    A Plague Tale : Innocence un juego que enamora y si empiezo asi de fuerte porque desde que comienzas la historia hasta que terminas estas conectado completamente al pesonaje. En cuanto a jugabilidad es bastante basica y sencilla puedes hacer sigilo y tu puedes elegir si ser mas bestia o no . Graficamente una pasada , de lo mejor de la anterior generación .     Não tem muito oque falar desse jogo né, simplesmente eu fala por sí próprio, jogo excelente de qualidade que vale a pena todos jogarem e ver essa obra de arte, jogo com uma história peculiar e bem curiosa onde te coloca em situações onde você é obrigado a seguir em frente para desvendar os mistérios que vem acontecendo realmente é um excelente game.

    When I came to the last chapter when Rodric pushes the cart I had enough of this game... The guards that needs to be taken out... And it's even possible to miss which make me have to see the same sequence over and over when first Amicia then Rodric takes over... And then after what felt like an enternite get to be killed because I missed a F*CKING rock with the useless sling...

    One of the most slept-on games of last gen. It's different and it's incredibly well-made. No real issues with it and it's incredibly impressive that, I think, this game is technically a AA game. It's a unique experience and I think all the characters are near-perfect. It's a great time.

    Good, just good. It really dragged on towards the end, but at least the ending was nice. If the game had focused on more nice moments like that, developing characters and story, instead of the endless repeititve puzzles and murdering of men, it would have been a lot better. Instead we got a medeival simulator where you play as a teenage girl that can somehow murder hundreds of grown maleGood, just good. Not to mention that only male characters suffer and die horribly in this game. Where is the inclusivity when it comes to women suffering? Males truly are the expendable gender. I am tired of endlessly murdering men in games now, and the same old story progression and character tropes, time for a new hobby I think.

The plot is interesting, the moments where children see or do some terrible things (for example, when they promote rats to a soldier at a closed lattice) are done perfectly and you experience the desired emotion, it is a pity that this does not affect the characters themselves. At the moment when this happens, they certainly say "oh no, what a horror," but after-nothing. It is especially disappointing, in these scenes, Hugo. What he was at the beginning of the game, he remained, except that he learned to control rats.
    Touching upon Hugo's disease, you really want to know what kind of leprosy this is and what secrets their relatives keep. Unfortunately, this was not fully told. Yes, this is an ancient generic "gift," yes, it can control rats, yes, this gift is associated with rats. But there are no details. Even the mother in the chapter for HUGO says that she will explain everything, but alas, she fell into a coma without telling anything. It remains to be hoped that in the sequel this will be told in more detail.
    Amicia's relationship with her brother is interesting. At the beginning of the journey, she does not love her brother, because because of him, she hardly saw her mother, and even more so she did not see him.     The gameplay is revealed only in the last chapter, when you already have all the abilities in your hands. Arenas become more diverse and you can go through them as you want. But before that, all locations are boring and uninteresting. You do not have any variety in the passage, they all go through the same scenario that you see with the naked eye.     Artificial intelligence is amazing. All soldiers have an angle of view as if they are looking through the visor of a helmet. If they find a corpse, they will very very diligently look for you for 20 seconds, and then with the words "oh, yes, they left a long time ago" return to their rails and continue to walk from shelf to shelf. The way they react to rats is especially amusing. Game situation: two soldiers are standing nearby, I lure rats to the first handful, which eat him. The second, after 5 seconds, understands that rats have come running and the detection trigger works for him. He leaves to check the place where I seemed to be, and finding nothing, he goes back, straight to the rats, which, of course, eat him. The soldiers don't seem to see them.     Also, I did not understand at all why in the game there is an opportunity to leave HUGO in place or keep it nearby. I never left him in the whole game (except for the first chapter, in the garden, where it is necessary according to the plot), because there is no need for this. With him, your speed does not decrease, you can still shoot from a sling, and if you leave him and move away, he will scream and give you away. So why leave it? Some kind of useless function and an unnecessary feature.
    Shooting with a sling is interesting, the first 3-4 arenas. Then any interest disappears. Auto-aim will do everything for you, but you can’t turn it off, only reduce it (and even then only slightly). There are enough projectiles, but, again, they are only interesting when you have them. You get to a location that is completely built on the use of a new gadget, you go through it, and then you realize that outside this location it is not very useful. Against people you use a simple stone and acid for a helmet (after improving one of the skills, the need for this acid disappears), against rats you use a stone that attracts them. The remaining shells are needed only for "puzzles".

