Simple in concept, but very challenging and rewarding, Circuits is a musical puzzle game that requires careful listening to complete each level. The goal of Circuits: to piece together the different parts of a song. Sounds easy, but maybe it's not...

As we love music, we wanted to make a game that gives the player an insight into how music is created and makes listening the core part of the experience. Packed with beautifully designed minimal graphics, to not disturb the focus of the game, and 25 different songs for the player to reconstruct. So if you like music, you will like Circuits .

Circuits is not like any other puzzle game that I have ever played, but it is still one that is easy to recommended to anyone and everyone who is after something new.

There aren’t many musical based game’s out there at the moment and this type of genre is definitely not for everybody, but I must admit thatThere aren’t many musical based game’s out there at the moment and this type of genre is definitely not for everybody, but I must admit that I’m a fan of the musical based genre of game’s. Thankfully Circuits gets more right than it gets wrong and in my opinion it’s a decent addition to the genre. Obviously the biggest and most important part of a game like this is the music, and thankfully they have got the music spot on. They have also the added bonus of decent visuals and these combine with the music extremely well. The puzzles in the game are very decent indeed and they have a great amount of variety to them, but unfortunately there isn’t enough of them. The content in the game is pretty low and there isn’t enough modes which is a shame because I know for a fact that this is a game I would play for quite a while if there was more content. The difficulty curve in the game has been managed well and the frustration levels never go to high because of that. Another thing they do to combat any frustration is that they offer you the right amount of hints during each puzzle and even when using a hint you still become very satisfied when completing a difficult puzzle/song. The only frustrating thing about the game was the controls because they can feel a little awkward and unresponsive at times and I think that’s mainly down to the game being designed for the PC first. Everything else though has been implemented perfectly to the console, which is a relief. At the end of the day if you ever fancy playing something different and you enjoy creating and listening to some very good music then you will thoroughly enjoy your time with Circuits. It is however a game that doesn’t have a long shelf life and the lack of content means that the game can be completed quite quickly, but at least the content they do have has been done really well. Without a doubt this game isn’t for everybody and some will find it tedious, but it ticked a lot of boxes for me and when it’s all said and done it gets a big thumbs up from me. Expand
