    I feel like the reviews of Battletoads have not done it justice and very much enjoyed the game although the controls were hard to get used to.

    I got it in anticipation to play it with my dad, who lives a couple states away. So learning that it doesnt have online co-op was a huge letdown, but I kept and played it anyways. It continued to be a letdown.

    I like the art style, it's very TMNT and I can get behind that. The music is great, too. The humor in it really isnt for me, but I see the appeal. The self-awareness of it was worse than Borderlands. All of the characters, except for maybe the Dark Queen, were really dumb and annoying, with dumb and annoying character quirks. Not dumb and annoying in a "so bad it's good," way, but just plain bad. The minigames were kinda cute, but got old extremely fast, and the motorcycle levels were also cute, but beyond frustrating.

    I feel like the gameplay kinda sucked, though. It never grabbed me, and I cant tell if it was from it being too complex or if it was just that I wasn't invested enough to enjoy it. The controls are straight up bad, especially on an Xbox controller. I got softlocked 5 times, 2 of those being in the last mountain-climb level. You have to restart the entire mission to un-softlock, you can't just return to the most recent checkpoint. That was extremely frustrating. I feel like it tried too hard to be a funny kid's cartoon, and didnt try much to be a classic beat-em-up game. "But hey, at least it's on gamepass." I dont like GP, so I shelled out the $20 for this. It took me 2hr 45min to beat, which is sadly 45 minutes outside of the refund period.    … Expand

    For the biggest hyped game of the year, this battle is over before it even begins. With no online co-op, you are basically stuck with a single player game most people paid for because of nostalgia. Sadly most will forget this extremely forgettable game. It suffers from a grim reminder that games of the past shouldn't be remade completely new.     The game loses most of it's charm for being an endless puncher. One of the charms of the original was the difficulty in getting through it. This one suffers from an anemic combat system that get repetitive in the first few minutes. This game would have been better now being remade for today consoles.    … Expand

    Otro juego con las notas boicoteadas por la comunidad de PlayStation, como siempre rabiosos y comportandose como críos. Otro juego vapuleado a ceros por ser de Microsoft/Xbox y la prensa y YouTubers q hablan de ello cuando es de PlayStation callados.
    El juego me ha gustado mucho, sinceramente quiero otra entrega cuanto antes, divertido y para mí la estética acertada.

    Simplesmente uma experiência excelente, todo o gameplay frenético me fez querer cada vez mais jogar o jogo, que simplesmente não deixa você enjoar do sistema de lutas, colocando-o para jogar outros modos que são tão divertidos quanto. Pra mim, o único motivo para não ser 10 foi pelo jogo ser pequeno .

The third act can be cut - a mediocre puzzle platformer for 7 year olds. The Beat Em Up in the game is just the beginning of the rest, goddamn it - a bunch of endless mini-games like flash crafts of the 2000s.     In my opinion the art style is very cool, the humor is innocent but fun, I loved the variety of genres, the game is capable of surprising you and the beat-em up is amazing. However, some of the minigames are not that smart in design, there is no online co-op and it is somewhat short. If you have gamepass, you should give it a try.

    El diseño en killer instinc es lo que esperábamos todos los jugadores para una consola xbox one que recuperaba una saga de la vieja escuela.

Necesitamos un scalebound o un nimja gsiden un lost planet para sentir que podemos gastar un dinero en una maquina de 12 teraflops. De lo contrario Mi camino acaba en xbox one con las consolas de micro.

    Solo, the game is a 7 or so. Playing couch cooperative, puts it up to a 9. I know some will complain about the lack of online support, but with the split second timing required to play the games more difficult sections, adding any online latency would lead to a very frustrating experience.

    Triste por ver tantas críticas negativas com a nossa zero, é como se o jogo não tivesse nada de bom, o pessoal não sabe fazer uma análise sem destilar ódio.

Venderam os Direitos de Alan Wake, cancelaram Sacalebound, e agora só fazem indies AA para o Xbox. Esse jogo é um desrespeito com quem assim como eu pagou 3 mil reais no Xbox one X. Eu queria jogos iguais aos do PlayStation: AAA de verdade de alto investimento e qualidade. Parabéns Xbox,Um verdadeiro lixo!     This game is a game for kids that almost no one would have played if it wasn't at Gamepass. If you loved the original Battletoads, skip this because the spirit is not there. It's for kids, and it's short. And the art style is awful except for kids.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Battletoads (2020) can be best summarized by two words starting with the letter F, those words are "fun" and "frustrating".