    I have t admit that the graphics and the décor of the game is impressive. You can clearly see inspiration from art and architecture history. it feels authentic and real. The characters are well-built the story is pretty interesting. But the gameplay is incredibly boring. Simple mechanics work fine as long as you have something to explore in the world.     Sorpresa total. Un juego del que me habían hablado muy bien y que me acabó sorprendiendo. Personalmente me encantan los juegos de sigilo pero en este juego se le da una vuelta de tuerca a las mecánicas del género y sale un juegazo como este. Estoy deseando que salga A Plague Tale Requiem. Juegazo totalmente recomendado.

    La historia es muy buena tanto que te atrapa bastante, las mecánicas del juego son buenas aunque considero que se pueden mejorar sobre todo con Hugo. El echo de tener que esconderte para sobrevivir te hace sentir en constante tención y tener que pensar para escapar y sobrevivir hace que tu experiencia jugando sea excelente.

The game often falls flat, though, when it attempts more high-paced combat scenarios, as the controls and the super-slow auto-aim are just not fit for that task.     One of the best games I have ever played. I love the era its set in. The game look beautiful and the story is a masterpiece. I recommend everyone to play this game. Also, the soundtrack suits the story so well and I guarantee that you'll add the soundtrack on Spotify.

    I did like the game, still, some frustrating moments with weird difficulty jumps are in the game. Couldn't leave a lower score because of the many other things that the game does well. There is no reason not to play it.

    J'ai beaucoup aimé ce jeu. Il est prenant et l'histoire est bien écrite, quelques phases un peu répétitives mais dans l'ensemble, le jeu est agréable à faire. Durée de vie correcte, ni trop long, ni trop court. J'attends le second qui à l'air plus aboutit !!

    The game itself is really similar to Last of us.The levels are linear and the puzzles are pretty straightforward.The combat can be annoying as hell .The archers can take you out even when you are behind a barrel or some other cover.

    It was the first game I made 100% (10/04/20 21:05). Good story, good soundtrack and very varied gameplay, when I saw the demonstration videos I thought it would just be stealth and run away from mice with torches and if the game was just that for me it would be interesting but it is much better than I imagined undoubtedly one of the best games of 2019.

The story follows a young girl who is pretty quickly tasked with a quest to protect her younger brother while they sneak through a city and countryside infested with deadly rats and evil men.     The story follows a young girl who is pretty quickly tasked with a quest to protect her younger brother while they sneak through a city and countryside infested with deadly rats and evil men.

    The game is not really great at the beginning, but it does begin to improve and you wind up really getting invested in the characters by the end. If you can get past the fact that you spend most of the game escorting an annoying kid around, you're in for some really cool moments.

    Most of the gameplay is stealth-based, which is easy enough to not be frustrating. The puzzles were also very clever-using the vast array of tricks that you learn to make you think outside the box.

    The dialogue and voice acting was not really that great, but it does get the point across and it's fairly bearable. I think the story was interesting enough to carry everything through.

    The level design is probably the greatest thing about the game. As soon as you find yourself making your way across a rat infested battlefield trying to hide in the shadows while using the rats against the guards, you'll be hooked.

    Definitely a highly recommended game! I don't know that I would play through it again, but worth completing for sure!    … Expand

    I enjoyed the setting, story and overall atmosphere quite a lot. However, the gameplay itself can not be called smooth. I guess it would be better for the game to make emphasis on the immersion and get rid of badly done and dull upgrade system and looting.

    Story: A consistent, thrilling and moving story that makes a grown-up man cry. Beautiful example of love between sister and brother, mixed into medieval age with a bit of fantasy. 10/10 Gameplay:    This is THE GAME.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This was a game that was recommended to me by someone else and after seeing it on Xbox Game Pass, I decided to give it a go. I was so glad to try this game out as it is really fantastic. Without giving away the story you play as Amicia De Rune, a french girl during the Hundred Years War (1337-1453) and events unfold as you have to go on the run with her little brother Hugo. The game does rely on stealth and more so being careful and thinking about how to take down enemies rather than run head on. There is a very cool mechanic with the light vs darkness with the "Plaque" and it works well. Overall a fantastic game, Fantastic story and overall well worth a look at.… Expand

    My wife watched the whole gameplay like a really well-made movie. (Minus for her, that I was looking for loot everywhere) Try it.
    The story is very engaging, soo emotional, wife was crying at some parts.

