Captain Thorn Brenin, the guard Lo Pheng and scribe Hopper Rouley don’t yet know that the Reapers have returned and are planning to drown the world in blood so they can awaken the slumbering gods.

The story can change at any time depending on your choices, sometimes leading to a character’s death. This won’t end the game, however, as the narrative continues without the hero but takes into account the consequences of his demise on future events. Don’t rely on a single tactic or a powerful team to win the game – the AI in Ash of Gods adapts to your gaming style and forces you to be more cunning!

From the number of different elements in battle, the amount of choices in paths and story, the maintenance of your party and making sure you keep a supply of Strixes for survival, Ash of Gods: Redemption is designed for those with a tactical mind. The story is well written and makes you try hard to keep your characters alive to survive the Reaping. But it is quite unforgiving and can be too difficult, which could be quite frustrating for some.

There is a good game in here, one with plenty of ambition, spirit, polish and immersion. But it could have been so much more.

If you have an Xbox One X and sit a fair distance away from your TV to play though, definitely give it a wide berth until you know its text has been enlarged via a patch. Assuming one is ever delivered, that is.

The game starts with an amazing cinematic that gave me goose bumps. As we see in the cinematic two army is clashing and few of them from our side stepping up and they strike first with their powers beyond human powers. Each time you get to a new place or complete a quest there'll be another relevant conversations in the game as the game is highly based on a story and strategy game play which is
cool for lore lovers. Also you have chance to choose your answer in some dialogues. You can take up to six party members into any battle, and both you and the CPU take turns moving units rather than each character acting dependent on their speed. Each character has a range of actions available to them and when attacking an opponent you can choose whether to reduce either their health or energy. If any unit’s energy is reduced to zero, any subsequent attacks they receive will deal double damage.
This game has an epic story and it's a hardcore roleplaying game so you go discover this clash of the gods yourself on your Xbox One console!