    The games biggest strengths are its dialogue, character dynamic, art style and cut scenes. Cut scenes in this game are done very well, it feels like a cartoon show. Some of humor misses the mark and is a bit cringe, but most of it is actually pretty well done, and surprisingly mature/dark at times despite the game's art-style suggesting otherwise, such as characters using the middle-finger at other characters. Of all the characters I find the most entertaining besides the Battletoads and Dark Queen, are the main villains, the Topians Uto and Pia. The game also has some decent tunes, my favorite is the theme is played Battletoads escape from Lumberjacks and Gymnasts. In regards to actual gameplay, the beat em portions are pretty good with a fair challenge (I played on normal difficulty). The animations morphs in particular are attacks are very well done. I do take issue with taunt being mapped to right analog stick though, sometimes triggered a taunt by accident, leaving me vulnerable to attack. Should've been mapped elsewhere. The environments in which you fight are also well done, my personal favorite is abandoned space amusement park. One problem I have with beat-em-up section is they sometimes have stupid hack or puzzle sections to proceed to another combat area, which kinda suck. Unfortunately, while the game is beat'em up at the core, the game could've used more levels for beat'em up action, as a good portion of game isn't just standard beat'em up fair. While variety is good, some of alternative play-styles aren't always fun or have issues. Some of these are fun alternative game segments like the Battletoads mashing buttons to perform occupational jobs, shoot- em-ups in spaceships, riding Turbobikes, using a diplomat named Jeff as a sled, and fighting off cultists in an unorthodox manner are all fun. Other modes like rebooting your spaceship, which consist of fun minigames, is brought down by a very strict timer with random layout each time you try, make it difficult to complete to the point of frustration. The platform/puzzle sections are okay, but honestly I'd would've preferred if they had not been included. The escape sequence I'm not a fan of at all, very strict time wise, and lastly, dislike the gymnast minigames. In all game modes, the difficulty can sometimes spike very quickly, which can be quite annoying at times. Sometimes I think certain parts of the game are harder as the result of playing by myself, certain segments seem like they would be fairly easy with friends. Which by the way, this has no online co-op, only local, online co-op should've been in the game.

Muito nostálgico e isso nos remeta a infância. O game tá no gamepass, baixem e joguem. Ignorem opiniões aleias e tirem vcs a suas próprias.

    Good beat'em up and very good saturday morning cartoon show. Is better to play with friends, although, the lack of online co-op kinda hurts, but even alone is a good challenge and tons of fun, the cartoon style is good and colorful, the problem is it's kinda short, but still, very fun.

When you manage to get someone to play with in your house, there is no hitting each others... which was about 60% of the fun from the og.     Presented in a great Saturday morning cartoon style, the Battletoad trio of Rash, Zitz, and Pimple have been trapped in a virtual reality hole, living out a life where they’ve been worshiped as heroes for the past 26 years. That gameplay variety has its drawbacks, though. While I loved the feeling of bouncing from one game genre to another, I found myself wishing there were more classic brawling levels. Beat-'em-up is the game's bread and butter, but comprises fewer than half of the levels. It's a much larger percentage of the actual gameplay time, though, as a fair number of minigame "levels" take just a minute or two. In the end Battletoads was a decent attempt at reviving the franchise. It's always difficult to keep fans and newcomers happy in a classic franchise such as this. It's most definitely worth at least a couple play throughs and I think there is enough here to recommend it in the end after all it is battle toads for your Xbox One.     Sinceramente este juego merece la pena, al principio no me gustaba el diseño pero luego es cuestión de adaptarse, el gameplay es muy adictivo, tiene muy buen sentido del humor, tiene mucha variedad en el gameplay y no hay caídas de frame.

    For players unfamiliar with the original: 9/10 is a good game.
    For players who played at least one of the original games - 4/10. The main complaint is a terrible visual style(good for children under 5 years old), reworked characters (the Dark Queen has become just disgusting), ugly levels.
    "Thanks" to Rare for spitting into my soul.

    giving it low rating because you only hate the platform is just sick , people need to grow up.

