Well, Autobahn police 2 is nothing like that.
I understand that some games can have some bugs, but bugs that require you do restart the game every now and then because you for example get stuck with holding a high speed camera in your hand, is annoying. The bugs also makes it hard to determine if you are following a high as a kite, crazy driver or if this is just the normal morning rush in this region of Germany. You might see a car colliding in other cars, but giving them a fine will give you minus points. All in all, its so many bugs and glitches.
The main mission is incredible short, the story is extremely thin and it is so easy anyone can do it on their first try and no one knows why you have different reply options, when it all ends up with the same outcome.
The side missions are repetitive as f.... I have arrested the same dude in the same truck for being high while driving around 15 times (I am looking at you Oliver Schmidt!) , once I arrested him, put him in jail, drove back on the autobahn and who do you think flew by me like a rocket in his textile transport truck, the same dude, still high as Chong pretending to never have seen me before!!
Other annoying things; Yeah, I understand that the developers though it was very funny to add a radio message reporting that there had been a traffic accident involving a truck with teddy bears, but playing that messages every 3rd minute is killing me. I have not been able to turn off the radio messages that does not apply to me.
In the game you can unlock a shooting range on the police station, this requires a small "mini game", where you always hit the same spot on the target. You cannot get better or worse.
When measuring distance and speed on other cars, most of them are driving in 124,90 km/h, you might also get a message saying they are driving too close to the car in front of them even though there are no other car for miles.
Written messages, (like informing you of the speed and distance on the cars you are checking), is written with white small letters. If you are driving in the daytime with some sun, its so bright you cannot read what it says.
If you do a traffic stop, the cars you are stopping might try to make a run for it. To force them to stop is extremely easy as you just have to drive in front of them and hit the breaks. You will then have to arrest the driver, but you will never be able to determine why they ran, you just drive them to jail and that is that. You don't even have to call a tow truck, you just leave their car there blocking the road.
I have no idea why the 3 cars you can chose from is equipped with blue lights and sirens, as the other drivers don't give a damn, if you don't flip on your led screen telling them what to do, they will drive as they wont. In one mission, i was unable to reach my destination because the other cars blocked me in.
There are at least two types of trucks you cannot stop, you are just told that is not possible. You might ask yourself why they are even in the game as that is what the whole point of the game.
I played this game for about 10 hours as I was hoping some new missions would unlock after some time, it did not and for me it is hard to swallow that a fan created GTA mod beat the hell out of the gaming experience this game has given me.
For me this game seems like a project that the developers had high hopes for, but then got bored and just released it for a way too high price to cover as much of their loss as possible. I am quite sure no one is proud of this product.… Expand
