The amount of trolls that haven't even played this, yet post a 0 is pathetic.

That is why the "user reviews" section of meta-critic is now a joke- especially given a big series which attracts either so much love or so much hate. At leas the critic reviews give a better overview of a game.

This has been the first COD game I have played since the original on PC many years ago and I loved it. Without the history most other reviewers have with the series, its easy for me to say I found it refreshing, I am now hooked.

People need to stop giving it such bad scores, it's a good game... 7.5-8 in reality. So much trollin' going on about graphics too, I bet you won't tell when playing PS4 vs. Xbox One. I have both and not sure which to get yet, mainly based on what friends get it for.

This game is great and people are giving it bad reviews because they're simply bad at it. Many people argue that its the same game and there is nothing new? Well welcome to a series, if it's broke don't fix it?
The visuals on its game are fantastic; however it isn't in 1080p i'd rather play steady at 60fps on the X1 at 720p than have my frame rate dropping on the ps4.

A whole new system has been manufactured with the ability to "unlock" certain toons, the use squad points which are earned through various objectives.

The single players system was fun, but a little short lived. I am not going to ding the review for this, this game is made for one thing. MULTIPLAYER!

I do not think that this game deserves a 10, but I need to balance it out. This game is Call Of Duty, if you liked the other games, you'll like Ghosts. If you didn't like the other games, shut your whore mouth and go complain to EA about the same old Madden, the same old Fifa, or complain to 2K about the same old NBA.

The campaign story was very interesting and I was genuinely interested in how it would end.Multiplayer is great as usual and the gameplay is super smooth. If you love first person shooters you will love CoD.

Overall, the mechanics of the game are what you expect from COD. The addition of clan wars and squads bring something for every type of player and skill base. Extinction is very well done and a refreshing change from zombies. Don't get me wrong, I loved zombies but the theme is getting kind of old. If not for the maps, I would have easily given this a 10. So many people complain about call of duty's graphics compared to battlefield 4. well heres the thing i was delightfully surprised by COD's graphics and disappointed by battlefields. Not saying COD had better but i was expecting less from COD and the world from battlefield and when battlefield couldn't meet the task it was disappointing and when you are in space on call of duty its absolutely beautiful. Because call of duty is such a well rounded game this year I'm giving it a 9/10 no its not perfect but i enjoyed all parts of it where in battlefield the multiplayer wasn't perfect and the single player was far far from it. Only reason why I didn't give them a 10 is due to the fact that Demolition and Headquarters wasn't included in the multiplayer game modes- shame on Infinity Ward/Activision for that critical mistake.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The internet has a metaphorical stick up its butt when it comes to COD, but hating on this game, Ghosts, because it's part of a series (one of the most successful) is illogical. I don't understand how a gamer could rate this game below a 6 if they are honest and unbiased with themselves and the game itself.

Campaign: The campaign, although relatively formulaic, linear, and standard for an FPS, was entertaining, thrilling, and at moments breath-taking. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but Infinity-Ward delivered in some key moments. *SPOILERS AHEAD* There were several memorable parts where I was legitimately surprised at what was happening on screen, most notably was the level where you're in a city in a valley and a dam is destroyed to flood you out. You can watch the missiles hit the dam, destroy it over a mile away and watch the water rush into the city towards you, if you don't move off the main street, you can literally watch the water approach until you get washed away. Later in the level you are crouching below the surface of a flooded city and stealth killing soldiers from underneath. The stealth mission inside the Federation capital is also awesome. And the KEM strikes which decimate LA in the first mission were also pretty jaw-dropping.

Multi-player: If you don't enjoy twitch-reaction arcade shooters, then this game isn't for you. But as far as twitch-reaction shooters go, this is the best one out there. The game is fair and very well-balanced. There is a counter for every single set up. Is the other team running 4 snipers? There's a whole new class of semi-auto weapons "Marksman Rifles" that have quicker ADS (Aim Down Sight) times and higher rates of fire than snipers, which if used correctly, can flush snipers out of any area. The Support kill-streak reward system allows for beginners to play a more supportive/conservative role and yet still offer significant benefits to your team in any gametype because your streak persists after death.