    I didnt leave the controller until i finished the game from start to end.

Essas partes quebraram um pouco a dinâmica e eu substituiria facilmente por mais beat'em up. Também trocaria pelo menos uma de nave e aO jogo é ABSURDAMENTE divertido e variado, além de muito difícil e com uma trilha sonora sensacional! Minha única crítica negativa vai pra alguns minigames que me entediaram (o das "olimpíadas" e o último puzzle pra consertar a nave foram um parto). Essas partes quebraram um pouco a dinâmica e eu substituiria facilmente por mais beat'em up. Também trocaria pelo menos uma de nave e a cadência entre elas e as partes de plataforma.     Funny, fun but a tad short. A pleasant surprise. Who’d have thought a Battletoads reboot would work? Very self referential and reminiscent in style to the era of Nickelodeon shows like Invader Zim, so fun for players young and old.

    Battletoad is a surprisingly Amazing reboot of the NES Beat-em-Up classic. The art style is clean and fresh, the humour is funny most of the time, most of the Minigames are fun but still a challenge at the same time. The only minus point is the time to play through the Story (about 3 hours on easiest difficulty. )

    O jogo é bom e divertido quando vc joga com seus amigos, eu joguei em Coop e gostei bastante, mas duvido que seja a mesma coisa jogando sozinho esse jogo, o que pode não acontecer com outros jogos, a trilha é bem aleatória e não combina tanto com o ambiente, no mais é um jogo mediano.

    I don't know why people hate this game, because of Dark Queen? Really? It's been 26 years, she is not that hot thing anymore)) Besides, she is not the enemy now, so there is no point to draw she like a hooker. This game is so much fun, great animations and graphics. The gameplay is so fluent and fun. I'm a fan of Battletoads and Double Dragon too. Also, cutscenes feel like cartoons, so cool.

    Возвращение жаб ждал как ничего другого. Но то во что их превратили разработчики заставляет сожалеть о еще одном бездарном перезапуске и загубленной серии. Поучитесь у авторов Streets of Rage 4, как нужно делать продолжение.

    Ao ver a arte pela primeira vez, não me interessei, na verdade fiquei decepcionado, ao lembrar do Rash no Killer Istinct. Mas quando joguei, me surpreendi. O jogo vai além de um "briga de rua", com fases de moto, que são de arrancar o cabelo de raiva, até puzzle's. Eu me diverti muito jogando, espero que mais pessoas, possam experimentar, e não julgar o game, pela arte.

    the cartoonish graphics and soundtracks are fine and mini-games are fun but unfortunately, it has 2 big problems. (I recommend developers make a tv series instead of video games)
    cons:
    1- It is too short ( I finished the game under 4 hours on Toad difficulty)
    2- no online co_op !!

    I'm glad that someone finally done something with this IP. The game is ok. Personally I would like to have more beat n up levels and less (more quality) mini games but as the first attempt in battletoads it's fine. I see a lot of work was put in this game.

    Booted up my Xbox one s to play one of my beloved franchises and finished this not only in 3 hours, but the cutscenes make up 1/3 of those 3 hours... So, 2 hours of real play and a bland story. Rare should've salt and peppered this game some more and keep it in the oven some more and more, but sadly not. It will be a forever horribly bad.

    Pure fun. My husband and I played the original game prior to this one to remind us of what we enjoyed about this game and I have to say I actually liked this one more. It was fun and I like the duel controls it realeia about teamwork. Was a little iffy on the art style at first but found it vert charming after a few minutes. The variety in gameplay was fantastic.     Very colorful, funny and difficult, this game one problem is it is to short and you end up wanting more. Their humour is amazing and it's a fun run to all ages. Playing with friends is even better

    Juggling genres is the series’ trademark and the latest game offers much larger variety in that aspect than any of its predecessor. Most of the genres were tackled well enough, but not all ideas are spot-on and almost every part of the game could be improved. It is the best Battletoads game to date though and it would’ve scored higher if it wasn’t for one frustrating and infuriating section towards the end of the campaign. [11/2020, p.55]
