Blue Angels Aerobatic Flight Simulator may give the correct appearance for each of the planes in the squadron, but very little else has been faithfully recreated. Unrealistic handling, a lack of detail and a severe lack of content sees the whole experience provide nothing more than a couple of hours of disappointment and is a poor showing for a game tied to the official Blue Angels U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron.

Truth be told, Blue Angels is a direct port of a mobile game and plays as such.

Unfortunately Blue Angels Aerobatic Flight Simulator gets more wrong than it gets right, and anything they do get right can be forgotten quite quickly. One of the biggest problems with the game is its lack of content. There really isn’t much for you to do in the game and the stuff that it does have gets repetetive quite quickly. Whilst it has a decent amount of missions to be getting on with they are unfortunately lacking in terms of variety and each mission feels pretty much the same. There is also a lack of variety when it comes to the locations you fly in and I expected a lot more here, but all you get is each location acting and performing in the same way. They do have some variety in the game when it comes to the difficulty settings and they’ve done a good job of making each setting feel different, and if they would have added more variety in other areas like they did here then the game would have definitely been better. The controls in the game are simple and remain responsive a lot of the time, but unfortunately they do lack in terms of realism and performing stunts never satisfies you because of this. The presentation side of the game is pretty good in some ways, and I especially liked the detail they gave to the Blue Angels. Unfortunately that’s the only detail you get, but the sound design makes you forget about that somewhat at times. At the end of the day I was kinda hoping for a lot more from this game, but in the end it failed to deliver in a number areas. Don’t get me wrong I understand that they had to work to quite a low budget, but that’s no excuse when it comes to certain problems the game possesses. Fans of flying game’s may find some enjoyment here but it will only be for a brief amount of time, and when it’s all said and done I unfortunately can’t recommend Blue Angels Aerobatic Flight Simulator to you.
