Don’t get me wrong Quantic Pinball wasn’t the best pinball game I’ve ever played and it did have a few shortcomings so I went into playing Babylon 2055 Pinball not expecting too much. In my opinion though Babylon 2055 Pinball might be better than the other game that I mentioned and that’s mainly because it has a little bit more in terms of variety but there both far from being perfect. You will notice straight away that each table feels considerably different in this game and that wasn’t always the case with Quantic Pinball. Each table feels great and the best thing is that this game possesses more of a challenge than the other game which means the replayability is a little higher this time around. There is still not enough replayability though and I think not adding an online component is a mistake because that would’ve made the game have a lot more replay value. Another thing where this game has more variety than the other pinball offering is when it comes to the gameplay. The game is filled with quite a few different mini-games and these mini-games are meant to deliver special gameplay moments, and guess what they do. In fact I enjoyed the gameplay that much that I would’ve loved more content to play, but unfortunately there isn’t a huge amount of content for you to sink your teeth into. This is a shame because that means you can’t play the game for long periods because you do start to become bored of it. Obviously the most important aspect of a pinball game is the ball itself and the physics that go with it, and thankfully they’ve got this aspect spot on. Don’t get me wrong this game isn’t blessed with lots of realism and this may be off-putting for some, but even though I like quite a bit of realism I found the ball physics to satisfy me quite a bit. I really liked the presentation side of the game in Quantic Pinball and thankfully I liked the presentation side of the game here as well. The visuals are packed full of neon colours and the accompanying sound design works well with the visuals and the best thing is that neither of these aspects get on your nerves, which is great. At the end of the day whilst Babylon 2055 Pinball may not be the best pinball game in the whole world you will without a doubt have some enjoyable moments with the game. There are a few shortcomings to contend with but these issues don’t hold the game back too much and if you’re a big fan of pinball games then you will be able to look past these issues and for that reason the game gets a thumbs up from me.… Expand
