Biomutant is a very beautiful game to say the least, although it does not contain a dynamic mission system, how does that work then? Well the explanation may be difficult, so let's use an example to simplify the matter:During my visit to one of the areas, the game told me that there were several things to collect in it, so I began to explore it and harvest all that my eyes fell upon it until I arrived at a candy machine, and despite the clarity of my ability to interact with it, it did not respond at all despite my many attempts so that I considered the matter a technical error and proceeded On my way, I am not surprised later that this candy machine was related to a major task that one of the characters needed, evidently if you cannot simply say that you have obtained a piece of candy in advance to simply give it to her, but you need to go back only because the game does not contain a dynamic system in this regard and Unfortunately, this matter was repeated in my play several times, even in side missions, when I was looking for a side leader in a certain area to open one of the hidden vaults, I was not surprised that he was not present at all, so it became clear later that this leader is linked to a side mission again, and believe me when I say that I have not seen a call for this decision. In any way, it only disrupts exploration for you, no more and no less. Discussing the game technically is the most conflicting stage here, although the game is beautiful in appearance, as I mentioned previously, it suffers from many technical and design bugs alike, for example, after you defeat the enemies, moving away from them a short distance will make their bodies disappear and with it the tools that are supposed to be They give it to you, and if you move away from the area in which they were a little while while fighting them, they will not only return their stairs, but they will regain the points of their lives that you have planned to waste all this time! After you finish the game, it will allow you to play New Game +, which will provide you with all the tools that you have gathered in addition to calculating all the side tasks that you have accomplished with returning the main tasks to the zero point again, which is what I see as a great thing had it not been for one troublesome and that you have to return to All the different areas that I visited again because the fast-moving areas have disappeared and I have to go to them again in order to be able to move to them. Good luck, I saved the game before I finished the last mission, which allowed me to return and continue exploring freely, there is a problem with the protective clothing as well. Sometimes, when I was preparing to enter an area containing radiation poisoning with my protective clothing, I found that the percentage of radiation protection that appears on the screen was only thirty some percent, which is pure nonsense, as I was wearing the full shield that gives me 100% protection. Fortunately, when I entered the area, I was not harmed by radiation, meaning that the clothes I was wearing were working, but the apparent rate was not correct at all. This does not mean that Biomutant is a broken or non-playable game, not at all. Although the errors inside it are not few and may become somewhat annoying, they are not enough to spill into the overall experience, in addition to the fact that many of them will be resolved with some future updates.

The age of the game here is like any open world game, and it completely depends on your completion of side tasks or not. I spent at least thirty hours in the game before completing it with the completion of many side quests, but there are still many tasks that I have not completed. To the many areas that I have not visited yet, there is no doubt that the game offers greasy content and with the team behind it consisting of only 20 people, this is an amazing achievement the dev team deserves to be proud on the whole, my experience with Biomutant has been very satisfactory and I quite enjoyed it. Despite all the negatives that need addressed in time, I still think that you should give Biomutant a chance, while it may be full of scratches, It has a gem of beauty, fun and content that will keep you busy for hours on end!. If you love open world games, be sure to head over to the Xbox digital games store and download Biomutant today! You wont be disappointed. I know I wasn't! Expand

Solid RPG with great depth in character creation and leveling. Gear and weapon crafting and modding is really well done and a lot of fun. Combat had real death as well. Traversal and exploration are very zen and chill. Really great game!