The maps are generally larger than COD maps have been in the past, especially Black Ops 2. This is opens up the field of loadouts that you see people running. AR's are the "go-to" guns, but they can be out-classed by SMG's, if the SMG's stick to corners and stay out of long sight lines, and snipers and marksman rifles, if you stay at range and hold down choke points and critical regions of the maps. Shotguns seem to be serve few functions except on the smaller maps, (which I personally have no problem with). The spawn logic also seems to have a few issues. You may notice getting killed and then spawning very near to the player who just killed you.

Overall, the game is very fair and balanced, and rewards teamwork and communication very well, as it should. You might see a person "go-off" in a TDM game and think Ghosts and COD is all lone-wolf, but that is definitely not the case.

Graphics: The graphics are excellent (I've played the 360 and Xbone versions). The detail and design in the levels is superb, and the lighting effects in the Xbone version are awesome. The surfaces and textures do not react to light as well as would be liked, but they are still visually appealing. It's not the best looking game, and I was never jaw-droppingly "wow-ed" at the graphics, but I still consider them excellent. The visuals are overall, very consistent, and therefore allow you to "get into" the game world and almost never lose immersion.

Fun but short Campaign. Multiplayer is a lot of fun. Don't get why people give such low scores. I mean the game as a whole is great. But if it is based off of just the multiplayer then you are getting their same experience as the other cods with a few differences.

There were some bits that were really challenging, and for that I dropped a point. Honestly, some parts could have used a few fewer enemy shooters.

    Product Value: $50.00
    Cinematics: 7/10
    Narrative: 5/10
    Characters: 3/10
    Story line: 4/10

The graphics are noticeably different from any other call of duty game, being that it's on the Xbox One. The single player is very un-realistic and supplies a very rigid, easy to play feel.
The online provides some fun with very different maps and some interactive map pieces. The downside being a small variety of weapons, awful weapon/perk unlock system, and a bad squad system.
The gameplay is smooth and has decent transitioning. Making movement and shooting seem rather polished.
The replay value is low, as the story line is boring and predictable.
The game is not worth $60.00 due to the poor story line, but more so $50.00 due to the new Extinction mode and a decent online.
As a call of duty, the game is meant to be cinematic, but the lack of effort to create cinematics (such as using the same scenes from old call of duty's), and the predictability of the cinematics, deducts a few points.
The game isn't very narrative, and is more so a listen and shoot, rather than a co-operate and understand.
The characters aren't at all interactive, and you don't get any feel or understanding for any of them.
The story line is slow, predictable, and easy on any difficulty.

*SPOILER* The game is essentially Star Wars, as through the game, the only two other interactive characters are shot and/or killed, and then you are turned to (the dark side) to become a Ghost Hunter.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There are a ton of trolls out there.. it's ridiculous!

The campaign is actually pretty decent. It's very much like every other COD game out there, play through the campaign once on Veteran to get the full experience and challenge, then go back on Recruit to get the special achievements. On veteran, this was actually much easier than previous COD games. Why? Because the GRAPHICS are so much better on next-gen that you can actually see those hidden enemies that are blasting you away. I know what you're thinking, native 1080p res, blah blah blah. Just shut up and acknowledge that the game looks better than it ever has, and stop trying to nitpick. A solid experience you'd expect from COD.

The multiplayer is more of the same, except now it's a strange combination of using a point system (squad points) and leveling up to unlock some things' availability. Personally, I bought it for multiplayer like most people, but I don't have any intention of putting the same time into it (since I'm not in college anymore lol). I just wanted a game to pick up casually when I actually have time, and this is perfect for that.

Squads is a actually a cool feature, but a bit hokey in my opinion. You can play your squad members in multiplayer to level them up and while playing squads, the higher level members actually do perform better in terms of kills, not running up the middle, etc. So basically, the AI is ranked along with the character rank. Cool, yes, but I don't expect to spend much time here.

Extinction is the best game mode on here. I had a lot of fun with it. Much like zombies, but not as confusing and impossible to figure out how to beat (without the internet!). The only problem is that it's very much based on teamwork, and it gets MUCH more challenging as you level up. I only came close to beating it twice (died trying to escape!) and now I'm "prestige" so the likelihood of finding a skilled team is so low, I'm afraid I just won't ever see the ending. I have juggled with the idea of buying the season pass just for the new extinction games.

