    Wow, this is bad. The single player campaign is a movie riddled with small moments you can play that are a copy of previous COD games. The graphics looks like it was made 5 years ago. The MP may be the worst in COD history.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the most garbage Call of Duty EVER! I have been playing Call of Duty since the first one in 2003, and even that game is better than this garbage! The story is the most annoying thing to get through. Play it on easy, and you’ll breeze through like you’re invincible. Play on veteran, and the enemy has the most pinpoint accuracy ever! The campaign is so stupid. If I wanted you guys to make a movie, I would have asked for a movie. But we didn’t. We asked for a Video Game. Not a 50% game and 50% movie that nobody wants to watch. The Japanese in the missions with them have German weapons that were not even in the hands of the Germans! SO WHY DO THE JAPANESE HAVE THEM! On top of that, why did the Germans and Japanese both use the same crappy shotgun, but neither of them historically used. If you want to add a shotgun in the game, why not add the shotgun that the Germans issued to their pilots. You could even have it with a select fire mode where one mode shoots shotgun shells, and the other shoot a rifle cartridge. There is an actual survival shotgun the Germans were given. You even had it in the last call of duty made by this company. All you had to do was reuse it. And don’t even get me started on how they completely disregarded any of the historical names for any of the weapons. Do you want to use the Federov of rifle? It’s now the Automaton. What kind of idiots can’t even program a rifle that’s called what it is! It’s not a “Line 3”, it’s an M1891/30 Mosin-Nagant. And don’t even get me started on the invisible walls, anti-lack of ability to find your own way through a mission. Go back to call of duty two, or call of duty three. Both of those games allows you to create your own pathway to complete the mission. Now you have to go down a set path, and you better not deviate from that path. Because if you do, the game will kill you.

    Don’t even get me started on zombies. We trade in what was an alright mode for Call of Duty WW2, for the absolute garbage that is Vanguard Zombies. Say goodbye to all your favorite perks, where you buy it once, and that’s it. No, instead I have to keep paying points to get the full effect of what was a simple system. Say goodbye to your favorite wall guns, now you have to gamble away at the Random Weapons Box. Say goodbye to round based zombies. Now it’s the same 3 missions, on 5 maps, and some of them are in the starting area. But for some reason you have to teleport back to the starting area? They keep teasing the idea of them having Shi no Numa, and I can promise you, if it’s the same stupidity we have in this mode, I’m gonna quit playing. The multiplayer is just as bad. I have encountered so many crashes when trying to get into a match it’s not even funny. And it doesn’t just lock up the game. It locks up my Xbox. So I have to unplug my Xbox, and replug it in, and then retry to play this game. The Maps or all right, but there’s nothing that makes me wanna keep playing this game.

    You can sit here and tell me that it’s not as bad as I’m saying it is, and I’m gonna call you a liar. Call back and play world at war. Go back and play modern warfare. Go back and play Black ops one. This game is garbage. Do not buy it. This is not worth the $60 that they are selling it for. As I said before, I’ve been a fan of call of duty since 2003. Call of duty made me interested in history, it made me want to join the army. I am now more than ever, I never wanna touch call of duty. If the next game is not at least as good as in the campaign department as modern warfare, or black ops Cold War, I’m not gonna buy another call of duty. This has completely ruined my enjoyment for call of duty. I don’t know who sledgehammer games made this for, because it’s not for anyone who likes call of duty. They gave the game an M rating, but they don’t even do anything with that I am rating. They make this game for children. I’m tired of it. I’m tired of wasting my money on a game that’s not even going to bring me any kind of enjoyment.

    If you want to find better, go play any of the games from the heyday of call of duty. And I really wish that college duty would quit making this game for the 14 year old child, grow some balls, and give us another modern warfare two, or or give us another world at war. Because as it stands, I would rather play the original call of duty from 2003 with better graphics. Because even that is at least functional.    … Expand

    Beautiful graphics and extremely well made cutscenes in single player, very fun. Multiplayer is okay, but you wont get anything better anyway in 2021, because Battlefield will be absolute fail. There's a chance that Halo will be good, but that's for next month.

The Beta was kinda null in certain points, but Sledgehammer Games actually listened to what we wanted in the game, and they did it. Various adjustments and additions, balances, visibility, and everything else in betweens. The superior IW 8.0 engine did show the beauty here, but there are some things that I need to pointed out.

    (+3) Multiplayer at launch was better than I expected. Seems like they have tuned down their controversial and "rage-inducing" skill-based matchmaking (at least, from my perspective). Players are now rewarded more often and penalized less. A solid step-up from Black Ops: Cold War, where in that game, everything would not be able to go along together in the right direction.

    (+1.5) SUPPORT BOTH NVIDIA DLSS AND AMD FIDELITYFX SUPER RESOLUTION.

    (+1.5) Visiblity is an improvement here compared to Modern Warfare (2019). More colors are visible and you can still see characters in certain dark areas.

    (+1) Maps were well-designed, with balances between "predictable lanes" and "encourage camping." They allowed for a more wider-range of engagement, dynamics and balance of gunfights. Covers and destructible environments make this even more intriguing.

    (+0.5) Tons of settings to play around.

    (0) I wish the campaign was longer and go through the beginning of World War 2.

    (0) Despite using IW 8.0 engine. There are NO ray-tracing options in the game. A slight let down, but it really does not matter since a game like this demanded quick reaction and fast frames, and the game still look beautiful without ray-tracing.

    (0) Don't expect historical accuracy from this game.

    (-0.5) No factions. This can cause confusions during an intense gunfight.