My biggest problem however is visibility. A good 3/4 of the game i couldn’t see anything. the day cycle is so fast, i can’t go 5 minutes without it being nighttime. if i fast travel during the day, it’ll be night. if i fast travel at night, it’ll still be night. and don’t get me started on the hot/cold/biohazard/radioactive/apoxia bs. the different environmental hazards are always nice, but not when they make everything a single color, and everything becomes fog. it doesn’t matter how beautiful it is if i can’t see it. What a weird and poor choice to have every character in the game have no actual dialogue and instead replace them with the same narrator voice over and over again. Not to also mention the need to have to wait for the NPC to speak in there gibberish language before the narrator starts talking and when he does start talking the narrator refers to everything with childish names. In this review I'll address the major problems from critics. The games story isn't as enticing as one would hope. I can't recall an open world game in recent memory that had a really great story. There isn't a connection to the characters throughout the game because you were just thrust into the world without much backstory. As for the narrator you'll either love or hate him but that was a design choice and I can't hate them for it. In the future I hope they can bring some famous voices to the game like Morgan Freeman or Gabriel Iglesias. The world isn't full of enemies but when you run into them that indicates a point of interest and I prefer it that way. A world full of enemies would leave you unable to compete tasks in my opinion. Speaking of tasks they are repetitive but every game has them plus they lead to more loot. In regards to the sounds of the weapons I think they're fine. It shouldn't have the weapon sounds of fallout because it's not as serious as a fallout game so goofy sounding weapons fit right in. The complaints about how combat is too easy with guns is justified but if you want to knock the game for being too easy with them then just switch to melee or magic. That'll surely raise the difficulty. I don't think enemies variety is an issue because they may be reskinned by they have been given different looks and resistances as well as elemental abilities. This game isn't prefect but it is far from terrible. There are bugs in the game but that's just an industry norm these days. Is it worth $60? It all depends on what you prefer in a game. If you like exploration with a great crafting as well as some combat sprinkled in then I would recommend picking it up today. If you prefer a more action packed open world with a good story then it's not for you. Expand

You can turn the narrator off in the audio settings. This game is a fresh take on the open world genre, and that’s something to really appreciate in this climate where everything’s a remaster or doesn’t live up to expectations. It’s obviously more geared towards young adults so if it’s a bit silly at times or there’s a bunch of hand holding I would expect that’s probably the reason. The vibrant and striking art direction doesn't overshadow a glaring poverty of engaging RPG systems and satisfying exploration.

I played Biomutant with the narrator on and welcomed his Fable-esque commentary, but didn't admire the game's script. Heavy topics like anthropogenic climate change and technological hedonism are lost in a slurry of forgettable dialogue, fetch quests, and cheeky alliterations. At its best, minor philosophical smatterings and the use of whimsical words and names tease and tickle the brain. But overall, the story is uninspired and full of daft exchanges with underwhelming characters.

I found myself motivated to explore Biomutant by its gorgeous environments and emphasis on weapon crafting. The varying biomes scattered across the sprawling map certainly entice player exploration, but the game designers didn't do a very good job guiding players to gain access to tools that make exploration truly enjoyable. For instance, Biomutant has a Breath of the Wild like glider that greatly improves traversal in game, but first the player must unlock it by completing a somewhat elusive quest called "Mirage." The quest felt counterintuitive, and I couldn't understand why the designers decided to hide such a boon to exploration behind a randomly generated side quest. Furthermore, the items needed to enter hazard zones couldn't be more tedious to obtain. But hey, at least the mounts are cute motion modifiers.

Combat is a hodgepodge of familiar formulas used by action games like Devil May Cry, and the Batman series by Rocksteady Studios. It's certainly nothing to write home about, nevertheless fun enough to keep the player leveling up. Excluding mainline boss battles, enemies approach and attack the player in a similar fashion. If it wasn't for variations in the appearance of most enemies, ie shape size and range, combat would be more repetitive than it is already. The rules of engagement and quest lines provide gameplay loops that nostalgically resemble seventh generation game design. Also, puzzles in Biomutant offer little challenge or intrigue, and feel generally child friendly.

I purchased this game in support of a small development team. Unfortunately, after much anticipation, I feel like the game's a big nothing burger. Sure, it has protein, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, sauce, etc; but with each bite I'm left asking myself, "this is it?" Biomutant is a wonderful concept, but doesn't taste nearly as good as it looks. Perhaps a sequel with better ingredients can deliver the delightfully streamlined post-apocalyptic kung-fu RPG Experiment 101 had promised.