Overall, exactly what you're expecting from next-gen COD. Is the franchise getting stale? Yes, Is it still fun? Yes. For now. Which is why I still recommend it with an 8/10.

With that in mind the game seemed fine to me. I wanted a game I could play with others at my house and this is it. A good shoot em up game that I can just mess around with friend's on the same couch. It looked great on my 1080p TV (46 inches so I would easily be able to tell if it didn't). Even split screen works fine.

If you are looking to get something new and original out of the CoD franchise, you should take a step back and look at your life :D . But not having bought the last 4 games, this one is fine by me.

A game review shouldn't be affected by the previous games being released, or it being like the previous ones. This is a separate game, and if it were the only Call of Duty out it would be considered a good game. Nothing smashing or out of the ordinary but a good 7/8 out of 10.

The multiplayer is the controversial part, which makes or breaks this game. The gameplay is not particularly well balanced, and it is quick to annoy players as a result. The map design varies, but is mostly acceptable. There is a generous selection of weapons to choose from, as well as an advanced soldier customization system. There has been positive changes to the create-a-class and perk systems, and fun new unlocks and challenges to complete, which do add to the game.
On Xbox One, the servers are absolutely great, and lag is nowhere to be found. If you want to play Call of Duty, this is the platform that you need. Extremely underrated. And I like it that way. The best hit detection, DLC, Perk system and Zombies alternative in Call of Duty history. If BO2 didnt have connection issues it would be slightly better than Ghosts. I had a great experience with this game. Second favorite CoD of all time.

Still, with every "been there, done that" moment you'll find, there's the unshakable notion that this is the Call of Duty that we've known for years reaching its absolute peak. The multiplayer is perhaps the most balanced and well thought out of the franchise. The levels are some of the best, and largest in number & variety, ever conceived. The customization is so much deeper than ever before. However, as a launch title for all next-generation platforms, Call of Duty doesn't really earn the moniker "next-gen". As Infinity Ward's Executive Producer Mark Rubin let on to in a recent interview, the true next-gen CoD experience is still to come. Lets hope that Ghosts is the pinnacle of what was and that what is to come is every bit as glorious as CoD4: Modern Warfare was when it hit our now previous-generation consoles. Expand

It offers no increase in scale, no new vehicular combat, an obviously-dated graphics engine that barely offers HD content (in 720p), inconsistent connectivity (at times anyways), and another campaign and story that try to be big and apocalyptic yet feel a bit ho-hum. Lets face it, Modern Warfare and MW2 were the pinnacle of Call of Duty. Since then, it's been the same game trading releases between two development studios. Perhaps it's time to get some fresh blood in the house. I heard that this game was a bit rushed and that IW didn't have time to properly drop a next-gen title for launch. If that's so, there may be hope for this franchise. Again, not a criticism but merely an observation. Nothing wrong with liking art house films AND big budget FX films. Same is true for gaming and while this game breaks nothing in the way of new ground it's still good fun. I haven't played through the entire single player campaign yet (I have a life) but so for it's typical over-the-top bordering on science fiction story telling that can't be taken too seriously. The graphics are amazing, the game play is typical "run down the hall and shoot everything in front of you" stuff. Haven't tried MP yet because obviously there are not a lot of people out there yet and I've only had my One for a few days now and have 5 other titles I wanted to try out. Call of Duty: Ghost keeps with most of what you would expect, delivering a solid campaign and the same Multiplayer component the series is know for, as for the campaign it's easily the weakest, now that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad considering how strong the campaign's of previous instalments are, suffering from weak voice acting from some of the actors and at times a poorly written script. Graphicly the series is at it's weakest, barley holding up to it's Next-Gen counter part, showing the need for a truly Next-Gen games engine from Activision, the textures and facial animations are laughable Current-Gen, though the lighting and water effects were impressive. Multiplayer is the same COD experience you always expect and adds little to the current formula the series is know for, as of now the series is in dire need of innovation and if the next instalment doesn't hint to any, I'm afraid the series may lose it's crown to the every evolving Battlefield series. I won't go into the story but if I was the writer, I wouldn't put it on my resume. It's decent but I expected more from a working "writer". I was also surprised by how narrow and linear the actual campaign was. Instead of taking a cue from Treyarch's Blops 2 and adding some choice and more "open" evironments, many of the levels literally feel like you're walking through a hallway, even when your outdoors. I know the series is known for scripted moments, but this one feels like the first scripted campaign, from start to finish. Its not a bad campaign, it's actually enjoyable has some cool set piece moments, it just feels too constrained and controlled. There's a lot of areas where I would think "Ooh, I'll hop over this log and... ah, invisible wall". It has a lot of rehashed moments and ideas from previous CoD games as well. It's not bad, but it doesn't take the series forward. At all.

