Basically the same modern warfare you remember, but this time with better graphics and some added maps and weapons to the multiplayer. However this game is still great 9 years later.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered is a glorifying example of what a true remaster truly can be. A fun short single player campaign that, while aged, is still blast to play through. This game is the best call of duty game I've played since Black ops 2 great remake of one of the greatest call of duty games ever made and although it isn't a carbon copy of the original, the new features that they have added make the game so much better

What is there to say? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the greatest first person shooters of all time! Unforgettable campaign, intense multiplayer with a great progression system, all with UPDDATED graphics. It may be kind of crappy that you have to buy Infinite Warfare to enjoy this, but that's a great game too. Get it this holiday while its on sale and enjoy what Infinity WardWhat is there to say? I never really got into playing FPS games for the story content. Name an FPS game that had a MP version and a SP version, and I've probably played it.

MW1 and 3 are my personal favorites of the series, and its nice to see them redone. The thing I live for is MP games, and MW1 and 3 had incredible HUGE depth to them, in spite of some game idiosyncrasies. I could never pin down how to

The thing I live for is MP games, and MW1 and 3 had incredible HUGE depth to them, in spite of some game idiosyncrasies. I could never pin down how to build my classes and they'd always change. I had the sapper class, detect emplaced explosives and blow them up, use RPGs to clear out rooms or shoot down helis, or hit deadspace foxholes, the machine gunner class which I LOVED going 30-1 k/d with, having a competent team close the net and funnel respawns and live opposing team members into kill zones, the field engineer, setting up explosive traps or other helpful tools while controlling flanks with any old assault rifle, etc ad infinitum.

I could've played the original MW1 and MW3 for another 5 years each MP if the lobbies hadn't gone to hell.

Raven Software's 2016 remaster of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is one of the very best HD ports. Like in Capcom's HD version of "Resident Evil", graphics have been considerably spruced up to resemble today's current-gen titles. Subtle changes have also been made to the campaign, while multiplayer has been updated with modern FPS tropes such as supply drops. Subtle changes have also been made to the campaign, while multiplayer has been updated with modern FPS tropes such as supply drops. Gamers who have played recent COD titles, but have never experienced COD 4 are in for a surprise. The pace is slower than most recent FPS games due to the lack of jetpacks or any kind of futuristic gear. I would even say multiplayer in "Modern Warfare" is more comparable to "Counter Strike" than to any game in the "Black Ops" series.

I have to mention that the Tom Clancy-esque story mode in MW is one of the best campaigns in any FPS. While it now feels slightly dated, it is still a masterclass in level design. In this remaster, both the lighting and audio have been amplified to solid effect. And unlike the original game, a few modifiers have been included (they need to be unlocked) to keep the replayability factor high. Long time fans of "Call of Duty 4" should appreciate these new additions and improvements to the story mode. As far as the multiplayer is concerned, it has been left mainly untouched. You can now unlock more gun paints and badges than ever before. However, the genre has rapidly evolved in the past 9 years, so what was once groundbreaking is now less impressive. Certain players may feel underwhelmed with the online play.

Overall though, "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is still a classic and this remaster is a very good one. So if you're a fan of "Titanfall" or "Battlefield 4", but have yet to play COD 4, then make sure to play this version. The original set the template for modern day shooters and this update adds a nice graphical polish and some new multiplayer options. I'd rate it with an 8.3 out of 10.

This was my first Modern Warfare game ever played and I actually enjoyed it. Actually feels like boot-to-the-ground game and felt real like I was actually in war. Has really good graphics and quality and was fun to play. I'll maybe try MW2 and 3 someday.

So nice Remake, with the same maps, guns, and gameplay. The most important the multiplayer are adictive, fun and satisfactive. The looks boxes are a good incentive to still playing to unlock news camos or embles with tokens. Highly recomended for the old fans from CoD franchise.

i hate how Call of Duty Infinite Warfare was advertised in this game..

This game is still okay... It's not better than the original released back in 2007 (obviously).

But it's mainly because they added more things to this, and it wasn't necessary.

Even after ten years the campaign is as engrossing as ever while the multiplayer focuses on classic gun battles on huge maps. Unfortunately this is not yet available as a stand-alone.

Infinity Ward's seminal Call of Duty gets the revamp it deserves; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered gives the 2007 shooter a new lease of life, enabling newcomers to see what all the fuss was about and veterans the chance to relive a classic. The best Call of Duty game just got even better.

The campaign is still just as epic as before. The multiplayer is tremendous and offers a whole different challenge to its sibling, Infinite Warfare, with a much different way of approaching the game and your tactics inside it. And it looks terrific, especially if you look at it nine years ago first.
