    Amazing campaign! Fun to play, and provides an enticing story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time! Infinity Ward have outdone themselves and my own expectations. This game brings new life to the franchise. Multiplayer seems to have been built from the ground up with great experiences and the addition of crossplay. For anyone that is mad about its portrayal of Russians,Amazing campaign! Fun to play, and provides an enticing story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time!     A great game with the worst designed maps in Call of Duty history.

    The maps are designed for two things.
    1: Spawn trap.
    2: Camp.

    Thhis game is desperately trying to be Battlefield and fails doing so.

    I like this game. The maps are hard to memorize because there are so many angles and spots to camp. After all, they said It was a more "Realistic" game. I understand that real-world war crimes are not okay to put into a game. But after all, it makes the game way more intense than the other call of duty campaigns and it really feels like you are living the life of the soldier you'reI like this game.     This a is a game this is a frictional story, everyone knows that Russian soldiers don't kill kids and hang people. The Highway of Death was done by the Americans, France, Canada and the UK the details were changed to conform to the story i'm sure the devs know what forces did it.     Infinity Ward did really well with this one, the combat system is really well-made, a new engine that changed everything. Despite some flaws like Survival exclusive to PS4. Im scrolling through these reviews and see little kids complaining about the dynamic maps because they are used to the 3 lane bullshįt. I also see a lot Russians complaining about the way the game portrays them and i will say. The Russians are evil in the game but only the ones being terrorists.     Очень понравилась кампания, русских показали такими, какие они есть на самом деле. Разочаровало то, что кампания очень короткая прошел за часов 5 и не заметил. Мультиплеер та еще рулетка, все зависит от сетевого кода. Режим спецопераций больше понравился чем нет, но опять же надо играть только с командой друзей, а не с рандомами. Режим Выживания, разумеется не оценил, и за это ActivisionОчень понравилась кампания, русских показали такими, какие они есть на самом деле.     3.7 really? This is the best cod I have played since mw2. Great gameplay no running on walls thank god, great gun upgrade system. I have put in over 5 days total and have really enjoyed this game. It is also a large title spec ops, single player and multi-player. Would recommend this title for sure but PLEASE BOYCOTT THE MICROTRANSACTIONS. If people quit firkin buying add on and micro3.7 really? This is the best cod I have played since mw2. Don't buy the game if you don't like the story line. Cry a river over a game's story. If you can handle the fake story, buy this game, It's worth the price.     Great game, best COD since MW3! No idea why the rating is so low from users. Campaign is very good, could be a little longer. Multiplayer is fun, wish the maps were a little better, and there was more maps. All in all this game is very good, 9/10

    Best CoD in years. It's about time they used a new engine. First time in 14 years I believe. I love the game but never quite been a fan of infinity wards map designs. This game has some of their worst ever. It's a shame how they can get so much right and drop the ball at map design. It's definitely the buggiest cod ever to release too. Cod is usually on point with game stability.

    A very high attention to detail that I have never seen in previous Call of Duty installments. The campaign is a breath of fresh air from all the futuristic storylines, and multiplayer stays fun and competitive with cross play!

    The game gets one point for the campaign. The acting is mostly good, especially Price. It pushes nostalgia buttons. It makes me yearn for the first time that the name ‘Makarov’ is mentioned, likely coming in the next game. However, the campaign represents 1% of gameplay by time for most buyers.
    The second point is because it is technically sound (at least on PC, I know XBONE players have had trouble). Regardless, the game looks great, sounds great, and the gun handling is as good as ever. The motion cap is excellent (because they used people who actually know how to handle firearms) as is the attention to detail in Gunsmith (though I wish that they licensed items that are depicted like Magpul, Aimpoint, EOTech, Accuracy Int’l, Sig, Glock, etc.)

    Spec Ops is a joke. It’s an afterthought that is comprised solely of recycled assets from a BR mode that is either on hold or cancelled after Activision realized that BR is dying and that this game can’t be just another BR COD.