I haven't played CoD multiplayer since MW2 (a regular hack-fest) and from the few rounds I tried here, it didn't seem terribly different. I honestly don't know or care when it comes to this game mode, run and gun, grind for leaderboard positions that don't mean anything.

Ghosts has several co-op options that are fun, my only complaint being that you always start with a pistol and have to grab better weapons. It's a variation on zombies (especially Extinction) and I'd prefer weapon unlocks, but that's just me. Its fun and fast and CoD-ish. You can also play offline and solo in any mode if you are so inclined.

The graphics are actually really good considering the engine these games run on. Granted, CoD is playing catchup in the graphical department, but overall this game is a big step forward for the series visuals.

As an Xbox One owner, my shooter choices right now are CoD Ghosts, BF4 and Titanfall (I'm not counting PvZ, sorry), and seeing as how this game offers more that one mode, online and off, it allows me to play what I want, how I want. It's not a next gen game, its a current gen game on a next gen console. Btw, I enjoyed the CoD dev talking excitedly about how CoD now has normal mapped bricks lol. That technology's only been around since Gears 1. Maybe earlier. Anyways, for a One owner, this is a better choice with more content for the money. In my opinion. Nothing exceptional, but at least it has some options

This is a Multiplayer Review. Call of Duty: Ghosts is unique in its own way but very similar in terms of gameplay like its predecessors. I personally did not appreciate how this game has retained plenty of similarities that could possibly be changed to make this game stand out from the rest of the franchise. I'll start out with basic Multiplayer Gameplay.

Just as expected, gameplay hasn't changed to much since the other Call of Duty games. New game modes add for a variety of different play styles. I personally love Search and Rescue but hate Search and Destroy. It is this kind of example that I am talking about that making a small change to a game can make it enjoyable for others. I will admit, the only reason I bought this game was to mess around with the new "Create a Soldier" customization. It is by far, the best customization gimmick I've seen in the Call of Duty franchise, adding a whole new way to play. Ranging from aggressive rushing, to camping and to capping objectives in Domination. Call of Duty isn't only about its gameplay but also about how you set up your loadouts to play with a tactical advantage. 90% of the guns are well balanced. I will let you know that those who use the Vector sub-machine gun may have a considerable advantage against you, as its killing range is lethal to a degree where it may as well be considered an Assault Rifle.

We all know that Graphics can make for a more appealing game but they aren't completely necessary. Call of Duty: Ghosts plays at 720p on the Xbox One as opposed to 1080p on the Playstation 4, but don't let that stop you from purchasing this game for the Xbox One. You will not improve your playstyle at all by switching to a console that has better resolution. More importantly, enjoy the game for the content it contains rather than the graphics it came with. If you're a graphic junkie, please purchase a desktop (and not a laptop) to play this game on. Otherwise, read on.

If you ever end up getting pissed off or annoyed with the game, do NOT blame the content or any problems you think the game might have. Remember, you are playing MULTIPLAYER and players can and will annoy you with their strategies. My suggestion: If you get killed in a very ridiculous way but don't know why, please take the time to watch the kill cam instead of feeling humiliated that you got killed by someone who is having a day. You may be surprised at how lucky they might be. I will admit, some people play to seriously but you pay to play and that's what you get. Better enjoy the best parts!

Would I recommend you purchase this game? Yes, but I do suggest you buy a used copy to save a little money since it is Call of Duty after all. Not much has changed but it's significant enough to at least be worth 35$.

