I like Boom Ball, despite the issues with the left hand control. It did make it annoying when trying to grab that gold medal. But it’s not the most important life goal. Nice to get them, but not the end of the world. Either way, I will at least attempt to get all 55 levels complete.

If you’ve got a few pounds spare in your Xbox wallet then you could do much worse, but just don’t expect to be playing it for very long.

One to avoid, we think - though the creepy trailer, with a father and his two dead-eyed sons is worth watching. It's like something out of Twin Peaks. [Feb 2015, p.83]

There's a lot less guilt in kids playing games that get them moving.
You will be unlocking levels for your child as some are tough. Older kids will get little long term value out of this. For 3-5 year olds this is far superior to Kinect Rivals, as Rivals has a fiddly menu system to control.
Boom Balls suffers all the same issues as any other Kinect title, where it's pretty sloppy controls and luck plays a big part in hitting the balls.
