    Just another check cashing space filler. The “campaign” is short, forgettable and formulaic. The multiplayer is the same as ever if you liked it 5 years ago you will like it now but 60 bucks for more of the same sucks. Should have gone with my gut and passed on this. Now that I read all the Russian trolls I thought about upping my rating. I didn’t, but thought about it. Still a lameJust another check cashing space filler.     Dont listen to most of the bad reviews. Its a video game. A modern one. It can have the russians as bad guys. They game is mostly full of non campers but its a shooter game it definatly will have some campers. The game has a bit of a learning curve in the fact that you cant go rush in guns a blazing you have to run up to a piller sometimes and peak the corner.     Honestly I do not know where to even begin...

    I’ve been playing call of duty since CoD 2 days and have played every iteration in between with thousands and thousands of hours gaming time... there have been ups and down along the way but Modern Warfare is a nail in the coffin as far as I’m concerned.

    This game is cancer, there is little I like about it bare the movement mechanics and graphics....

    The story mode is painfully slow paced and boring, dimly lit and far too tactical to really have much fun... you have to sweat even in campaign mode LOL.

    But that’s not even 1% of what is wrong with this **** show. The online experience is nothing short of a brain aneurism.

    I genuinely find myself having to psych myself up mentally before I even switch the game on at this point... I tell myself to just try and have fun don’t focus on the bull**** just run and gun, rush a flew b flags, try and at least have some fun but no.

    Between the SBMM and the awful hit detection and stupid TTK, awful map design, **** spawns and glitchy audio you just can’t enjoy it.

    I somehow have 2 days play time which I find hard to believe as I can’t even go 2 to 3 matches without having to turn the game off due to the anger it makes me feel. No CoD has ever made me this stressed to play.

    Not to mention the fact the battle pass is wack and the latest update somehow wiped all my CoD Points id collected which in normal circumstances would have really pissed me off however I couldn’t really care less on this game because I’m never going to play it long enough to warant saving cod points for skins or weapons etc.

    The game was already cancer before the latest update however they’ve decided to slap the old school cod lovers in the face again by ruining two perfectly good maps, vacant isn’t too bad apart from the new safe space outside and the fact they moved the position of the bins near the old jump shot so the only way to get a line of site down the long corridor is to climb the bin below the window and inevitably get killed before you even make it half way.

    But SHIPMENT... seriously don’t get me started on shipment... just play a game for yourself I don’t even have the energy to write out everything that’s wrong with that map... just utter **** The worst spawns in FPS history by a country mile.

    There’s literally maybe 2-3 half decent online maps the rest are actual crap...

    The game is seriously not right, not to mention that in recent days it takes me upwards of 10 minutes to find a full lobby without players backing out because we have no choice of map or ability to vote so when we get one of the **** maps which statistically is about 80% chance then everyone backs out and you fail to even start a game which creates stress before you even get into the game which causes heart attack levels of stress LOL!

    Why does every single game go to the time limit? A 10 v 10 and the maps are so big that after the game ends the top player might be lucky to have 15 kills that’s like 1 kill per minute some games unless you spawn trap and can avoid being killed by the countless campers this games pace has created.

    I’m honestly about to uninstall the game and not even consider redownloading until massive changes are made because at this stage the game is unplayable for a serious player. I average a 3.0 KD or thereabouts across all the other games yet this game I can barely keep a 1.5 because of the SBMM... every game I play feels like an MLG sweat fest World Series final with millions on the line, every player on both teams is sweating heavily and we’re all of a good quality so it’s barely even possible to do well most games you and the rest of the lobby will scrape just above or below a 1.0 KD... that is not fun IW... we are casual gamers who want to have fun after a stressful day at work or school for the younger generation and this game is literally a mental health hazard it gives me migraines and can literally ruin my whole night because of how badly it annoys me that my favourite game franchise is going down the ****ter. I could go on for hours but if anybody actually takes the time to read this before buying just don’t... it’s not worth the stress and anger plus the money it will cost you.     The game came out great! I loved how everything I wanted I had to work for it! Earn it. Not pay money like almost every other game. But now after they added their greedy corporate microtransactions I've hated the game... now all the stuff everyone has worked for is inept to all the flashy new stuff that ppl can just pay for now. Before all this I would've gave this a game a perfect score.