The only thing about online that I don't like about online is that there are micro transactions. They're mostly cosmetic but you need to pay extra money to have ten custom class slots on your person. Yes, you're only given six, unlike past Call of Duties. The other mode, "Extinction," is basically Infinity Ward's version of Treyarch's zombies, except they use aliens. This mode is nothing special: just survive waves of aliens, it's meh. The things I really do enjoy about this game are the visuals and the environment. Multilayer... silky smooth graphics and 60 fps does go down ever so well. Decent maps, invariably there are a couple of stinkers, Siege in particular, but also a few beauties like Octane. I think the character customisation was over played here, somewhat disappointed by it with limited options especially in the early stages. No theatre mode is also a thumbs down. Ranking up also takes forever and a day and is a little frustrating too. The graphics are great, but by no means the best of the best. Best call of duty ever? No. But saying that, this game has been beaten up badly by reviewers and this is undeserved. Don't expect to stay alive very long until you have your wits about you, without question the quickest time to die from the last 4 COD's in Multilayer. Spawning is a bit all over the place at times too.

One of the biggest and most noticable improvements is that I have expereinced almost no lag and I don't think I've ever had trouble getting into a lobby once, which cannot be said of my BF4 experience so far. The pick ten system is back and does seem to work really well. Nicely balance and nothing is extremely overpowered in my opinion but there certainly some guns that handle better than others. The field orders offer a nice little twist to game play however these devil-some blue briefcases are somewhat watched by the casual camper or sniper so are fraught with danger in collection them on occasion. The stand out diamond in the crown is the map Stonehaven, it looks amazing, however in terms of playing it is sometimes becomes a needle in the haystack looking for someone to kill or being frustratingly being sniped from the back of beyond. The game play itself is incredibly smooth and beautiful to play. It really is great.

There is work to be done here though, this game has brought little to none innovation if you dismiss squads and extinction. But having said all of this, it's a must have purchase for the FPS genre.

I do feel that the series is starting to feel a little stagnant, a few new weapons and some new maps do not warrant a new game, these could be added to one of the previous games as DLC. Instead of just rehashing the same game every year please just expand the previous versions with new content. Alternatively bring us something new, how about a Call of Duty game based on the Vietnam War, or even the First World War? How about updating the game engine so that environments can be damaged after taking fire? Why not add some more interesting long term multiplayer game types instead of the novelty modes added in Ghosts.

I understand the story element of the Call of Duty games is important to some people but the story line in Ghosts feels rushed and tacked on. It can easily be completed on the hardest difficulty setting in one day so doest really add much to the package. The story lines in the older Call of Duty games had some substance, it seems now the developers simply do not put in the time when it comes to the single player campaign.

I do however like the new co-op mode which is similar to the Zombies mode in Black Ops. Extinction put you and your team in the middle of an Alien invasion where your goal is to survive as long as you can. This mode can be be great fun and offers a little variety in what is ultimately quite a dull package.

If you are a fan of Call of Duty then you will enjoy Ghosts for a while but you will find yourself getting bored very quickly. There is simply not enough that is different from the previous games. It feels like the series has turned from one of the best series of games available in to a stagnant but guaranteed yearly income for the developers.

If you own any other COD game then you simply will not get anything new out of Ghosts.

It offers a lot to do with the campaign, multiplayer, squads and extinction as well as a horde of game modes within each hub. The graphics are good and the new player animations are great. I like the new weapons and i love the new create a soldier. The fact that they allowed gender to be picked by the user is a thumb up to the often overlooked female gamer too.

The game runs smooth as silk on the Xbox one with no noticeable lag or framerate issues. Just to note that i have played the 360 version which suffered both of those issues among others.

But as we all know the CoD series is primarily focused on multiplayer, a mode which is usually done so well. I mean a few people grabbing guns, running around a map and knocking the snot out of each other, how bad could that be messed with? Apparently pretty bad; most maps are oversized for a 6-6 battle, making you lost and lonely for the entirety or simple sniper fodder. Some of the killstreaks are overpowered (dogs anyone?) but the single biggest error, the biggest gamebreaker is the spawning. To die in multiplayer and respawn on the opposite side of the map from your allies with enemy guns already tracking you is not fun nor is having an enemy you (or anyone else for that matter) just vanquished spawn behind you. Its made especially worse if both problems happen together and they will. Repeatedly.

