The visuals are excellent, as is the design and overall tone of the piece. There are moments where the gameplay becomes a bit tricky, and the logic required doesn’t always make sense, but it is very cheap and that allows you to take a gamble on it; it’s certainly well worth the asking price.

Certainly have to do a written review, because probably one of my worst video reviews. In Apocaclipsis you play as Harry I guy trying to find his lost love. You journey across tons of point and click scenes based off Revelations and 15th Century European art. It all looks really creepy, and sounds even more terrifying. Nergal, leader of the band Behemoth's music just makes this game really dark feeling. It almost feels depressing at times, and it should based on the subject matter. You can understand that though because it's based on the end of the world. The sounds just really hit a nerve some times like people screaming , and such. I'd say this is one of the first games where the sounds effected me so much. They did a great job with this. His Narration is just amazing as well. The sites and sounds are just on point to the subject matter of the game, and it really delivers its dark message, and loss of hope feeling. It really drives home on medieval philosophy and beliefs, it also takes cues from Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy”. Every character and location is based off art from Hans Holbein, Michael Wolgemut, and Albrecht Dürer. You can see their classical woodcuts brought to life in Apocalipsis.
The puzzles are fairly simple. I wish they would have been a tad more difficult. I think you can finish the base game in around two hours, but there is additional bonus levels. Which is awesome. I love when games throw you a little something extra. It really gives you more bang for your buck, and some extra replay value. Still with that being said it is one of my favorite puzzlers of the year. It's hard to really explain , but Apocalipsis just delivers a strange feeling for you like most horror games can't even deliver. I think the developers of this game were really special, and did an amazing job at making you feel something as you played it. I also think they picked the right person to lend their sounds, and narration. Apocalipsis is just blended together beautifully and perfectly to deliver it's message. I highly recommend this game to point and click, puzzle, and horror fans. Even though it really isn't mean't to be a horror game I don't think. There is just something terrifying about it. Check it out for yourself, and let us know what you think. I think you are really going to be surprised, and creeped out by this one.

Pros: Beautiful yet still grotesque Art Style
Narration and Music really make you feel uneasy
    Interesting world and story
    Extra Content

Cons: A little easy, and short

Overall: 7.4 Apocalipsis really makes you uncomfortable from start to finish. All though the puzzles may be easy, there is nothing easy about the way it makes you feel. Never has a a puzzler gave me the feeling Apocaclipsis delivers. I like that games are mean't to deliver emotions, and Apocalipsis does that perfectly.

Some strange items are unrecognizable and it can become a guess work to figure out their use. The theme is obviously very dark and brooding. Even the male character seem to be sick and has that annoying coughing sound from time to time. All of these sends an uncomfortable vibe all throughout the chapters. If you are looking for something close to Tormentum - Dark Sorrow (which is significantly a better game), you might appreciate Apocalipsis. Just be informed that this is a very short game as I finished it in about 3 hours. Apocalipsis: The Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good And Evil, I can only recommend as it's a value priced for the quick consumption of the game that lies within. Expand

Yes, he attracts with a unique visual style, but that's about it. The story here is divided into three episodes, one main and two short ones. But there is no solid narrative here, no dialogues, nothing. Just a set of screens that want to impress us with their grotesqueness, but leave behind only negative feelings.

There are also two types of puzzles - either very simple or very illogical, where there is no logic in the solution. Just poke until it resolves itself. Also, the musical accompaniment is not very good, but at the same time there are no voiced dialogues, there are no dialogues at all even in the text. I don't recommend this game to anyone. Glory to Ukraine!