    The multiplayer, which is the meat of why most buy COD, is simply the worst I have played since COD Ghosts. IW stated that they wanted to allow “less skilled” players to be able to better compete. In effect, what they did is create a game where anyone who tries to move around even cautiously is punished severely.
    - M-4/725 meta: This is likely just a launch problem, but these guns are basically the only viable weapons at the moment. With such a short TTK, you simply cannot compete with people who are using these guns if you are using something even slightly inferior. The idea of going into a game with an inferior loadout to just “have fun” or “try stuff out” is not an option except for the best players in the game.
    - Footsteps are the loudest I have ever heard in a game. In a way, they are a technical marvel, because I feel like I can see through walls with my ears. It’s uncanny at times. But this means that even crouch walking around results in you being soundwhored by people who are camped and hardscoping the door you’re about to come through. Because of this, Ghost is a required perk in slot 2, because you simply cannot afford to show up on UAV while you’re camping.
    - Netcode often results in single-frame deaths or the perception that you were killed by someone you couldn’t see yet.
    - The spawns are astoundingly resistant to flipping, even in Domination when a team holds a triple cap. This means that Domination usually results in a spawn trap within the first 50 points of a game, with no opportunity for comebacks by most teams. Maps such as Piccadilly and Euphrates are especially susceptible to this.
    All of these issues can and likely will be fixed or at least adjusted in future patches. There are two problems that I believe are fundamentally wrong with the game that will not ever be fixed:
    - The maps are designed for Window Warfare. The massive array of angles and verticality again means that anyone who tries to run and gun will always be cut down by those who are camping windows even after the footstep volume and camping issues are solved. The existing maps will NEVER be changed, and the first one or two drops of DLC maps are probably already beyond the point of no return in development at this point. Domination is especially hurt by this design. I have never played a COD game where B will often stay uncapped for the first 3+ minutes of a game. It’s because players post up and hardscope the flag, waiting to rip the face off the first poor bastard to even think of wandering near it.
    - The largely unacknowledged Skill Based Matchmaking means that you have to sweat hard to play the game. You cannot play casually. Because of this, you must use the meta guns all the time because you cannot afford to give up any advantage to the players you are matched against. Always competing exactly at your skill level sounds good on paper, but it makes the game extremely fatiguing to play since you can never just sit back and relax. In a number of other shooting games, my friends and I will easily play for 5-6+ hours at a time, but we find this game so fatiguing and unfun to play that we rarely play for more than an hour or so before we want to take a break or lose interest altogether. Even when we win, we still feel that the game simply isn’t fun to play most of the time.
    I’ll follow the development for a few months to see how aggressively IW will correct these problems. It seems highly likely that old fan favorite maps from previous MW games are coming as DLC, and they will further scratch the nostalgia itch. But I will 100% not play this game in 2020 if the meta isn’t adjusted to make all play styles viable.    … Expand

    New year, Same CoD. Seems like they could of done a better job copying Battlefield. Customer Support is a joke as usual. Kinda upset I fell for it again. Activision ruined the Call of Duty franchise at this point.

    It’s not a perfect game by any stretch. The guns are unbalanced and the maps are pretty horrible. But the core gun play and mechanics are slick but weighty. The recoil is intense but manageable getting rid of laser like SMGs and LMGs. The snipers and marksmen rifles have a satisfying pop to them. There’s a learning curve here that’s been missing in recent call of duty titles in my opinion.It’s not a perfect game by any stretch. The guns are unbalanced and the maps are pretty horrible. But the core gun play and mechanics are slick but weighty. The recoil is intense but manageable getting rid of laser like SMGs and LMGs. The snipers and marksmen rifles have a satisfying pop to them. There’s a learning curve here that’s been missing in recent call of duty titles in my opinion. The weapon modification makes you more versatile than ever.     Campaign is amazing, one of the best I have played for a cod game.

    Multiplayer is a mess and the Devs should be **** ashamed to release this like of crap. Want something that looks cool, gotta pay more money. Camera angles are broken as hell. Hit detection does not work you shoot first shore more hits and die anyway. Spec ops is just lazy and again a broken **** mess.

    The way IW is doing SBMM is never, and I say again NEVER going to work out. My team is always bad just because my KDR is above 1.0 and even force me to miss shots just because I had too many kills. The SJW of video games. Whoever came up with these map designs should be fired ASAP.

Nearly all players are camping because the maps reward this behaviour. They are mostly slow and boring matches.     Terrible game on Xbox Series X and PS5.

    Audio stutter, problems with data files not being installed after an update, and even if you have all the data files installed according to the game, it still claims some are missing.     Also, the terrible decision to share things with the other recent COD files like Vanguard, Black Ops and Warzone, means that good luck figuring out which guns in your collection can be used in which game.     Since there doesn't seem to be an incentive to fix these bugs seeing as some of them has been in the game from day one, it was essentially released as abandonware from day one.

    I have mixed feelings about Modern Warfare. On one hand, it finally improved the graphics, has the best gunplay in the series, and a very good campaign. On the other hand, the gameplay is ruined by horribly designed maps, bland colors/locations, and a very short TTK which leads to the most campers I've ever seen before. It does also have a solid BR though but once again, the depressingI have mixed feelings about Modern Warfare. On one hand, it finally improved the graphics, has the best gunplay in the series, and a very good campaign. On the other hand, the gameplay is ruined by horribly designed maps, bland colors/locations, and a very short TTK which leads to the most campers I've ever seen before. There are a lot of cheap deaths where you know you shot 1st or you get shot in the back. The footsteps are like concrete blocks on surfaces but the enemies are not usually where you think they are and...bang. You're dead.

