At first, for a very long time, I did not know what rating to put. On the one hand, the game seemed incredibly boring and unsuccessful to me. On the one hand, the game seemed incredibly boring and unsuccessful to me. But on the other hand, if you look at this situation from a different angle, this is a very touching message to your parents and an expression of their respect and boundless love. Well, this is also the first review of the Xbox Series S, so we need to start on a good note.

In fact, this is a 3D puzzle platformer made in a "paper" style, with cuttings from secret documents in the spirit of the mid-50s of the 20th century. The plot here is presented on behalf of a woman who suspects her parents of being Danish citizens in the secret service and is trying to get all sorts of information from them about it. The premise is interesting and would be great for a documentary semi-fiction book or amateur documentary, but making a game out of it? It came out very weak, in my opinion.

The game has very inconvenient controls, and a meager filling of locations for details, the game is voiced in Danish and translated into this language, which is logical if the authors are from Denmark, but I don’t understand why, in addition to these languages, there are only Italian and English. A game with a deep story should be translated into 10-15 of the most popular languages at least + Russian, taking into account the theme of the Cold War and a reference to Khrushchev himself, who spoke Russian in the game.

All in all, it's a very clumsy project with a lot of flaws, but I'll give it the green light because it looks like a loving daughter made this game for her elderly parents. Glory to Ukraine!

If you don’t care about history, of course, then Cosmic Top Secret probably isn’t worth your time. Like I said, the 3D platforming element is wonky at the best of times, so if you don’t want a deep dive into Cold War history, it won’t be worth it. But if you’re in the mood to be educated as you play, Cosmic Top Secret is about as engrossing as historical games come.

Cosmic Top Secret is a fascinating, unique and surreal title that immerses us in the secrets of the Cold War in Denmark, all with a personal and intimate narrative. It's not a game without flaws and it's certainly not for everyone, but it's definitely worth a try for those looking for something that's out of the box.

Cosmic Top Secret is a 3D platformer with a unique pulled-from-a-scrapbook look. It is clearly a personal story that I am glad exists, even if I didn’t find it captivating.
