    I have been playing this game today with my girlfriend and it is totally awesome. Love the story its fun and cute and the couch coop is something I am a huge fan of. Loved Guacamelee and Child of light and now loving this game. Also its free with games with gold so no reason if you have anybody at home wanting to game with you not to grab this game on Xbox One and game it up. Just loveI have been playing this game today with my girlfriend and it is totally awesome. Love the story its fun and cute and the couch coop is something I am a huge fan of. Loved Guacamelee and Child of light and now loving this game. Also its free with games with gold so no reason if you have anybody at home wanting to game with you not to grab this game on Xbox One and game it up. Just love it and so far have zero complaints difficulty seems to move up with the game and I thought carrying a dead king would get cumbersome and boring but it's honestly one of the coolest elements I've used in any game.

    Chariot is a fun and inventive take on platforming games. Make no mistake, this game can be beyond challenging. It may even be rage inducing to some. I plan to finish this game, but as of now I am stuck needing a blueprint (upgrade) for the chariot, but I haven't been able to get it after 30-40 frustrating attempts.     I got this game for free because of my Gold membership. Chariot is a platform style puzzler with cute graphics. Basically your a princess, or some guy that you can choose to play. Maybe the prince? Who are tasked with dragging the dead king's coffin around, to find enough gold and a sepulcher to satisfy his ghost. Which will allow him to finally rest in peace.

    So basically you push,    I got this game for free because of my Gold membership. Chariot is a platform style puzzler with cute graphics. Basically your a princess, or some guy that you can choose to play. Maybe the prince?     So basically you push, pull your way through a series of jumps to get this coffin on ghostly wheels to go through caves and such, gathering treasure along the way. Eventually there are animals that try to steal your gold. But do not fear before each level you can choose one item to take along to help you. You earn these items by finding blue prints during your travels. This can be a stake to use to swing or hold the coffin. Or a bomb to blow up baddies. And several other items. This is where the local co-op comes in handy, as your friend can bring one item along also. Assuming you both chose different items you are doubly effective. And some areas require 2 players cooperating. Though the game itself can be beat in solo mode. The real fun is to be had in co-op play. After you beat a level you can also try to improve your time, setting records for your friends to be jealous of.

    Over all I found it to be a nice relaxing, simple puzzler, with soothing music. I'm not the biggest puzzler fan, but I found this to be a nice game. My wife and grandchildren tend to enjoy these games. And I enjoy watching them enjoy the game. It is a nice family game, where everyone, even the least talented gamers can have fun. As the first time you need a new skill, it has pictures showing you what buttons, and how to use them.

    If you love puzzlers you will love this game. The music is soothing, it is not a high pressure type of game. It's about relaxing. It's also a game that should be simple enough for young children to enjoy. And if your an Xbox One gold member it's free. Which just gives your guest more games to choose from.

    I give it an 8 because I find it enjoyable, not much taking away from it. But it's not my favorite game in the world. Few are, and they are the only ones I rate 10.    … Expand

    I recently got my Xbox One. I never thought my favorite game would be a free Xbox Live Gold game! Chariot is making me feel like I'm in the 90's again, just having pure fun playing. If you loved 90's games, jumping around levels, fighting enemies, and performing moves with a few buttons, you're going to love this!

    Good couch co-op games are rare these days - but Chariot is here to the rescue. It's a fun, charming and an even more challenging experience together with a friend. And if I say challenging, I mean challenging. Already in the very first levels you'll come across very puzzling parts if you want to go for all collectibles. Partly this is also because the game does not the best job in explaining it's mechanics to you and sometimes, you'll learn some controls later than you would have already needed them - but this is only an issue in the early stages.

    While possible and still fun, I wouldn't recommend playing it alone. You won't be able to explore all areas alone and it is also only half the fun - which, to be fair, is still a lot of fun, though. But I highly recommend to grab a friend for this game.

    Having said that, my only real issue with the game is, that despite the focus on cooperative play, Xbox Achievements are only given to the main profile, but not to your coop partner. It's very fustrating for the 2nd player to see all the achievements for the hard work are only popping up only for P1. I asked the very friendly and responsive devs if they can fix this and they promised to look into it - hopefully, we will see a fix for this.

    Anyway, Chariot is highly recommended for everyone looking for a funny little couch coop game that is also challenging enough that you will really feel good when you solve puzzles together!    … Expand

    Maybe i should try multiplayer. Good solid puzzling. Better that it was free. I don't feel it adds much new to puzzle games but it has little competition on xbo.

    What can I say? It's really fun to play with someone by your side as you communicate while you try to fully complete each level, as its simple, intuitive commands allow casual gamers to give it a try (even better: its free for limited time for GOLD accounts).

    This game is too awesome! Had some of my friends over and tried it out. Hours passed and we were hooked. The co-op element is equally brilliant and hilarious! I almost peed my pants on a few occasions. lol It just becomes so funny seeing two people trying to accomplish something in this game. We had the girls take turns together, and then the guys.     Fortunately, I was able to get this game for free because of my Gold membership. So if you're able to get it, this one is definitely worth downloading. If this game wasn't free with Gold, and they had a demo, I would have bought it for sure! It's a lot of fun, and challenging (more so in balance, planning and timing) rather than difficult to solve puzzles, which makes it more accessible to everyone in the room.    … Expand

    A fun puzzle based side-scroller that can be frustrating at times, but with the good very much outweighing the bad. Although this game is nothing truly amazing, it is fun and stylish enough to keep you playing and wanting to keep going. Between the unique visuals, fun puzzle solving, fitting music and the cheesy dialogue it's a very nice experience. I think the only things that wouldA fun puzzle based side-scroller that can be frustrating at times, but with the good very much outweighing the bad. Although this game is nothing truly amazing, it is fun and stylish enough to keep you playing and wanting to keep going. Between the unique visuals, fun puzzle solving, fitting music and the cheesy dialogue it's a very nice experience. I think the only things that would have gotten this game a higher rating is the ability to co-op online other than the only option being local play SINCE nearly ever map on this game has at least one spot that requires two players to unlock everything there is to find.… Expand

    with intuitive controls and a totally original premise this game stands out in the Indy world to me. fun and challenging puzzles with action packed platforming combined with a funny story and lively characters makes for hours of enjoyment in this breath of fresh air in a sea of stagnant repetitive gaming titles. if you own an Xbox one this game is worth every penny, though it was a freewith intuitive controls and a totally original premise this game stands out in the Indy world to me. fun and challenging puzzles with action packed platforming combined with a funny story and lively characters makes for hours of enjoyment in this breath of fresh air in a sea of stagnant repetitive gaming titles. if you own an Xbox one this game is worth every penny, though it was a free with gold title a few months back so you might have it in your library already and haven't touche it.… Expand

    Chariot is a puzzle-platform developed with co-op mechanics in mind, that loses part of his charm when played alone. The game is based on its realistic and well implemented physics, and knows how to entertain, also thanks to its high replayability.