    Basically if you are a very competitive gamer with little patience who doesn't camp with claymores, you may wanna skip this one for the sake of your mental health.    … Expand

    I wish I loved the game, but i don't. Been a fan of Cod since the first Call of Duty games. The maps are pretty boring, too big. It's all about riot shields, RPG, shotguns and sniping. The only good thing is Warzone and it's one map (Shoot House). Singleplayer is all right. Nothing special. It's like playing Call of Duty Ghosts all over again. I just wish I loved it. I had hopes

    Despite the hefty install size and awful way of downloading it, this reboot is a good one. The campaign is nothing like the original. It's more of a survival action game with an involving story. Think "Spec Ops: The Line" with plenty of cutscenes. Graphically, the game is very impressive. The co-op missions and multiplayer modes are great fun. Overall, I would rate this with an 8 out of 10.

Unfortunately, Cold War has since fallen well behind modern warfare’s shadow. While not every COD will be the same going forward, I truly hope that they learn from how amazing modern warfare is.

    Crossplay is both a welcomed introduction and cursed one. On one hand, it’s awesome to play with friends regardless of their system and it makes for more populated games. On the other hand, it clearly highlights how disadvantaged console players are to PC players. Mouse and keyboard will forever be easier/quicker than a controller. I currently own this on PlayStation and Xbox. I will state that for some reason, the game runs smoother on a PS4 pro than an Xbox one X. COD was great when we frowned on players that use cheap tactics to win and modded controllers but now everyone defends these things and says just adpt and get good. No one likes playing against ppl with all the BS accessories you can use. To put it this way if this game was football how many ppl would hate football and stop watching if some quarterbacks could use glue and spikes on their shoes? No one would watch and everyone would be pissed but since it is a game ppl say its no big deal and still the same ppl that say its no big deal are the ones that are using cheap tactics and sweating their *** off saying its a sport. Well which is it? If it's sport don't allow dropshots and halo jump spamming and scuffs in the game and set rules and guidelines that must be followed or frowned upon like any other sport. If it's not a sport then stop being a tryhard to make every kill as cheap and unfair as you can. It's this logic that has ruined the game that no one talks about. COD was good because most ppl played for fun and was sportsmans about the game and frowned on being dirty(like camping and laying down in BO1 was very frowned upon and even bannable). I'm not arguing with some kid that wants to number crunch and weasel his stance for scuffs and halo jumping and drop shotting to win. If it is not cheap then why is it so controversial and not everyone can agree upon whats right or wrong? A simple fix is too just ban these ppl and implement rules that can be followed by everyone and not just an up in the air debate. COD needs rules of what you can and can't use and do. (simple) This would make it clear of what's right and wrong and gives everyone a fair game. I'm just saying if ppl are getting so ridiculous that not one match can be fun because everyone is being cheap and tryharding every match and want to treat the game like a sport then we need rules and better guidelines to follow or ppl need to have fun and stop tryharding.     Я вспомнил свои эмоции, когда я играл в Ghost Recon Wildlands. Я там стрелял в боливийцев и вообще ни разу не воспринимал их как настоящую армию, понимал, что это игра и фикция. Там кстати эту игру забанили.

And a big no no for me is, that the game lacks good mp maps. Almost none of the maps are fun to play. Rather to get controle on them. I was watching a few Streamer aswell, havin the same Problems.

    This game could be such a treasure, if its not that broken.
    Things they REALLY need to change:
    - Netcode (For real! Sometimes u hit enemys 3 meters away with 5 hitmarkers and get a 25 assist)
    - more maps! The map design of the ones right now is hated by many ppl
    - Gun reworks
    - Making dead silence a perk since this game is a campfest which is no fun at all (Most of the time the timer runs out before u get to the score limit)
    -Fixing a lot of graphic and other issues

    What is good about this game:
    - The weapons look good at are powerfull
    - the sound engine is very good
    - no kid skins (atleast for now) for weapons and other stuff. U need to work for the camo u want (oldschool)
    . daily missions
    - good killstreaks and good killstreak system
    -graphics (might be for some ppl a thing, i play on lowest anyway)
    - The loadout options

    I hope they will change something.. cause i really want to have fun playing this game.. but 80% of the time its torture.    … Expand

Multiplayer camp fest, zero online achievements, not even for lvl 55 like other cod games, no incentive to play online with zero achievements to earn. The death sound when dying from a headshot or knife is terribly loud. It sounds like a cannon going off in real life. It’s so loud it makes me want to just not play.

