I have no problems with a game that has to evolve. But a product that is still unplayable a month after release is not acceptable. The latest (only) update has really killed off my enjoyment. Still screen tearing, unstable 30-34 frames per second - unrelenting stutter. Among dozens of other functional problems (like multiplayer crashes, dim headlights make driving at night impossible, no pedal calibration, too few setup save slots, setups randomly lost, static cockpit view angle completely unsuitable for racing rig users, keyboard support removed through patch,...) there's not even a way to get at least Force Feedback to feel right. Feels like driving a hovercraft. I expected little and yet I was bitterly disappointed. On PC I really love the game and everything has to offer, but D3T have made a bodge job on the console port. The icing on the cake is that they communicate that the next paid DLC was given higher priority than the extremely disturbing functional problems. Surely nobody can understand that. It is absolutely incomprehensible to me on what basis people score the game at 8, 9 or even 10. In my opinion, these cannot be real ratings. Just have a look at the ACC forums, the number of critics is overwhelming. Expand

It's a great game, but too many major bugs that you can't play it. Bad communication from the Editor.

Buyer beware - avoid this game until it is fixed! Launch problems include graphics stuttering, frame drops from 30fps, racing wheels not detected, lights that don't work at night and the 'free', no multiplayer private lobbies, and the 'free' DLC pre-order pack is to be released at a later unspecified date. Some players are reporting game crashes too.

Reader beware with the biased EG

Another poor console port from Kunos and 505 games and a pure cash grab to release the game on this generation of aging consoles. On the next gen consoles it should have a chance of running properly at a fixed 30fps or higher. You will notice the stutter and frame drops on all the current generation consoles.

If you are looking for a single player career mode it's best to move on, the career mode is outdated and awful even on PC.

Avoid this game until you read that it has been fixed. The PC version took months for them to get right too. Better still wait until the new consoles are released and the hardware has some hope of delivering a decent experience.

The game is so stutterly and with inconsistent frame rate/ frame time that after short period I get a heavy headache and my eyes burn. Typically I am not sensitive to this kind of issues at all. Published gameplay video is completely different from the user experience. Ridiculously full of bugs like random game crashes, wheel not being detected, FFB or button settings being reverted, etc.The game is so stutterly and with inconsistent frame rate/ frame time that after short period I get a heavy headache and my eyes burn. Assetto Corsa Competizione hides, behind a theme that may seem unattractive, one of the best driving experiences available on console. The next-gen improvements are led by that 60fps performance, new content for more races, and visual improvements that doesn't feels of the next-gen feel. It doesn't matter for those who are looking for a real racing experience. In this moment, Assetto Corsa Competizione is the best racing experience you can find in consoles.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is one of, if not arguably, the best racing simulator you can find on the Xbox. Sure, it may serve you some humility with a side of humble pie, but if you stay with it, it will become one of the most rewarding racing experiences you can have on the platform.

All in all, 505 Games and KUNOS Simulazioni have a great simulator for wheel users. It provides excellent feedback and is the way the play, if you’ve the right set up. Controller users can still find enjoyment if they take the time to tweak settings, but they will definitely miss out to a degree. Those less experienced with racing games should probably be wary of jumping in here too, as the sim style of racing could be a turn off until they “git gud”, as they say.