I want to love this game and with a little more polish and thought from IW, it could be salvaged. Its still addictive enough to play but frustrating enough to break controllers and make live party friends deaf. All in all underwhelming.

Call of Duty: Ghosts offers nothing new to the increasingly homogenized modern warfare shooter genre that is the standard for today. Played Modern Warfare 2? Good. You do not need to play Ghosts. I'm going to break it down into 3 subjects: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Extinction.

Campaign: Absolutely pathetic. The setting jumps around the world every mission with no reason or cohesion.

You start out in Outer Space. Bing! Now you're in San Diego. Bing! Now you're in South America. Bing! Now you're in the Antarctic Ocean. Bing! You're back in space. The story is about 2 brothers and their dad, belonging to an elite commando unit called the Ghosts. I don't remember any of their names because that's how poor the characters are. The campaign is shallow, and meaningless. Don't bother
Multiplayer: They really tried with this one. Ghosts follows the same twitch shooter mechanics as its predecessors have. Unfortunately, many of the components such as Perks, Gun Attachments, and kill-streaks are unnecessarily complex and confusing. you unlock things through an equally confusing currency system, akin to Black Ops 1. This Xbone version suffers from framerate drops on some of the maps, and it just looks ugly. I can only recommend this if you REALLY love Call of Duty. If you don't, you'll be fine playing Modern Warfare or Black Ops.
Extinction: It's a pretty cool idea, but like the multiplayer, it is overly complex when it doesn't need to be. People love Nazi Zombies because it is only as complex as it needs to be. You can delve into the more complex stuff if you want, but if you just want to blast some zombies, you can do that too. However, Extinction also has its own economy relying on points, and there are weird objectives and strange objects in the environment that don't need to exist. It's a shame, really. Extinction is fun for a bit, but lacks the lasting value of Nazi Zombies.

In conclusion: This is NOT the next-gen call of duty experience. It is simply a mediocre game at best. I only recommend it if you find it at the bottom of the bargain bin at Best Buy.

Now for what Ghosts did do right. The game continues to feature pretty fluid gameplay and still mostly adheres to the same formula that gamers have been loving for years, and it still is pretty fun to play.

Overall, CoD: Ghosts is still a fun, run n' gun arcade shooter like any other Call of Duty game. Unfortunately, Infinity Ward overhyped the game by calling a few minor tweaks innovation. While Ghosts will still have pretty massive sale numbers, Infinity Ward is going to have to make some real changes to freshen CoD's stale formula or else this series as a whole won't be around for much longer.

The story, for the first time, didn't get my attention. The main villains have no motivations to be evil. They hate the USA, wants to kill everyone and that's it. The evil country this time is Venezuela, most specifically, the whole South America turns against the "real" America. The enemies, just like the whole story, is badly introduced and developed. The message of the game is clear: "don't mess with the US. If you mess with us, we'll **** you up".
They even tried to add a familiar lace to the plot, which doesn't work, since the main character is, once again, a mute character with no face or personality whatsoever. The ending gives away a possible sequel hint, which is very courageous of Ghosts, since the game didn't get a good reception.
Plus, one of the only female characters in the whole franchise dies within 2 minutes of her appearance.

The multiplayer also seems out of order. Sometimes, you die with 2, 5 or more shots. The guns and customization system doesn't work properly, and it bores you quickly.

Lastly, Extinction mode is a Infinity Ward recreation of the popular Zombie Mode made by Treyarch. It is fun, but it doesn't reach the level of Treyarch.

To sum it up, even in its 10th birthday, Call of Duty didn't seem to care about a decent game. The result is a mediocre game disguised as a blockbuster. If Advanced Warfare doesn't add anything new to the series, Activision shall bury Call of Duty, just like they did with Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk.

The mutliplayer is alright, some of the maps are a bit too large and ends up becoming a walking/running simulator for most of the time. But overall there's nothing incredibly special compared to other multiplayer modes from the previous (and future) installments.

And the new Extinction Mode (which replaced Zombies) just doesn't feel that good. Its a interesting idea to diverge from the zombies idea to something else (in this case Aliens.) But I feel like it just missed the mark overall.

No innovations at all, even the graphic is still the same as the old gen.