Only downside is the last 3 chapteres felt a bit rushed in my opinion, the mystery behind plague and inquisition should be explained a little better. Время действия игры 1348 год, Франция. Играем мы за пятнадцатилетнюю девочку Амицию, рука об руку по большей части происходящего путешествующую со своим младшим братом Хьюго. На них упали все тяготы и страдания преследования инквизиции, которая убила отца детей, уничтожила их родной дом и жаждет завладеть малышом в виду исключительной редкости и особых свойств его крови. Франция вовлечена в тяжелую изнурительную войну, страну изводит чума и бесчисленные полчища крыс. Мрак, боль и отчаяние - всё это с блеском удалось передать в А Plague Tale. А что есть у нашей несчастной Амиции, чтобы противостоять этой нескончаемой безнадеге? Праща, чуток алхимических секретов, горстка друзей и последние крохи храбрости. Как оказалось этого вполне достаточно, чтобы преодолеть все трудности. Я вот даже не хочу расписывать все подробности секретов борьбы наших героев с врагами ибо в данном случае это всё спойлеры, тут ведь каждый элемент открывается постепенно и реально удивляет и доставляет удовольствие в процессе. Одно лишь скажу, что здесь от вас не потребуется по большей части сиюминутных решений, в основном балом правит тактика и продуманность дальнейших действий, скорость здесь практически ничего не решает, ну разве что время от времени. Итого по игре: сюжет великолепен, геймплей удивительный и нетривиальный, героям сопереживаешь с первой до последней минуты. Однозначные рекомендации для любителей нуарных стелс-экшенов от третьего лица с неординарным подходом. Шедевр!!!… Expand

    What a ride. Expected a walking simulator, got a solid adventure almost of the quality of an Uncharted or TheLastOfUs. Movment and animation could have been a bit smoother, and i missed an italian voiceacting, but this title is definitely an artwork in design, gameplay and sound. A must-play!

    Truly one of the best experiences I've had in a game. Graphics, voice acting, story, message, gameplay , music - everything here screams top notch.

    I truly didn't want it to end, brilliant game, a true masterpiece.

    Good story. Ok execution. Horrible crafting system. Frustrating control setup. Too linear to enjoy properly. Freedom of movement is limited. Often times you'll want to run and the game won't allow it. Completed on XB Gamepass, or would have rated lower if I had to spend money on this. You will die in this game due to poor control and aiming no doubt.

    It is very rare nowadays that a game will have such effect on me. I was hoooooked.     Gameplay is also very satisfying, combat is engaging. Usually I do not stealth games, but this one is made the right way. I never felt like the game was funky and unfair. The opposite. If I screwed up, I died. But never due to a faulty enemy.

    Kept me invested in the characters journey from beginning till the end.
    For 3 days I could not play anything else, absolutely loved it.

    I really enjoyed this game from start to finish. When I wasn't playing the game I was still thinking about it. The gameplay is great, there is a heavy focus on stealth and puzzles. The characters and story are both great. I was blown away by how much I liked this game. Thanks to Game Pass for letting me try this hidden gem, it will probably find its way to my physical shelf as well.

The characters and the story made this game, I didn't think I would end up being so attached to the point of getting emotional and wanting more of them at the end. What I enjoyed the most, generally speaking, is that this felt like a complete journey, as it took us to a variety of situations with the characters that weren't limited just to horror or fantasy. The dark atmosphere, suspense, and mystery in the second chapter built an unique experience that I would really love to relive, the sense of adventure I got when the group found the castle somehow inspired me to explore the world just to find a similar place and adopt it as a shelter, and it's impactful how much of the horror factor is based on the crude reality; Europe was such an horrible place to live by the time of The Inquisition and The Black Death, with constant conflicts making everything worse. It makes you think how much innocent blood has been spilled because of extreme beliefs. A detail I loved was how, instead of getting immediately thrown into the action as always, we got to experience those beautiful and bittersweet moments of calmness and peace between the characters, highlighting what finding a new home and a new family means to those who have lost everything. All these chapters in the castle are staying with me, forever.… Expand