    As for the multiplayer, fantastic! nearly every map is an enjoyable map, with great layouts. There are multiple new game modes, such as Ground War, and Gun fight, which are very unique and fun experiences within the COD franchise. Each weapon has it's checks and balances (except the 725, which is being fixed at the moment) which means the weapon you choose is all just personal preference, there is no real best gun in the game. The absence of specialist abilities and jet-pack suits is also welcome by me!

    All in all, this is an amazing game, and the best game I have played in a long, long time.    … Expand

    I give it a one, the campaign is pretty good but that's all I can say about the game as online features have never worked since purchase. Solutions for the issue do not have any effect, and no other games I play are affected

    The game over experience is fun, I like that it wasn’t covered in loot stuff and currency bs. I felt it fin like the original cod 4. I do dislike the never ending campers in multiplayer mode, but that every COD game. Story is good, I enjoyed it. Graphics and audio is awesome! Try it out for yourself and don’t listen to the haters with no life.

    Honestly one of the best call of duty games in recent years, though some big things do keep this game from being possibly one of the best in the entire franchise. The multiplayer has some serious issues.     I loved the campaign and I like how the story continues in spec ops while I do miss the old style of spec ops missions what they did is more challenging and a welcome change. While the multiplayer can be annoying it is still enjoyable I feel like most people blame the game for the actions of the players.

The cutscenes are beautiful and you see some well known dudes again (trailer). The only negative is that with 5 1/2 hours the game is very short on the singleplayer part.     Multiplayer

    I really like most of the maps but they have one bad touch to it, camping. Some lobbies are really bad camping lobbies and u need to get out of them quickly or you fight the camping players.
    Also the game comes with an hidden mmr system, which connects you with players around your skill level, with that it also throws you after a Game in a new lobby.

    There is no noob stomping or getting stomped, its mostly challenging lobbies now in the same levels of skill. All of that is a good feature but it nearly destroys the party function with friends with different skill levels. They are better then you get stomped a lot or if you are better then your friends get stomped to much. The Enjoyment of the Games can be very low if the party is not on an near level of skill.

    Other than that i really like the weapons, skills and upgrades and the big battlefield like mode.

    Other than PVP you can play PVE too in some horde like side missions, with special quests to do.

    Its one of the better CoD out there and got me back into it, my last Game was Ghosts.    … Expand

    Best call of duty ever. Weapon personalization is the best ever. Sounds are great. Campain is like a movie. Crossplay is great.

    Although the game plays well, It is hard to overcome the ridiculous amount of lies and propaganda that Modern Warfare‘s campaign tries to instill upon players. The war crimes depicted were not only carried out in real life by MIDDLE EASTERN countries, but also by America itself! Research the Highway of Death- a horrible crime committed by America, but put on the Russians in this game,Although the game plays well, It is hard to overcome the ridiculous amount of lies and propaganda that Modern Warfare‘s campaign tries to instill upon players. The war crimes depicted were not only carried out in real life by MIDDLE EASTERN countries, but also by America itself! They game is mostly full of non campers but its a shooter game it definatly will have some campers. The game has a bit of a learning curve in the fact that you cant go rush in guns a blazing you have to run up to a piller sometimes and peak the corner.     Great game and if you actually follow truth and not some eastern Slavic alternative reality based lies from followers of a height challenged despot hell bent on recovering something they never had until 2016, you’ll find the game to be entertaining. Bring it on tvarish, Patton was correct about mother Russia, should’ve finished her off decades ago.

    Campanha muito realista e meche muito com o emocional e psicológico de quem está jogando pois é necessário tomar decisões difíceis e rápidas.
    multiplayer para o Brasil lançou com muito lag injogavel, depois arrumaram, o estilo mudou muito de gameplay, se você quiser sair correndo por ai cuidado com campers    em minha opnião o melhor cod desde o modern warfare 2, não gostei do black ops 2.

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare serves up the freshest take on a stale formula in years, with a new engine and revitalised multiplayer mode that takes full advantage of a finely-tuned weapon customisation system and some welcome changes to ballistic mechanics. While Spec Ops fails to deliver much long-term attraction, the story mode proves there’s plenty of justification for a narrative element in a modern shooter. Free maps and updates bring everyone onto the same page in multiplayer, but Infinity Ward's take on the battle pass template still needs some work.

    If you don’t mind being killed by the odd nuke – how anyone can score 30 consecutive kills is beyond our tiny minds – PvP could swallow your damn life. Pair it with a gutsy (if insensitive) campaign, and this tonally conflicted series continues to stay relevant thanks to the best guns in the biz. [Issue#184, p.68]
