    SURVIVE
    Ally or compete with other stalkers of the Chernobyl zone to survive. Remember that life is fragile, and it's your decisions that determine the fate of your companions. You can spend as long as you need preparing, however, be aware that your story is still being written. Every passing moment, your chances of success are dwindling: comrades are dying, supplies are running out, or an unexpected patrol could discover you. And on top of all this, supernatural dangers are arising around you in mysterious patterns. Each day brings new challenges with the ever-increasing severity of your current situation. Plan your strategy carefully if you want to survive.

    PLAY BY YOUR OWN RULES
    Craft your gear and weapons to protect yourself from the hostile military personnel and supernatural threats lurking in the zone. Make use of the sophisticated tools at your disposal to aid you in your struggle while navigating the rough and contaminated environment. Stay undetected and gather all the evidence you can to piece together events from the past.
    Decide what happens in the world around you by making choices and finding, or avoiding, the truth.

    Chernobylite is an amazing, well put together survival game that has some mind blowing plot twists, some truly difficult decisions and a stunning backdrop to experience. Add in the constant sense of unease as you take every step in the exclusion zone and The Farm 51 have made one of my games of the year!

    Chernobylite is a lovingly crafted example of what a post-apocalyptic game can and should be, offering players a rollercoaster of a story with plenty of choices that naturally lend to an overarching sense of freedom. Aside from a few technical issues, Chernobylite does everything right and wraps it all in a tense, and oftentimes uncomfortable, package that has you wanting to see what’s lurking around the next corner. If there has ever been a game that makes you want to pack your bags and take a trip to a dangerous part of the world, this is it.

    Chernobylite mixes a whole load of gaming styles but still manages to come up with something very unique and challenging. It’s a game in which you can invest a bunch of hours, especially in the resource management stuff, but is neatly complemented by a cracking story and some great visuals.

    Conceptually, Chernobylite will intrigue you. Its blend of Sci-Fi and clichéd moments are complemented by authentic dialogue and real to life visuals. There is much to love about this survival game and you’ll soon forgive the shortcomings.

    Chernobylite is an interesting and surprising game, thanks to an emotional and deep story, an engaging atmosphere and a good mix of different gameplay styles. Unfortunately, some problems such as repetitiveness, a low challenge level and a series of annoying bugs prevent it from reaching higher heights.

    Chernobylite isn't a perfect game. Its story might not be everybody's cup of tea and can result a bit chaotic. Its gameplay relies heavily in if you enjoy exploring repeatedly its maps, surviving and gathering resources. If that's the case, there's no doubt that this title can offer you an original gameplay loop, with the posibility of hooking you through hours and hours. It is more worrisome, however, the numerous crashes that we have experienced in Xbox Series X, and which we sadly had to have in mind when deciding this title's final score.

Fizyka, który był kiedyś pracownikiem elektrowni atomowej. Po wielu latach powraca on do strefy skażenia, aby wyjaśnić tajemnicę zaginięcia jego ukochanej Tatiany. Czarnobylskie lasy skrywają jednak o wiele więcej „mrocznych” sekretów, z którymi będzie musiał on sobie jakoś poradzić. Okolica dawnej elektrowni to bowiem nie tylko zabójcze promieniowanie, ale również pewna wojskowa organizacja, która nie lubi zbyt wścibskich osób. Z każdym kolejnym odkrytym przez nas śladem, widzimy nie tylko wycinki przeszłości bohatera, pozwalające mu zrozumieć co stało się z jego żoną, ale przede wszystkim odsłaniają się przed nami sekrety tytułowego „czarnobylitu” i przeprowadzanych tam tajnych eksperymentów. Mamy więc tutaj do czynienia z mieszanką elementów postapo i fantastyki naukowej (podróże w czasie, inne wymiary itp.), gdzie dodatkowo twórcy pokusili się o dodanie pewnych obyczajowych wątków. Wszystko to nieustannie się tutaj przeplata, tworząc naprawdę niezłą i wciągającą całość. Nie jest to oczywiście historia idealna i znajdziemy tutaj kilka „udziwnień” czy głupot, ale i tak gra, pod tym względem wyróżnia się na tle konkurencji.

    Twórcy z The Farm 51 postawili na dość ciekawy i zróżnicowany mix gatunkowy. Na gracza czekają w Chernobylite elementy gry akcji, survival-horroru i RPG-a. Całą zabawę można zasadniczo podzielić na dwie odrębne części. Pierwsza z nich dotyczy naszej bazy i wszystkich podejmowanych tam czynności. Służy nam ona nie tylko jako miejsce odpoczynku i hub wyboru nowych misji, ale również jako placówka, którą należy cały czas rozwijać (zależnie od posiadanych zasobów). Gracz z dość przejrzystego menu wybiera elementy, które chce umieścić w swojej kryjówce. Można podzielić je na kilka kategorii: obiekty pozwalające na odblokowanie nowych schematów budowy, warsztaty pozwalające na wytwarzanie/ulepszenie różnych przedmiotów (broń, amunicja, pancerz, leki, wytrychy itp.) oraz obiekty wpływające bezpośrednio na poziom bazy. Każda wzniesiona konstrukcja ma jakieś bezpośrednie przełożenie na kilka parametrów kryjówki (wygoda, ochrona przed promieniowaniem, energia, czyste powietrze, miejsce do spania). Ma to dość duże znaczenie nie tylko na efektywność „odpoczynku”, ale również zadowolenie i „wydajność” zrekrutowanych towarzyszy. Dodatkowo biorąc pod uwagę ograniczone ilości zasobów, należy więc dobrze przemyśleć stawiane „ulepszenia”, aby cały czas nasza kryjówka była na optymalnym poziomie.

    Buszowanie po napromieniowanych lasach i opuszczonych budynkach.
    Każdego dnia gracz opuszcza swoją kryjówkę, aby „zwiedzić” niebezpieczne tereny wokół elektrowni. To od nas zależy czy chcemy się podjąć konkretnej zleconej misji, czy może wolimy udać się na poszukiwanie potrzebnych zapasów. Na misje można również wysyłać swoich towarzyszy, ich skuteczność będzie jednak zależna od ich wyposażenia i poziomu „wygody” bazy.

    Zona w Chernobylite podzielona jest na kilka oddzielnych obszarów, do których dostajemy się za pomocą „futurystycznego portalu”. Mapy poszczególnych lokacji nie są może zbyt wielkie, dają nam jednak sporą swobodę ich eksploracji (czasem ograniczoną pewnymi środowiskowymi przeszkodami jak np. tereny gdzie można się dostać, jedynie posiadając maskę przeciwgazową). Na tych obszarach twórcy umieścili różnorakie zasoby (których ilość będzie zależna od wybranego poziomu trudności). Obok samych surowców, można znaleźć tam również kilka innych wartych odkrycia sekretów. Począwszy od elementów (najczęściej jakieś dokumenty) pozwalających na posunięcie historii Tatiany do przodu, przez handlarzy gdzie możemy wymienić niepotrzebny towar, kończąc na osobach, które wraz z rozwojem fabuły będzie można zrekrutować do swojej „drużyny”. Same lokacje są przygotowane naprawdę bardzo dobrze. Jest to głównie zasługa wielkiej dbałości twórców o najdrobniejsze detale, tak aby jak najlepiej oddać klimat tamtego miejsca. Niestety, ale gra nie uniknęła pewnej wtórności. Wraz z powrotami do zbadanych już terenów (nawet pomimo nowych losowo pojawiających się surowców czy wrogów), gracz może odczuwać pewną dozę znużenia.