The gameplay is varied, innovative, and exciting, especially with the amazing suspenseful soundtrack. The graphics are phenomenal and the acting is top-notch. My only issue with the game is the slight decline in the story during acts 15-16 (roughly after the Hugo Mission, until the final boss fight). The death scenes aren't very impactful at all if I'm honest, and the Nicholas fight is pretty damn average. Despite those small hiccups, this game is well worth a playthrough. I'd love to see more studios release games like this. I heard there is a sequel in development and I cannot wait for what Asobo Studios has in store for the next installment!… Expand

I have a terrible problem of remembering people's names, therefore, the game deserves some credit because I am capable of this: Amicia, Hugo, Roderic, Arthur, Lucas, or Mélie which clearly states that they were credible in their emotions and actions. The graphic is good, nothing special. It fits the atmosphere and the rats are impressive. However, the game suffers from its gameplay, which is its big negative. This is a stealth game in which the protagonists are a teenager and a 5-year-old boy. What completely destroys the credibility and immersion is that they are a pair of young Garrett's children. They can sneak almost under a guard's legs unnoticed as if they were trained by Corvo. In other stealth games (Thief, Dishonored, etc) we play as a professionalist, that's why this gameplay is not working here. In the game, there are some fights (quite a few, actually) and they are bad as well. The player uses Amicia's sling and JUST that sling. Also, this has many absurds like the above-mentioned stealth mechanics: every guard who has no helmet dies from a single shot from a sling, the main boss which is definitely someone who has no protection on their head has to be shot 3 times. This is just silly. The game losses its edge after 8 chapters and gets really boring. It is worth playing due to the story and characters. A Plague Tale Innocence had the potential to become a medieval 'the Last of Us' but in the end, it does not work well. Still, it is a below-average game.… Expand

    Very good voice acting and characters which make up for relatively simplistic and weak gameplay and story. Difficulty level needs a good hike to be truly rewarding as resources are over-abundant and checkpoints very frequent. Very little replay value but I do think the characters will stay in my memory for a long time.

    - you can't really do much than just be stealth and kill things with a slingshot. This maybe sounds weird but the thing is that the stuf you can do feels so satisfying that you get a smile everytime you do it.
    - The story is freaking great.
    - The graphics look amazing and also the performing of the game is really good! (played on xbox one s)
    - The game has a amazing atmosphere.
    - The characters in this game feel unique and real as they all have their own problems.
    - I normally hate stealth but this game proved me wrong and made it fun and gave a lot of freedom later on when you as a player where more experienced and used to the mechanics.

    - Hugo can be a little annoying sometimes but i can see that as extra step of character development because maybe that is intended to be that way and it feels real.

    So my rating will be a 9/10 and I will always recommend people to play this game and someone will never be not satisfied by playing it. It just simple is a really amazing game most people never even knew it existed.    … Expand

    This game is simply beautiful, the story is just so sad and emotional that you connect with the characters, but I think the battle mechanics and animation of deaths could be better, I think is one of the best games of 2019.

    A good overall experience. Great story and art, but mediocre gameplay. Some sequences were very offensive in the design department, having to guess the 'correct answer' how to beat them, after more than enough tries. Another 'game' with these same problems, that's the real plague in the AAA (and some AA) industry today.

    It's a walking simulator. Nothing more, nothing less. There's a good story here, but some really poor design. Trial and error should not be a part of a game like this, where deaths can really break immersion. Oh, look, I have a large rock and can pelt this guy in the face...no you were supposed to throw a rock at some pans and sneak past him. Ok I'm out.

This serves as the tutorial where you learn how to use your sling and traverse the landscape stealthily. Not long after that however Lion chases aThe game is set in medieval France. The Inquisition is making in-roads into the country and a rat plague is killing people. You play as Amicia de Rune, daughter of Nobleman Robert de Rune, as the two are exploring the forest with their dog Lion. This serves as the tutorial where you learn how to use your sling and traverse the landscape stealthily. Not long after that however Lion chases a wild boar into a darker area of the forest and gets dragged to his death by some unknown force, causing Robert and Amicia to retreat back to the safety their home. Their respite is brief as the Inquisition invades their home, slaughtering everyone, including Robert. This forces Amicia’s mother to sacrifice herself to ensure that Amicia and her younger brother Hugo get as far away from their home as possible.

