Nice graphics and some good medieval sequences but poor and repetitive infiltration gameplay. An uninspired scenario without surprises too. I don't understand why this game is so well rated.

It's a walking simulator. Nothing more, nothing less. There's a good story here, but some really poor design. Trial and error should not be a part of a game like this, where deaths can really break immersion. Oh, look, I have a large rock and can pelt this guy in the face...no you were supposed to throw a rock at some pans and sneak past him. Ok I'm out.

    Pay $49.99 for "indie" game?
If you ever watch all-cutscenes in Youtube, you'll never buy this.
Cons - Bad movements. You walks like skating. - NPC moves like robot. 90s 3D games are better. - Face expression is worst like overdone botox. - This is not a game. This is a collection of cutscenes. - Playable contents are extremely easy like mocking player. - Moving -> Cutscene ->

How good I never bought this **** and could pick it up through the Game Pass.
But why do I find it ****?
To one of them, the slingshot annoys me. Far too slow in battle. Fighting the first boss, the game was dead for me. You don't have enough time to aim and it's far too hard. If you don't fight, you just run through the area or sneak around stupidly. Last of Us has done much better in

The story is no good either. And last but not least, the boy is annoyed.

    This game is toothless!
I heard great things about this, so I decided to try it out. Unfortunately, it was waste of time.

Everything about it is dull. Characters are forgettable, the story is nice, but lifeless, voice acting is annoying, gameplay gets old quickly and the lack of depth and replayability murders any reason to ever touch it again. Really, did anyone ACTUALLY like ANY character? Hugo is the worst kid ever!

The combat and "bosses" were nice, but you don't see a lot of it.
Some mechanics felt dumb, like why do you upgrade items with the same tools you need to craft slingers??
Stealth was basic, but lacked any challenge. Puzzles were clever at first, but repetitive later on. The graphics were good and the pacing was decent, but the writing failed to keep me hooked. I couldn't care about almost anything going on. Also, that ending was VERY bland.

I just didn't get the love for this one. You're better off sticking with Senua or The Last of Us.

Think Hellblade. Looks good, intriguing story, and dark opening but with the difficulty and mechanics of a child's game completely reliant upon overused and annoying stealth. The game makes you walk absurdly slow while you're holding a slowly extinguishing twig as to try to fit in some kind of intensity but everything is absurdly easy. It borrows heavily from the God of War dynamic where you send your smaller brother through to areas to open up for you as Kratos did with Atreus sometimes you get to kill guys with your slingshot but mostly your crouching in tall grass walking slowly or holding a burning twig walking slowly. The mix in "sprinting" sections which are immediately forgetful and not the least bit tense or challenging. Oh and they kill your signing the first 5 minutes. This game gets way too much praise. It does nothing new for gaming. It's a step back. Expand

Never Have i seen a game so much based solely on one mechanic, it was so boring I just could not make myself to finish it, the characters are forgettable and the charm of the world just disappears halfway through

When I came to the last chapter when Rodric pushes the cart I had enough of this game... The guards that needs to be taken out... And it's even possible to miss which make me have to see the same sequence over and over when first Amicia then Rodric takes over... And then after what felt like an enternite get to be killed because I missed a F*CKING rock with the useless sling...

It could have been a great game but aiming mechanics ruined it, especially during the cart push in chapter 16.

The story isn’t terrible, to be fair, but as I said, it’s built around a girl escorting her mostly useless little brother through peril after peril. Even after he gains a few more abilities later in the game, it still doesn’t make for the most compelling gameplay. On a similar note, you’ll really need to enjoy skulking in the shadows and running for your life if you want to get the most out of the game — which, to be completely honest, I just don’t.

Asobo Studios needs to be applauded for creating something so stunning and fantastic in every way. It’s not easy to make you care about characters in a short dozen or so hours, and the fact that A Plague Tale will be etched into my memory is no small feat. I don’t like to loosely throw around the term “Masterpiece”, but this is absolutely one of my favorite games that I enjoyed whole heartedly in recent memory. Needless to say, this is one plague you won’t want to avoid.

A Plague Tale: Innocence wasn’t even on my radar and I’m ashamed because I would have missed out on this great game and now that I’ve told you, don’t make the same mistake I almost made.