The crafting isn’t overly cumbersome (like other games) and I thought the character design was a little strange but am enjoying playing as a giant mutant rat fighting and shooting things. One of the things that people I think are forgetting is that this game was being developed by a small 15 to 20 person team, not at massive EA undertaking. I played through all 3 Fables so this seems very familiar to me, and I actually dig the narration...you can skip most dialog if you’d rather jump ahead.

Something that may help graphics and resolution issues is turning the in game sharpness option all the way up. It’s kind of hidden in the options menu.

There are so many arpgs out there doing the same boring thing....human gun class....elf sword class, I’m really enjoying see the world from the rat eye very as a rather intelligent rodent of unusual size. I mean a giant rat fighting huge rats with guns and swords....that’s something you have to have a sense of humor about. I shall call this game VerminFable because that defines exactly what it is :)

I am about to conqur the Myriad tribe which is super in the beginning. There are no spoilers in this review. X101 delivered on there promise for a complete game and exciting experience. Most reviews state the world is empty and without action; this is false. Once I started exploring after allowing with one of the two tribes, I have ran into NPC's and battle after battle. I am playing on an Xbox One S and have had some soft and hard crashes, but I believe this to be due to my consoles age. Ark, Diablo, COD and even Fortville crash it on occasion. X10Q did have some missed opportunities with allowing voice acting over a single narrator, but he is not S annoying as most journalists and streamers make him out to be.Comvat Combat ireminds me of the Aekham series blended with Hyrule Warriors and may seem clunky in terms of the latter. The combat system forces seems to respond better to slower input over "button mashing," and can be quite regarding when you land combos right and unlock super wng-fu. The camera can be a bit if a hindrance but, the premise is you are meant to be fluid throughout combat. I think it takes just practice and finding the right rhythm per player. Glitches:  I have obtained the mexhton but cannot spawn it. I do not know if I simple have not obtained proper quest pieces, story progression or this is simply a glitch they did not foresee. The Google and Gnats spawn and work properly, although the Google needs to be leveled to enter harsher waters. I am not there yet. When you modify or craft gear it appears your bioharzard resistant stats decrease and increase as a result. I am not sure if this is a glitch or a subtle strategic mechanic. Currently, there is a glitch if you mutate your physical appearance at a bio-pool, it erases your bio-resistance which X101 has said they are working on patching. While traversing, there are times where you can get stuck in the terrain, but I have been able to jump my way out or my character slides out. Storyline: With either story arch, their are present, although it seems the revenge one currently takes a backseat it seems. The light and dark choices are severely diluted as with most games that promise a good and evil system. I honestly think only Fable did it proper IMO. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG's and even children as it is very comical throughout the game currently. I gave it a 9 out of 10 because it is very complete, because of the current glitches. This is the best release in a few years as someone who fell for AAA titles like 76, Anthem and CyberPunk. Game journalists and streamers are hating on this game way too much. Expand

The combat is fun and fluid you can chain together a number of combos which then unleashes a super Wung-Fu that is fun. Not only that you can switch between weapons on the fly so can make the combos look impressive.

The crafting in this game is probably one of the best I have played, everything you find in the vast and beautiful open world you can put together to make epic weapons and gear.

There is alot to do in the world not just story missions which for me are really fun. You have a lot of side stuff us also a huge number of places to explore. I haven't encountered any issues but that doesn't mean there are any.

This game is unique and fun to play I struggle to put the game down.

I had and issue with the narrative but that's easy to deal just turn it down in the settings and I found it much better.

I would recommend this game to anyone it's not just for kids.