    The game’s characterization of it’s two main protagonists are well done. Their relationship at the start is kind of awkward. It’s clear that Amicia has a stronger relationship with her Father than with her Mother and Hugo, the latter two spending most of their time together in Hugo’s room as Beatrice tends to some ailment in Hugo’s blood. Being forced into this dangerous new world alone certainly doesn’t help Amicia and Hugo get off on the right foot. Amicia serves as the voice of reason and responsibility while Hugo serves as the innocent, wide-eye kid that he is. Initially, Hugo’s naivety and childlike whimsy, such as being fascinated by frogs blowing bubbles while underwater, frustrates Amicia as the two of them are trying to avoid danger and survive being hunted by enemy soldiers. However, it’s that same childlike wonder that makes Hugo easier to like as it’s juxtaposed to this death and disease riddled world. Throughout the game, Hugo and Amicia can stumble across various types of flowers, which serve as one strand of the games collectibles. Once discovered, Hugo plucks one of the flowers and places it in Amicia’s hair, an act that does a phenomenal job of illustrating the development and warmth of their relationship. As the game progresses, the two grow more trusting of each other and their abilities, becoming more comfortable around each other often cracking jokes and sharing stories about their parents. By the end, you really do get a sense of how far Hugo and Amicia have come in terms of their familial bond.

    At first, the core gameplay loop revolves around primarily stealthing around enemy soldiers. Although it’s not always a welcomed strategy, there are times where direct combat is involved using your sling to launch rocks to stun or kill enemies. Head shots are the name of the game here, but the game auto aims like a bastard, making head shots almost insulting easy. The AI can sometimes be as dumb as door nails, all too easily distracted by loud noises, then slowly trudge over to where they though they heard it, stand there befuddled for a minute and trudge back with the customary “Must’ve been my imagination”. I was also able to cheese an enemy by getting him stuck around a light trap and horde of rats, walk around him even though he could clearly see me and then take him out with some “Somnum”.

    Then the game introduces the plague in the form of rats that behave like they’re demonically possessed. Their glowing red eyes and collective squealing as they nip at your feet, waiting for the moment to devour you and strip your body of all it’s flesh like a pack of piranhas. They erupt from the ground like a geyser and burst through the walls, flooding an area like water. The shear number of them on screen at any one time and how beautifully they’re animated is quite the spectacle. The gameplay loop then centres around using fire and light puzzles to move hordes of rats out of your path, trap them somewhere or cause them to kill enemies for you. Needless to say if you get caught amongst the rat horde, it’s has the potential to be an instant death.

    The game also features a crafting system that allows you to upgrade your Sling, Equipment and Alchemy. You can craft projectiles such as “Ignifier” which allows you to light torches, braziers and flammable materials. “Devorantis” which, when aimed at an enemy’s helmet, will force them to throw it off priming them for a head shot from the sling.

    Performance wise, this game is great. The graphics are absolutely stunning, it’s the type of world that I’d love to explore more in VR, minus the rat plague of course. Not once during my 13 hour play through did the game ever hitch, stutter, lag, crash or run sub-optimally in any way.

    Overall, A Plague Tale tells a beautiful story of family relationship building and resilience in face of monumental danger. A loss of innocence but a gaining of maturity and self-sufficiency while dealing with the horrors of war and disease. This game really put Asobo Studio on the map for me and it’s one of the best games I’ve played this year.    … Expand

I thought the stealth mechanics vastly improve as youPlague Tale was a huge surprise for me as I thought it was going to be a hokey game going into it but it turned out to be a game with a lot of heart and thought put into it’s design, puzzles, and world building. The game has an extremely gruesome tone, no surprise since it takes place during one of the darkest ages in human history. I thought the stealth mechanics vastly improve as you progress through the game and I find the story to be somewhat mature dispute the fact that it revolves around two siblings trying to make their way in world that is depressingly sinister. My one complaint for the game is that the enemy AI are not designed that well and I found many stealth sequences of the game to be way to forgiving since stealth is the main way that you progress through chapters. Also the voice acting wasn’t the best but I can forgive that since it’s not a Triple A title. Overall Plague Tale is a fun experience with clever level design that is marred by the fact that sometimes I just found the game too easy.… Expand

    I really don't know what to say, atmosphere of France, back in those times couldn't be told in a better way than this I believe. Maybe game play is not the best due to game-physics/engine that I can't really know but I highly recommend this game everyone to play. I especially want you to experience the game with French Dub.

