Countless heroes have tried and failed to destroy the ancient spell that holds its walls. Meanwhile, hundreds of monsters are roaming inside, guarding the sword shards — the last known thing to be capable of defeating the demonic castle owner, thus shattering its magical structure. Although, you are not alone — some help could be obtained from the merchants, who, for reasons not truly understood, offer their services right inside the lair of evil. Though, it seems to be only a matter of time for them to disappear... Explore 6 x 6 x 6 = 216 rooms of randomly generated hazards and enemies while collecting the necessary artefacts. Expand

We return to the Castle of no Escape to retrieve the Five Fragments of the Legendary Weapon to defeat the Final Boss. Drawing heavily from the previous title in the series, you are greeted with new champions to play, and a few to unlock. Instead of wandering around a grid with Icons, this time around we're treated to the full dungeon crawler experience, complete with attack animations, and cooldowns! And taking another cue from its predecessor, you get no tutorial! Back to Trial and error, but none of the game is too hard to figure out. You blindly travel around the towers many rooms in search of the fragments, fighting countless mythical and fantasy monsters. The game looks sounds and feels like it should be on the NES, hailing to the roots it pays tribute to. Far more fun than it's first installment, it brings a much more fulfilling game experience to the table, from better characters to better gameplay. Utilizing a password style system, certain rooms will give you a wheel of symbols you can enter at the beginning of the game to start at one of these points, items intact. Castle of no Escape 2 captures what the first game tried to capture, and lends itself as quite the replayable game! Expand
