    Calico on Xbox is a cat café sim where you’ll actually spend more time away from the shop than inside it – rendering the place almost useless. Fortunately, the townsfolk are nice enough to have a chinwag with and have plenty of distracting quests to provide something to do. Sadly, there’s too much back-tracking through a world that isn’t overly pleasant to look at and it’s got a fair amount of bugs.

    Having watched my young daughter engage with this game, I must say its fun. It's not a game for me! and that's fine. Build up your café by filling it with cute furniture, fun decorations, delicious pastries, and get it crammed full of animals once again. Had my 3rd grade self seen Calico, an open-world creature bistro and social association game, she would have lost her psyche. Calico accepts a tasteful and subject that is boldly, audaciously girly in the most ideal ways with a universe full of glad enchanted young ladies living in pastel hued colorful lands with soft, cotton sweet trees where a wide range of adorable creatures wander so freely like a toilet paper commercial. Yet, while Calico's idea and visuals are a joy, the shortsighted bug-ridden interactivity within hauled me kicking and shouting out of the youthful dreamland I so needed to exist in for just one day longer… My eight-year-old self would have totally adored Calico to bits, I'm most certain of that, yeah that certain. Sadly, I am not, at this point a wide-eyed look at, I'm a game commentator whose capacity to bear bugs and oversimplified ongoing interaction has worn ragged throughout the long term. However much I wish I could see Calico through the eyes of a creative adolescent, I can't. Maybe on the off chance that you are better at accepting your honest dreams, you might have the option to disregard Calico's numerous blemishes and appreciate its innovative, pixie dust-sprinkled fascinate, however I feel that the enchantment will wear ragged rapidly. All this being said the game still provides a nice price of admission so for those looking for a game of this elk, be sure to scurry over t the Xbox digital games store and give it a download today.… Expand

Calico is like someone dropped a pastel paint bomb on Animal Crossing, left out the fun parts of that game, wrecked the camera, and released it with a different title. Who thought this was OK to do? I mean, they even included the warbling "speech" to go along with the text bubbles, just like Animal Crossing. Could they possibly make it more obvious of a rip-off? I'm amazed Nintendo hasn't sued. I deleted it, immediately.… Expand
