Car Demolition Clicker for Xbox is a cheap way to pass the time and it’s hard to grumble about a game that lets you annihilate vehicles till your heart’s content. But grumble I shall, with a targeted damage feature that’s flawed from the outset and a fairly pointless New Game+ style reset offering little incentive. Fortunately, wrecking cars is enjoyable, with a decent range of upgradable weapons in your arsenal and a welcome support system of drones to give those fingers a rest.

Car Demolition Clicker is a pick up and put down game, a game you play if you’re distracted and want to kill some time. That doesn’t necessarily make it a bad game though. I was relieved when I discovered that I didn’t have to click my way through 20 gruesome hours. Upgrading my arsenal made me play a little bit more each time with the mindset of wanting to get stronger. Adding factions help the player grind the resets out pretty quickly considering you only need to destroy fifty cars with a faction (plus ten per additional reset), but you do have to go through the levels again. I personally still have some achievements left in the game to unlock, but do plan on doing so since it’s a relaxing game to pick up in an awkward amount of free time, and is okay to leave running with no consequences.

If you’re a fan of clickers, I guess Car Demolition Clicker counts as a good one? Can clickers even be judged by traditional standards of “good” and “bad”? You click a bunch of times, and the game doesn’t break. If that’s what you’re after, this delivers, and it has car explosions to boot.

Looking for an inexpensive way to pass your time during pandemic here's another option for you on your Xbox One. You won't believe the many cars you can demolish in Car Demolition Clicker and the tools you can use, it's probably its best asset. In many ways, Car Demolition Clicker tries to bring a bit of depth to proceedings and be more engaging than others of this genre or style. However ultimately, those unique aspects are where the majority of its faults lie and that ensures you’re in for a fairly average clicker. Yes you heard it right it's a clicker (as the title says) and you actually have boss cars which are harder to demolish. The game has its own style which is something I'm not really used to from the clicker game genre but as long as you manage your expectations, Car Demolition Clicker does its job as a clicker game, and if your desires are as simple as that, feel free to consider it to pass the time I personally have OCD so clicker games always seem to draw me for some reason. The concept is always simple but the fun you can have from clicker games is quite odd how going back to simplicity like the early days of gaming can still satisfy gamers who grew up playing all the video games over the years, so it's worth a look in my humble opinion especially if you fall into the "OG" category of gaming.