The enemies doesn't even got an AI and the just aim at you 99% of the time without considerating all you allies. They also know every time where you are even afer you hide and aggirate them.
No phisics at all, just scripteed dead ragdoll movements and even if you continue shooting corpse with an rpg they don't change their movements.
No reactions shooting various part of body, just headshots. We got different body points like legs, arms, weapon and chest in early 2000's with Soldier of fortune..what a shame.
All the events in game are scripted and the main campaign last less than 5hrs.
Only positive mention could be the Invasion mode similar to zombies from other COD.

Fore-note: Giving this game a 10 is like saying the earth is flat.
Giving this game a 10 based on 'trolls' is pathetic.
The 3.8 score is very accurate compared to the ridiculous 79 Metascore. Blunt Version: This game fails on ALL levels besides fish, and the Extinction mode (aka Zombies with Aliens.) The storage required game takes around 50 Gigs!!! Which OBVIOUSLY aren't used up

    Blunt Version:
This game fails on ALL levels besides fish, and the Extinction mode (aka Zombies with Aliens.)

The storage required game takes around 50 Gigs!!!
Which OBVIOUSLY aren't used up by HD textures because those are bloody crap!

-->Don't buy this as it is broken, poor quality, and does not deserve your money.
The ONLY REDEEMING factor is that it is not the PC version, WHICH LAGS IN THE MENU! (ON A GTX TITAN!!)
-This game is basically Righteous Slaughter from GTA
STICK TO BO2! WHICH AT LEAST TRIED!
    In-Depth:

    -Engine
The 'new' 19 year old quake based engine is hardly the next-gen experience.
This game's are sub-par for a next-gen, and could be found in the original Crysis, it's basically a sharper CoD 4 MW.
With a 50GB install, CoD Ghost left me wondering what all that storage was being used for..
I have yet to find out as the textures aren't any where close being a culprit, the only other option is OP-underused-overhyped-killer-mecha-dog, Riley and his side kicks the dynamic-super-AI-fish. Seriously though, 50?
-It also can't be the sounds, which are the same recycled pea shooter sounds from CoD4 MW2 3

    -Campaign
Don't expect a work of art, actually expect the complete opposite.

In, CoD Ghost you play as a burly white dude along side his burly white dude brother and army, under the command of his burly white father. (ALL of whom are Flat characters.) Serious there was like 3 minorities, only 1 of whom was a 'Ghost'. But lets talk about them, the Ghosts. The Ghosts where meant to be stealthy super burly white dudes with the budget of a specs op team.
HOWEVER! The game insists on being just like the previous. As you run about amok shooting from the hip like a chicken with its head cut off next to a tank, all the while doing crazy ass ****
Its like they go out of their way to make it bad!
What I'm trying to say is that the Single Player experience is utter TRASH and has some many holes swish cheese is more consistent.

-The multiplayer is basically around 16 players stuffed in a closet with mini-guns. ****
    Dynamic maps? Yeah no.
    Kill Streaks? NOW WITH DOG!
Guns? sure! how does fictional guns based off of real life weapons but are renamed to save cash (like they needed to!)
Frame Rate? As consistent as a completely wasted guy doing the 'walk the line' test.
Maps? Same maps with a different look. (Not lying, some maps have the exact same general placement of major objects.

    -Extiction
The only bright point of the game.
    -Fresh new take on Zombies.
    -Best player with friend.
-Not worth a full title purchase though.

All in all, I'd recommend waiting to see how BF4 plays out and consider that over this piece of utter scum.

Brave in places, safe in others, Ghosts will delight fans but won't sway anyone with doubts. [Jan 2014, p.74]

Infinity Ward has lost capacity, it's out of ideas. Call of Duty: Ghosts is the same blast of scripts in single-player and the conventional formula in multiplayer. That's all. Fun and addictive as always, this game is silent in your Call of Duty collection, it leaves no trace.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a mess of a game. That’s not to say that it’s nonfunctional or bad to play, rather, it loses sight of its core principles and eschews an amazing opportunity with the advent of our transition to next-gen, as well as being the first true IW CoD sans Zampella and West, through poorly constructed (and utilised) tech, half-assed delivery of modes and a single-player campaign that sets the series back more than a few years.