    Good game. Visibly remarkable and with a great story from start to finish. Also, the gameplay is pretty good, it's not one of those interactive movies that you don't have to do almost anything. There are many stealth scenes but also some action. Highly recommended.

    Although it seems like you are playing a game on last-gen, this game has been very surprising in certain aspects. Despite many points that prove that this is not an AAA game, it brought enough for a fun linear experience.

    Positive points: - Atmosphere and world - Slingshot combat - The rats as a gameplay element: innovative and fun! - Mysterious condition of the little brother -    Although it seems like you are playing a game on last-gen, this game has been very surprising in certain aspects.     - Introducing new gameplay elements later in the story
    - Playing in French for total immersion

    Negative points:
    - Graphics are outdated
    - The character moves to the direction you look at
    - A lot of unnecessary deaths because of unclear level design
    - There are just a couple of enemy character models. I killed the same guy over and over again
    - The last two chapters it became repetetive

    I heard great things about this, so I decided to try it out. Unfortunately, it was waste of time.

    Everything about it is dull. Characters are forgettable, the story is nice, but lifeless, voice acting is annoying, gameplay gets old quickly and the lack of depth and replayability murders any reason to ever touch it again. Really, did anyone ACTUALLY like ANY character? Hugo is the worst kid ever!

    The combat and "bosses" were nice, but you don't see a lot of it.
    Some mechanics felt dumb, like why do you upgrade items with the same tools you need to craft slingers??
    Stealth was basic, but lacked any challenge. Puzzles were clever at first, but repetitive later on. The graphics were good and the pacing was decent, but the writing failed to keep me hooked. I couldn't care about almost anything going on. Also, that ending was VERY bland.

    I just didn't get the love for this one. You're better off sticking with Senua or The Last of Us.    … Expand

    Divertido y atrapante de principio a fin, con mucha carga narrativa pero sin hacerse pesado. Solo le veo dos pegas, que no este doblado al español (al ser tan importante la narrativa, se echa bastante de menos) y que peca un poco de repeticion en sus mecanicas (le falta un poco de variedad a su gameplay)

    A pesar de esto, es un juego muy recomendable.

    Amazing game. Simply amazing! Great story, soundtracks, voice acting, boss fights, scenery! I loved playing through it, one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played. I cannot wait for the sequel. It really does make you feel involved and connected to the characters, the sneak or aggressive options when dealing with guards really does make it feel like there are consequences, youAmazing game. The recreation of medieval France is extraordinary and very immersive, especially since the supernatural elements are delimited to the plague and the game is otherwise very well grounded (and has no combat in the traditional sense).

    Unfortunately, the gameplay is poor, as it consists mostly on scripted sequences were you have one or two obvious, pre-designed ways to solve every encounter. There is very little opportunity for exploration, if any, and any attempt at staying out of the scripted area will be met with invisible walls or scripted deaths, which can become very frustrating the very few times you may miss the intended path (which is otherwise very hard to miss, as the game will blatantly point you towards the solution as soon as you delay yourself for a few seconds, even if it is extremely obvious).

    I'd say the outcome is still very positive thanks to the high production values, especially if you invest in the story and the characters. Let's hope the sequel improves the gameplay with more traditional stealth options and especially a lot more freedom for the player. The concept would be a great fit for a semi-open world game.    … Expand

    The story isn’t terrible, to be fair, but as I said, it’s built around a girl escorting her mostly useless little brother through peril after peril. Even after he gains a few more abilities later in the game, it still doesn’t make for the most compelling gameplay. On a similar note, you’ll really need to enjoy skulking in the shadows and running for your life if you want to get the most out of the game — which, to be completely honest, I just don’t.

    Asobo Studios needs to be applauded for creating something so stunning and fantastic in every way. It’s not easy to make you care about characters in a short dozen or so hours, and the fact that A Plague Tale will be etched into my memory is no small feat. I don’t like to loosely throw around the term “Masterpiece”, but this is absolutely one of my favorite games that I enjoyed whole heartedly in recent memory. Needless to say, this is one plague you won’t want to avoid.