    3.7 really? This is the best cod I have played since mw2. Great gameplay no running on walls thank god, great gun upgrade system. I have put in over 5 days total and have really enjoyed this game. It is also a large title spec ops, single player and multi-player. Would recommend this title for sure but PLEASE BOYCOTT THE MICROTRANSACTIONS. If people quit firkin buying add on and micro3.7 really? This is the best cod I have played since mw2.     Although the game plays well, It is hard to overcome the ridiculous amount of lies and propaganda that Modern Warfare‘s campaign tries to instill upon players. The war crimes depicted were not only carried out in real life by MIDDLE EASTERN countries, but also by America itself!     I loved the campaign and I like how the story continues in spec ops while I do miss the old style of spec ops missions what they did is more challenging and a welcome change. While the multiplayer can be annoying it is still enjoyable I feel like most people blame the game for the actions of the players.

    The game over experience is fun, I like that it wasn’t covered in loot stuff and currency bs. I felt it fin like the original cod 4. I do dislike the never ending campers in multiplayer mode, but that every COD game. Story is good, I enjoyed it. Graphics and audio is awesome! Try it out for yourself and don’t listen to the haters with no life.

    I paid $99 for them steelbok special edition. Played it starting with early access. Enjoyed the single player campaign, and multiplayer was pretty good. Got to level 144 before season one made me start back at 55. What do you get for playing the hell out of the game? Go back to being enlisted level 55 and nobody would know that I almost leveled out at 155 except for a few minorI paid $99 for them steelbok special edition. Played it starting with early access.     I would have given a much higher rating if they hadn't killed every good thing about multiplayer in the latest updates. They have ruined stealth completely, somehow made spawning and camping ten times worse. Guns that didn't need to be nerfed have been nerfed

    Terrible game. We wanted a new version of COD4 not a terrible, slow, campy version of Black Ops 4 with bad netcode and twenty-five unrealistic killstreaks. I was actually looking forward to this game, until I played it. I put two days into this game, but I just uninstalled it and won't be back. I will never buy another COD game again.

    Best CoD in years. It's about time they used a new engine. First time in 14 years I believe. I love the game but never quite been a fan of infinity wards map designs. This game has some of their worst ever. It's a shame how they can get so much right and drop the ball at map design. It's definitely the buggiest cod ever to release too. Cod is usually on point with game stability.

It's fantastic to see the franchise coming back strong with a great solid storyline for the campaign full of action and some great co-op missions that gives the public a modern up to date combat system not to futuristic that we can relate to and enjoy .The game mecanics are smooth and the shooting sounds are amazing very realistic once again .The mainCall Of Duty: Modern Warfare... It's fantastic to see the franchise coming back strong with a great solid storyline for the campaign full of action and some great co-op missions that gives the public a modern up to date combat system not to futuristic that we can relate to and enjoy .The game mecanics are smooth and the shooting sounds are amazing very realistic once again .The main interest is the mutliplayer that perfoms well with great graphics and new fun options to upgrade and customize your weapons and special daily online missions to unlock awesome camo sets etc. The downfall will have to be the lack of diversity in the maps that are lacking if u ask me lets hope they release smaller maps fast with more potential and finally the claymores and shotguns that take so much fun out of the game because of the way they are used in multiplayer and sadly the people that camp using them. My note will be a solid come back for the cod franchise and very promising for the future content for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare on the Xbox One.… Expand

    The game looks visually stunning, the sound is immersive & awesome. People who complain about camping ect need to try different game modes to find something that suits them. For example the 2v2 mode is run & gun. I like the kill streaks for example the chopper looks cool flying around the map.    … Expand

    This game is for children, it marketed itself as a gritty first person mature experience. At the end of the day it’s the same old Call of Duty experience. The absolute last one I will buy, very disappointed in my purchase.

