Autumn’s Journey on Xbox isn’t long, bombastic or even particularly interactive, but it is a well-crafted visual novel that endears you to its characters. Expect nothing more than a fantastical short story with a hint of romance, and you’ll be on track for a couple of hours of swooning entertainment.

Fans of visual novels might get an hour or so of enjoyment out of Autumn’s Journey but I’d like to have seen more choices factored in to give the tale some variety. I found myself getting bored pretty quickly with the story on offer. As it is, an easy 1000g is most likely the best reason to get this.

    Let there be Dragons!!

Autumn's Journey is a nice visual novel game that is set in the world of Ishtera with Dragonkind and Heavnekind races. You play as the character Auralee, a wannabe knight in training from the town of Berri. Auralee encounters a boy who goes by the name of Kerr and she soon finds out he is no ordinary boy, he is of Dragonkind!

Kerr is on a mission too regain once again his Dragon form and you playing as Auralee are now guiding Kerr on his mission!. The visual art in this game is great, from still background shots through to animated cartoon like scenes to spice things up a little.

This visual novel contains over 41,000 set though out chapters and has 3 different endings. Overall all a great little visual novel game that will set you back 2-3 hours to finish.

    Good little game!

After a rather inelegant introduction, Kerr states he's really an Earth Dragon. Whether he likes it or not, Auralee is now involved in his mission to regain his dragon form. Along with some help by a fellow dragon-kind named Ilmari, their journey begins... This is a basic otome style visual novel. There are a modest bunch of expanding decisions and mission determinations that lead to three essential endings. The controls are acceptable except for the skip which is extremely fast when it works as it should. I was unable to get it to connect in some situations and afterward when it drew in it would separate randomly. Obviously, this is troublesome when you're playing through for various endings, though in any case it is anything but a minor trouble. Autumn’s Journey is a short, yet elegantly composed visual novel that would be an incredible decision for individuals who appreciate a dream story with some adorable, anime style communications and being a tease. The game gives the feeling that there is critical backstory for this world in the personalities of the makers, and has a completion that leaves space for a spin-off. I would cheerfully play another game set in the realm of Ishtera whenever given the opportunity. If you’re into the genre be sure to head on over to the Xbox digital games store and pick this one up!