I gave this a 9 as the game is fun it looks awesome its unique and for what the team have done I'm impressed.

people rating this game 9 or 10 don't know what they are talking about or they are the developers of THQ Nordic trying to rise the score of Biomutant with fake accounts. But this game cannot be saved, it's just pointless as it will be remembered as one of the worst games in history. Paying 59 bucks for this junk? No thanks, give me the refund please

Excelente juego y más aún resaltar que es un estudio pequeño que traiga un gran juego, falta algunos acabados pero esta mejor que otras compañías que vendieron humo con un exclusivo triple A que parecía un indie. Though not quite the same game, Biomutant reminds me of Zelda Breath of the Wild, and as highly regarded as that game is, I found it a very empty world with bare bones combat and minimal crafting. Biomutant offers up so much more. For example, the developers haven't just given you one mount, they've given you a huge selection, including a mech. People have slated the narration but I find it quite whimsical, along similar lines of Fable or Little Big Planet, but if one does find it grating the developers were kind enough to put a function in the game settings to tone it down. I've played so many open world games over the years and this is a good game in my eyes, far more varied and in depth than say, the recent remaster of Kingdom's of Amalur, which is currently scoring more on Metacritic, plus graphically it's far superior. La historia va bien pero nada del otro mundo porque para que exigir una obra de arte narrativa a un juego de pegar tajos, no tiene mucho sentido.

Plus some abilities turn out to be more a hindrance than a help.

For example the wing glider ability. It’s more akin to a space shuttle glide path than a plane...as in it drops too steeply. Then is the fact that it’s a pain in the ass when platforming. You can do a double jump over a gap and the game thinks you want to glide so that perfect jump onto a small platform now adds a second of glider... so that perfect landing now glides you right over the edge.

Then is the time you go to double jump up and the game thinks you want to glide downwards. Instead of having the jump button triggering the glider it would have made more sense using ANY OTHER FRICKIN’ BUTTON.

Can you tell how mad I am?

So I just deleted the game. Or should I say the 1/20th of a game repeated over and over again... badly.

Back to Subnautica for me to calm down.

    Sorry 101... your experiment failed.

Simply an incredible game to be made by so few people. It goes from less to more at all times and makes very wise decisions as soon as you delve into the video game. The narrator is the most prominent negative point but it is difficult for me to negatively assess the work of this small studio and that it has brought us an adventure of exploration that is very worthwhile.

Listening too that narrator translating is soo disgustingly the worst of the entire game.
the fact that you have too listen too all the sounds the character make (when they talk) too then wait for them too finish for the narrator too explain what they then said.
What even got wierder is that even as the character you pick you at one point talk too your own mother. AND YOU CANNOT EVEN UNDERSTAND HER!!! like COME ON!!!
if i would have played this entire game i propably would have given it like a 4 or 5 out of 10 because the game looks really good.
but also one thing thats really frustrating is that the fur in the game looks like **** and its in your face like all the time.
soo you are reminded through out every minute of gameplay and cutscenes that my god this fur looks like ****!
I don't understand why the developers made a game with this type of focus when the rest of the game looks really good.
they should have focused that the characters at least looked good before taken on the rest of the game.
problem with a game like this is that the biggest problems with the game is close too imposible too change. soo even though developers patch this game. i dont think its going too be any better...
if you look at cyberpunk. that game was fixable. just not playable. and thats a huge difference between that.
most importantly here is that this game has AAA pricing of 60$ but nothing of this game other then enviroment graphics is worth a AAA price.
The developers knew this game was a joke. because when you look the quest.. they knew they where booring.
but this game has been too long in development and they had too release it.
they simply bit more of then they could chew!
too much stuff going on in this game that should have been more simplified!
a shame because i think this game could have been really fun and popular!

37 hours played, max level 50, 1000/1000 Gamerscore, everything done and the game is a 6, AT BEST. (The only achievement that took any effort were the 20 glittermoths.)