    That aside, I highly enjoy this game! The campaign was an enjoyable, and fun, but also dark, and disturbing. This campaign has some of the best storytelling of any COD game to date, and some very dynamic characters, with real motives for why they do what they do. 10/10

    As for the multiplayer, fantastic! nearly every map is an enjoyable map, with great layouts. There are multiple new game modes, such as Ground War, and Gun fight, which are very unique and fun experiences within the COD franchise. Each weapon has it's checks and balances (except the 725, which is being fixed at the moment) which means the weapon you choose is all just personal preference, there is no real best gun in the game. The absence of specialist abilities and jet-pack suits is also welcome by me!

    All in all, this is an amazing game, and the best game I have played in a long, long time.    … Expand

Played to lvl 100 multiplayer,They had the opportunity to make this game different, and improve it. It started with slow gameplay where you had to think about what you are doing.     Single player good graphics, forgettable story. Multiplayer camp fest, zero online achievements, not even for lvl 55 like other cod games, no incentive to play online with zero achievements to earn. The death sound when dying from a headshot or knife is terribly loud. It sounds like a cannon going off in real life. It’s so loud it makes me want to just not play.

If you've never been very good at COD or you're getting older you will probably be in the same boat. It's a punishing game and will test your patience every time you die. There are a lot of cheap deaths where you know you shot 1st or you get shot in the back. The footsteps are like concrete blocks on surfaces but the enemies are not usually where you think they are and...bang. You're dead.

    Basically if you are a very competitive gamer with little patience who doesn't camp with claymores, you may wanna skip this one for the sake of your mental health.    … Expand

The recoil is intense but manageable getting rid of laser like SMGs and LMGs. The snipers and marksmen rifles have a satisfying pop to them. Developers are trying to hide the game's ugliness in the dark (80% of the game is taking place at night or in dark buildings), but it isn't working. Also, there isn't any music playing on most levels. What the hell Activision?

    And, yeah, Infinity Ward also lied about "grey morale": all Russian soldiers are evil in the sake of being evil. They are killing civilians, women and children without any reasons or logic behind their actions. If you are trying to make an interesting enemy — at least give them SOME motivation or ideology. Even Nazis in the COD: WW2 wasn't such monsters as Russians in new COD: MW. The Americans and British soldiers, in contrast, are heroes that even in the "torture" episode aren't actually torturing anyone. You can't even shot the terrorist's wife in the leg to make him talk — the game won't allow you to. Because Americans never tortured any terrorists in Guantanamo or Iraqi prisons, of course. Or 'cause USA and UK are the most important markets for COD games. It isn't the game about the dark side of war as they promised. It isn't a fun shooting gallery as previous COD games. It's the stupidest, tasteless propaganda I've seen in my entire life. Activision is trying to be provoking, but they don't have balls to do it properly. For example, we all understand that this fictional Urzikstan country is meant to represent Syria, but devs are afraid to say it out loud.

    If you don't give a ..ck about the singleplayer campaign — I have bad news for you, 'cause multiplayer sucks too. It's trying to be the COD, Battlefield and Counter-Strike at the same time... and it fails to be anything. It's too laggy, unpolished and unplayable.

    Modern Warfare (2019) is the worst part of Call of Duty. Actually, it's the worst shooter I've played in years. And it's one more disappointment in a neverending chain of disappointments from modern Activision-Blizzard.     This years release/remake of COD MW is two different games in one. The campaign is very engaging and I loved the story. Great set pieces reminded me of films like Zero Dark Thirty and 13 Hours. This did a great job of providing a modern setting with lots of realistic gameplay and not over the top action like past COD titles. While the single-player is great the multiplayer is just ok.     Call of Duty: Modern Warfare serves up the freshest take on a stale formula in years, with a new engine and revitalised multiplayer mode that takes full advantage of a finely-tuned weapon customisation system and some welcome changes to ballistic mechanics. While Spec Ops fails to deliver much long-term attraction, the story mode proves there’s plenty of justification for a narrative element in a modern shooter. Free maps and updates bring everyone onto the same page in multiplayer, but Infinity Ward's take on the battle pass template still needs some work.

    If you don’t mind being killed by the odd nuke – how anyone can score 30 consecutive kills is beyond our tiny minds – PvP could swallow your damn life. Pair it with a gutsy (if insensitive) campaign, and this tonally conflicted series continues to stay relevant thanks to the best guns in the biz. [Issue#184, p.68]
