WHY IS THIS ON NEXT-GEN? It has no purpose. Not only that, its also a crappy game anyways, making this "Next-Gen" version WORSE. I would at least give the Last-Gen version a 5.

Call of Duty Ghosts is probably the worst COD yet. I was not impressed enough with the "next-gen" claims on the graphics. The worst part of all is the voice acting. I was irritated every time the character Elias who is played by Stephan Lang voice would be herd. He makes a horrible narrator and the overall his voice acting just sounded so pompous. The other reason why I am giving this game a low 6 is that the game play did not suck me in as the previous COD's. I just wanted to finish the game already so I wouldn't waste my 60 bucks.

This game would have been a lot better if it had better voice acting and improved graphics.

You can add new maps and try to spice it up but it's just one boring game now. I think I have had more fun playing Monopoly on Xbox 360 then COD Ghost. Incredibly dissapointing game. The only good thing in this game is the campaign mode which I slightly enjoyed.
The multiplayer used to be the best part of the Call Of Duty franchise, but in this game it is utter garbage. You take 3 bullets and you're dead. What happened to the tactical Call Of Duty that we all knew and loved?

You really can't be that tactical in this game. Once someone sees you, you're dead. That's it.
Also, this game is pretty much pay to win. They are selling this rifle called the 'Maverick' and it just kills people within nanoseconds of pulling the trigger.
The only reason critics are saying that this game is good because they're either being paid (IGN) or they only care about the graphics. I really couldn't care less about the graphics if the gameplay is brilliant but that simply is just not the case here.
A disgraceful game. I will not be recommending this game to anyone. I regret buying this garbage.

this game is ok. in multiplayer there are alot of s##ty killstreaks and it is annoying when people kill you with overpowered weapons. Extinction is kinda fun with friend but not random f##kheads who teabag you when your bleeding out. Campain is well not good but not bad at most. This is why I gave this a $hitty score of 5.

Multiplayer. I really really hate this now. I used to like the multiplayer, it used to be decent but now it's horrible. The spawn points are very stupid. In Free for All when you die you spawn right next to someone and just die??? Or you get shot by a sniper who is sitting at the top of a building waiting for someone to come by. Melee is stronger than bullets?

This game was a huge letdown and we all knew that it was going to be one. Not worth the money at all.

Compared to other COD games, this game is garbage. The maps are entirely to big, the colors are to drab and everything looks the same making it difficult to see who you are shooting at, the guns are forgettable (except maybe the tac 12), the spawns are ridiculous. Otherwise the story was really bland. Online matchmaking wasn't terrible but the variety of maps seemed very limited unless you decided to fork out more money to buy their mappacks.

Call of Duty: Ghosts offers nothing new to the increasingly homogenized modern warfare shooter genre that is the standard for today. Played Modern Warfare 2? Good. You do not need to play Ghosts. I'm going to break it down into 3 subjects: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Extinction.

Campaign: Absolutely pathetic. The setting jumps around the world every mission with no reason or cohesion.

You start out in Outer Space. Bing! Now you're in San Diego. Bing! Now you're in South America. Bing! Now you're in the Antarctic Ocean. Bing! You're back in space. The story is about 2 brothers and their dad, belonging to an elite commando unit called the Ghosts. I don't remember any of their names because that's how poor the characters are. The campaign is shallow, and meaningless. Don't bother
Multiplayer: They really tried with this one. Ghosts follows the same twitch shooter mechanics as its predecessors have. Unfortunately, many of the components such as Perks, Gun Attachments, and kill-streaks are unnecessarily complex and confusing. you unlock things through an equally confusing currency system, akin to Black Ops 1. This Xbone version suffers from framerate drops on some of the maps, and it just looks ugly. I can only recommend this if you REALLY love Call of Duty. If you don't, you'll be fine playing Modern Warfare or Black Ops.
Extinction: It's a pretty cool idea, but like the multiplayer, it is overly complex when it doesn't need to be. People love Nazi Zombies because it is only as complex as it needs to be. You can delve into the more complex stuff if you want, but if you just want to blast some zombies, you can do that too. However, Extinction also has its own economy relying on points, and there are weird objectives and strange objects in the environment that don't need to exist. It's a shame, really. Extinction is fun for a bit, but lacks the lasting value of Nazi Zombies.

In conclusion: This is NOT the next-gen call of duty experience. It is simply a mediocre game at best. I only recommend it if you find it at the bottom of the bargain bin at Best Buy.

Call of Duty: Ghost keeps with most of what you would expect, delivering a solid campaign and the same Multiplayer component the series is know for, as for the campaign it's easily the weakest, now that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad considering how strong the campaign's of previous instalments are, suffering from weak voice acting from some of the actors and at times a poorly written script. Graphicly the series is at it's weakest, barley holding up to it's Next-Gen counter part, showing the need for a truly Next-Gen games engine from Activision, the textures and facial animations are laughable Current-Gen, though the lighting and water effects were impressive. Multiplayer is the same COD experience you always expect and adds little to the current formula the series is know for, as of now the series is in dire need of innovation and if the next instalment doesn't hint to any, I'm afraid the series may lose it's crown to the every evolving Battlefield series. In its 10th anniversary, Call of Duty doesn't get a proper birthday party. Instead, the creators made a mediocre game to launch with the new generation.

The story, for the first time, didn't get my attention. The main villains have no motivations to be evil. They hate the USA, wants to kill everyone and that's it. The evil country this time is Venezuela, most specifically, the whole South America turns against the "real" America. The enemies, just like the whole story, is badly introduced and developed. The message of the game is clear: "don't mess with the US. If you mess with us, we'll **** you up".
They even tried to add a familiar lace to the plot, which doesn't work, since the main character is, once again, a mute character with no face or personality whatsoever. The ending gives away a possible sequel hint, which is very courageous of Ghosts, since the game didn't get a good reception.
Plus, one of the only female characters in the whole franchise dies within 2 minutes of her appearance.

The multiplayer also seems out of order. Sometimes, you die with 2, 5 or more shots. The guns and customization system doesn't work properly, and it bores you quickly.

Lastly, Extinction mode is a Infinity Ward recreation of the popular Zombie Mode made by Treyarch. It is fun, but it doesn't reach the level of Treyarch.

To sum it up, even in its 10th birthday, Call of Duty didn't seem to care about a decent game. The result is a mediocre game disguised as a blockbuster. If Advanced Warfare doesn't add anything new to the series, Activision shall bury Call of Duty, just like they did with Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a mess of a game. That’s not to say that it’s nonfunctional or bad to play, rather, it loses sight of its core principles and eschews an amazing opportunity with the advent of our transition to next-gen, as well as being the first true IW CoD sans Zampella and West, through poorly constructed (and utilised) tech, half-assed delivery of modes and a single-player campaign that sets the series back more than a few years.