After finishing it last night, I went through my complete quest log and scribbled down the list of fetch and collection quests. It's not an exaggeration to say it's the bulk of the game. Easily 85% of it. I could live with that if such quests meaningfully expanded the world, but they don't. The vast majority of them just lead you to a tiresome rotation puzzle that gives you a piece of random loot you've probably seen a dozen times before. They had an opportunity to use the old world items like televisions, radios, computers, and movie projectors to help tell the story of this broken, apocalyptic world and, inexplicably, did nothing with them.

The combat was lackluster and felt detached throughout. Playing as a melee Sentinel class, I was disappointed to realize that guns always beat melee weapons no matter how much you invested in strength or how much you'd mod your melee weapons. Other than the few-and-far between armored enemies, every enemy could be easily dispatched with a rifle or auto rifle and kiting them around the combat area. Crafting was a bright spot early on but then I started finding "Ultimate Meleeweapons" and "Ultimate Rangedweapons" which outclassed anything I could craft by a LARGE margin. If they started losing power, all I had to do was swap a higher level addon and it was overpowered again. Playing on Hard difficulty, almost all enemies were pushovers with exception to the Worldeaters, who were only difficult by virtue of the fact that the player has to use a scripted method of defeating them rather than our normal combat skills. Bio and Psi skills do little to no meaningful damage, and only Shroom and Freeze are worth taking for minor mob crowd control. All weapons use the exact same combo button presses. Learn one, you've learned them all.

Most damning, I felt nothing for the world or my character because the game did little to make me care. It just throws you in with an hour of exposition dump and sends you on your way. It then showers you with endless collection side quests. The tribe war was boring as nearly every outpost and fortress played out the same way every time, without fail. Plus they did nothing to really distinguish the tribes beyond a blurb about whether they were light or dark aligned.

All in all, this feels like a game that would have been an 8 about a decade ago. With the evolution of open world games over the last generation, this now feels dated and utterly devoid of meaning. Strip out all the collection and fetch quest padding, and you have a game that is, AT MOST, 10 hours -- and that's assuming you don't skip the tribe war after conquering the second tribe (yes, the game will let you fast-foward *a main story arc* after only completing two of five conquests).

It's a $20 game at most. It is the worst kind of open world checkbox padding, the kind of game that would have been at home at the tail end of the Xbox 360/PS3 generation, not at the start of the XSX/PS5 one.

    -----------

And now, the collect-a-thon list for those curious:

Old World items that reward you with crafting mats or armor (5 of each type unless noted, all are rotation puzzles): Washing machines, telephone booths, house telephones, globes, record players (3), radios, guitars, pianos, computers, televisions, movie projectors, safes, arcade cabinets, toilets, microwaves.

Old World items that reward you with slight stat boosts to strength, vitality, or agility (3 of each type, all are QTEs): Treadmills, Dumbbells, Bench Press machines.

15 Old World Noticeboards that reward you with cosmetic automation skins.

Others: 4 sundials, 13 captives, 11 bandit outposts, 14 Old World storage shelters, 6 lumen shrines, 4 aura altars, and more I’m sure I’m forgetting.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While the initial thrill of this beautiful game didn't last til the end, there is no denying it's got fun combat and tight, fluid controls that lend themselves to easy and fast sandbox exploration. The world itself is gorgeous and the furry monstrosities that populate it move naturally and aggressively. The upgrading and crafting is fully realized and very fun to get into. Feeling the dramatic improvements in your gear after investing in some upgrades is truly pleasurable. The thing about this game, though, is everything else. Structurally sound, but narratively lacking. At first, the narrative voice over of the story had a kind of Doublefine/Rare appeal that was charming. But as the main quests got completed, and the story progressed, I felt like this storytelling method kept me a few layers separated from the world and the characters within them. I never fully felt the urgency of the world dying, and it was made even more perplexing by the Ark at the end (SPOILER: Why are we leaving? Did I not save the world? Was the world going to end anyways? If so, then why did I just run around every corner of it saving the tree? What about the thousands of furry people down there with their homes and lives? It just didn't add up - saving the world for seemingly NO reason?? Did I get the bad ending? Do I care enough to go back and try to get a better one?). Also, the complaints in other reviews about too many game mechanics that never really get fleshed out are accurate. The last world-eater battle (SPOILER) takes place underwater (a realm you never get to touch again outside of this fight) with a new vehicle and everything. Would have been really cool to have access to underwater elsewhere in the world. The jet ski, the mech, and the hand (???) really have one purpose/mission each and then you don't have any reason or place to use them again. In theory this is disconcerting, but in the actual playing of the game it's just a passing strangeness. The complaints are true, but they didn't really ruin the experience for me. Just kind of perplexing. But the bottom line is that this is a well-made sandbox experience and if you're into that kind of thing, you could do a lot worse than Biomutant. It doesn't pull you in narratively or distinguish itself mechanically as well as other open-world action RPG's, but the bottom line is it's fun. Expand

