ran pretty well, but it runs at a beautiful 60fps on the series X without the future update even.     This game is just terrible. I expected much possibilities in Freeplay and there are not. The missions are too long and hard. Graphics horrible. Did crash one time in 20 hours on Xbox one S so that's a plus. I have never even heard of this site but I created an account just because it's horrible.

    The game simply put wasn’t ready, its blatantly unplayable, CDPR blatantly kept information away from the consumer. Even on next gen hardware and pc, the game is incredibly buggy, and struggles on a lot of pcs.

    This game is simply unplayable, and a game you can’t play shouldn’t be bought.

    Playing on Xbox Series X and overall the game has been enjoyable. The story is great and I have enjoyed the missions where I have mixed it up with stealth and gun fights. I'm really looking forward to the patch for the Series consoles as I think this will make the world more immersive (More like you see on the higher spec PC's) but still it is a great game. I have seen some bugs duringPlaying on Xbox Series X and overall the game has been enjoyable. The story is great and I have enjoyed the missions where I have mixed it up with stealth and gun fights. I can barely type this review due to the "Post and Character Count" being in my way on Chrome mobile browser.     Overall, I think there’s a lot to like when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, which has been unfortunately marred by poor performance issues on a number of platforms, and some poor communication (along with some overpromising) on the part of the publisher. It’s clear that a lot of work went into putting this game together, and it’s unfortunate that it had to release in a state that feels a little unfinished. It’s still a game you can very much derive enjoyment from, even in its current state but your ability to overlook open-world bugs and performance issues is certainly going to factor in quite a bit.

    Cyberpunk 2077 didn't meet my expectations, but also didn't disappoint me. It delivered an RPG experience like no other, delving deep into themes like control, awareness and addiction. The combat is great and the graphics are amazing, but the bugs and some under-cooked systems make it seem like the devs got lazy, and that's always a bad sign. (Played on Xbox Series X)