    (-0.5) Sniper rifles take forever to aim. But I think they were intended to preserve their true roles to support from long range and not going in aggressively.

    (-1) Grinds take too much time. Even with Double XPs enabled, you can level up your weapon on average - 3 to 4 levels per match.

    (-1) Cheaters are in the game already! They got everything unlocked before they even play their first match! (Still not widespread, though.)
    [New anti-cheat is coming. I hoped that it will deal a major blow to them.]

    (-1) Some bugs were seen, hopefully they will fix them in the future.

    Big thank you to Sledgehammer Games for making so fun and enjoyable campaign. I wasn't sold by trailers, but i watched some youtube videos of other people playing it and having fun, that was enough for me to buy it.

    Fun and chaotic multiplayer, short, but still solid campaign, actually good graphics, zombies are bad, but they can update it. Overall i'm glad i bought it, great game and possibly best shooter of 2021, unless Halo does something.

    I mean, sure, zombie mode is meh, but if you are actually OG player, you would know that COD was never meant to be zombie game. Zombies are just fun bonus mode. If you want to play actual zombie games, play Days Gone or Resident Evil 2 Remake. Anyway, other than that, game is solid.

    One of the better COD games in a long time. Basically no bugs, runs well, good graphics, solid story, fun multiplayer, what else do you want? Obviously Battleflop2042 fanboys are extremely salty because Vanguard is popular, but that's just how it is now. They just have to deal with the fact that COD is overall better game. People are absolutely enjoying COD as of right now on youtube.

    Call of duty vanguard isn’t the best call of duty but I actually really love the direction they seem to be going with campaigns, this time about 6 hours which I think is a great length.. Vnguard sets out to tell a story of war heroes during world war 2, similar to the battlefield 1 campaign, youll go through each characters stories and it isn’t all just run and gun, there are some amazingly immersive moments here, great stealth sections through a forest, a section where youre a sniper, there are horror like moments keeping you on your toes as you go through buildings, did I love the characters themselves? Not so much, none were memorable to me, but I do appreciate the attempt to flesh them out, to create a series that players can look forward to.. the campaign again isn’t the best, but I did appreciate the effort here.. I appreciate the variety how each of thse 6 hours felt different…
    And onto the multiplayer, first off, lets just skip over zombies, I don’t like zombis I never have and Ive heard this year is the worst yet, si I hopped right into multiplayer.. The multiplayer this time is pretty bare bones, but hey.. I actually like that.. I like the simplicity of pick a load out, use that gun to level it up, go through the typial team deathc match, capture the flag, search and destroy modes.. however the gunplay just isn’t fun for me this year, the maps are pretty bland as well.. I did have an enjoyable few hours with multiplayer but after a weekend of play times, there wasn’t enough to hook me in like past titles have..
    Call of Duty anguard is a great call of duty game..
    Will it quickly b forgotten the moment the next shiny multplayer shows up? Yes, this will not be a staple in your multiplayer collection, but for the time I spent with it, its pretty solid, especially the single player campaign,

    One of the best graphics of 2021, idk what battlefield is doing, because they should learn from Vanguard. This is complete product. 16 very good maps, over 30 guns, single player (battlefield doesn't even have that, what a joke), fun multiplayer, very, very, very few bugs.

    Really solid CoD, possibly my third favorite after Modern Warfare (2007) and Modern Warfare 2 (2009). Good 4-6 hour story (depends if you take your time or just rush), fun multiplayer that has some spawning issues that need to be fixed.

The campaign is ok, but isn't great. The story writing is lousy and the campaign overall seems forgettable. Zombies is one of the worst I've seen.     Multiplayer is copy and pasted from previous games, don’t even bother trying split screen so glitchy and unplayable. Zombies doesn’t work at all in splitscreen.

Zombies is bad, campaign is mediocre, multiplayer is fun when you have other people to play with who don’t use the mp40 and camp, those people are the people who complain that each cod is the same, because they don’t change there playstyle, there is a lot of fun chaos you can have, but 60$ is stretching the price tag too far 20-35$ at discount price is good enough. Oh, and don’t play this game on last gen if you didn’t like aw on 360 lol.… Expand

    I played it on an xbox one x. I adjusted some of the graphics options, like turning off motion blur. With motion blur off the game ran quite nicely.     so i think this is definitely worth a rental just to play through the campaign.
    there is hardly any replay value though.
    my favorite mission was the battle of midway but it was short and the scope of it was limited in terms of what you're able to do but had a few good sequences of dive bombing and dog fighting.
    beautiful graphics for sure.
    but you hardly get to enjoy the beauty because you're constantly fighting.
    decent realistic gore.
    bad ass explosions. you seem some bodies vaporized into bloody mist from a shell blast. there's some limb dismemberments here and there.
    you get to use a lot of variety of gun.

    The guns are lame and have little to no difference in feeling, they all have almost zero recoil, and all feel like trash. The story is alright, but the actual story gameplay is butt trash. If this game was less than ten bucks it's worth buying for a few cheap giggles and maybe 5 hours of enjoyment, but overall it's a lackluster dud of an FOS game. Don't wast your money.

    This game is the glitchiest game I’ve played yet to date and the multiplayer isn’t enjoyable due to exploits of glitches within the game by players and cheats therefore making team death match or any other multiplayer match completely unenjoyable ….deleting and jumping off the call of duty band wagon

The campaign is **** you spend 2 hours learning the backstory of characters you play as for 30 minutes, it basically said "here's the backstory of ALLLL these characters however your going to play with them for 30 minutes and not learn the backstory of your own, bad campaign **** multiplayer **** zombies -10/10 dont play if you want REAL fun play MW2 (2009)… Expand