I've played my share of games that deserve a 0 to 3 rating. This game is definitely not one of them. People who are complaining about graphics went into this game expecting something looking like Elder Scrolls. This game was never meant to look like that. Its a comic book style art style akin to Borderlands. Others are complaining about the narrator. This I can understand because II've played my share of games that deserve a 0 to 3 rating. This game is definitely not one of them. People who are complaining about graphics went into this game expecting something looking like Elder Scrolls. This game was never meant to look like that. Its a comic book style art style akin to Borderlands. Others are complaining about the narrator. This I can understand because I didn't understand at first, until I realized it's basically telling the tale of a Kung Fu master who saves his world. This style of story telling isn't often used in games and people are used to fleshed out NPC characters. This game focuses on the main character and NONE of the NPCs though. I found the gameplay to be on par with all open world rpg's. That being said it does get repetitive. But this doesn't make the game less fun. I can't stress enough that people going into this game expecting a visual masterpiece instead of a comic or cartoony art style are the reason for 90 percent of the low reviews. The rest are people who don't understand the style. They weren't prepared for a narrative instead of normal ARPG. Expand

Yes.. is it way too easy to accidentally sell your currently worn items to merchants so you kind of just ignore that aspect of the game? Yes. but they tried really hard to give you a content packed rpg, from weapon parts, to armour parts to find across this world.. tons and tons.. and tons and tons.. and tons and tons.. and tons and tons of dialog… however.. none of it comes together in an enjoyable way.
Biomutant is a great idea, choose a tribe, interact with the other tribes and either switch sides or try to bring them all together… theres even a balance of lightness and darkness depending on your actions.. but this affects nothing but the ending of the game and the abilitites youre able to unlock for combat..
Combat here is alright. .you have ranged weapons as well as the possibility to make really great close ranged melee weapons.. you can really go out into this world and craft some really great stuff as you set out to take down the 4 adorable world eaters… which are this games main bosses…
But the problem with biomutant is everything in between the good parts and theres way too much of it…
its like eating a sandwhich with a meter thick dry bread.. I would wager that nearly half of my 9 and a half hours was spent sitting through this games excruciating dialog… Biomutant never wants to shut up and just let you play its game.. anytime you get anywhere heres 10 minutes of hearing blabber while your brittish grasshopper translates for you… and its all always the same thing blah blah tree of life blah blah lightness darkness blah blah revenge forgive its all so unnecessary, boring, ad just pads out the game in such a bad way.. there is never any interesting dialog here.. theres no interesting story moments or cutscenes.. it all feels like a giant waste of my time.. I just want to get back into the world and take down the world eaters… along the way youll be doing other tasks to get to the world eaters.. these tasks are all basically the same, go to this building, do some switch flipping puzzles, and catch these creatures then go take down the world eater.. all while youll run into other mamals.. taking them on with your mutant abilities that you get to choose and of course your weapons you’ve been building up.. and while actually putting in the effort to craft the best items is enjoyable.. and collecting the items and materials for the best build possible.. the actual combat here is just not satisfying.. enemies are way too spongy.. so after sitting through mountains of dialog that thankfully are skippable.. you barley get to have any fun out in its world…
Biomutant was decently enjoyable.. but overall I was pretty let down by this boring slog of a world.
At least it has a great message.. stop polluting.
    I give Biomutant a 6.5/10

Here’s the thing. The game is god awful for the first 4 hours. I almost quit playing. Then gradually things start to come together. If you like open world games, you will like this as well. The battle system is ok, nothing great. The open world was nice and I like the mission structure. If the game was $40 and it started off strong, this would be an 8 or 9.

Very fun and relaxing game, much better than the big reviews make out. Looks and runs amazing on my Xbox Series X. The only downside is the fact it only has about three voice actors and the narrator's voice soon gets boring as he voices nearly everyone, luckily you can reduce the amount of times he speaks.

A really fun game to pass time .. from the character customization to the crafting system it’s almost limitless possibilities while crafting .. menus and perks and skills are very simplistic and easy to navigate Gameplay fast and fun .. overall I am really enjoying it .. others may feel differently to each their own .. biomutant does have some minor quirks with combat at times and some repetitive missions but over all it’s solid . I Have not encountered any game breaking bugs or any issues in my play through everything has been solid ,the characters that I’ve encountered are unique and you definitely won’t be forgetting any of them !, a lot of them are just tooo funny one guy even looked like he belongs in the 1950s with his leather coat and pompadour hair cut sounding like a ferret/beaver looking Elvis haha Expand

300 reais nesse jogo é uma fortuna, não vale a pena, só valeria se entrasse day one na game pass. Muito hype para muita bosta!

Absolutely mediocre in everything. Graphics are garbage, gameplay is just copy paste of all the other rpgs. Story telling is plain and ordinary. I just feel like giving up on it. I wish I could refund this, but atleast I am happy I bought a used copy from Ebay, and didn't pay the full retail price. Anyone thinking of buying this on full price, don't waste your time and money on this garbage

The game was very fun for me throughout my entire time playing it. The combat was clunky at first but I got used to it and ended up enjoying it in the end. The game is just a good rpg with choices, loot, and a big world to explore.

Biomutant is not the game I was expecting and left a lot to be desired.
Part of me appreciates the creative design, the wonderfully vibrant world and the endless hours getting lost exploring and looting. But unfortunately, not even a cute critter, adorable clothes or fun vehicles can save Biomutant from itself. The execution is lacking, the direction is flawed and the overall experience

But unfortunately, not even a cute critter, adorable clothes or fun vehicles can save Biomutant from itself. The execution is lacking, the direction is flawed and the overall experience feels misguided. It's janky, broken, gets old fast, has barely any captivating story to engage you, combat doesn't work well at all and the damn narrator detracts from the whole game. Basic RPG elements like quests, builds, diaolgue, plot and progression just fail to work. It has its own charm at times and is a wonderful time-wasting experience that could have made for a creative new IP but in the end, fails at being cohesive in its design and execution. Peace Out;-) Expand

After a slow introduction the world of Biomutant is spectacular in its scenery, quirky yet philosophical feel, and plethora of quests and loot. An outstanding effort from such a small team!

Biomutant is a game that works technically well and sounds fantastic on paper, but in reality, it has nothing interesting to offer to the open world adventure genre.

As beautiful as the world of Biomutant looks, so ugly is its filling. Cringe-inducing dialogues, a completely negligible story and bad boss fights and puzzles almost distract you from the fun aspects of the game. Exploring and figuring out the unique game world and a nice sense of progression for example.

Biomutant has been conceived to awaken great loves in the public, but it will not conquer everyone equally. His personal way of presenting himself and posing his gaming experience is a break from the more classic format and feels like an evolution of the old PS2 and Xbox games.
